Here are a couple full size images from the Stealth-CAM:
There were no lights on when the night image was taken, and the camera had somehow lost track of the correct date and time.

Those images sure seem pretty decent to me - particularly considering what the TBN software is probably doing to them.

The large number of batteries is good because the thing will run for a long time, but it's also bad because with only for slots in the charger, it takes three rounds of a couple hours each to recharge 12 batteries. My original intent was to hide this thing up at the front gate so I could keep an eye on the goings on there. I even bought a cable lock for it. But it's inconvenient enough to keep changing batteries and reviewing the images, I'm just going to hold off until I can get Ethernet cable strung up there and put a real security camera in.

Understand.

Even so, something like that could be useful here - just in terms of discovering what critters we've got lurking around at night (of both the two-legged and four-legged varieties)

Edit: It appears that the TBN software dithers the image resolution down during the upload process. Full resolution is 5333 x 3000, with a file size of 3.5 Mb.

So basically better than full UHD res ...

Date, time, and temp are nice features as well.

I went to the doctor yesterday, my kidney numbers were vastly improved, as was my hemoglobin. Now if I could just get back to normal sleep patterns.

I went to the florist and picked up roses for my six ladies, single rose in a vase with each being a special color with matching ribbon for that person. I never know what to get them, my late wife was easy, blue carnations.

Got a fair amount of trimming done, both trimming tree branches on the lawn and a bit more on the field. Most of the trimmings have been chipped and the chips raked under a large pine that I don't want to mow under. The chippings keep any growth (grass or weeds) to a minimum.
Also mowed about half the lawn...bit chillier than I was expecting. I'll finish the lawn tomorrow.
Couple of the branches I dropped in the field wouldn't feed through the chipper. The Woodmaxx is really good at pulling branches in, if any smaller branches are flexible. The ones I didn't chip...well, I should have done some more work with the chain saw. By the time I found this out, the chainsaw had been cleaned up and put in the garage
I kind of like to split the work between Saturday and Sunday. anyway...keeps me from imbibing earlier than I should...
Done for the day, i reckon....right about 1400, so time for a brew or two...

A clarification...so you don't think I'm a drunk... I worked 3rd shift for years before I went white collar. Sipping on a beer at 0600-0700 for a 3rd shifter was no different then you having a drink after your evening dinner

Mom and Dad used to have a mixed drink (or two in some instances ... ;) ) usually every day.

Neither one of them were drunks ... (y)

daugen, it sure is hard to get good help.

Roy, before I quit drinking all together I never drank unless I was alone or with someone. Yes I was a drunk. Now I have one or maybe two shots of Drambuie on my birthday or close to it.

Out of control Chinese rocket. Looks like it will fall in at 5:30 - 40 minutes from this post edit. Where it is now:

Looks like the rocket will hit in 45 minutes somewhere in the middle east or maybe northern Turkey.
Would be nice if it hit the water in between though.

Rain stopped early and sun came out, so got more plants in. Only the two Blackberry bushes to go until wife buys more....

Drew- sorry to here about your painter issues. Hope the rain didn't make too much of a mess. Did they finish or coming back to do more?

Stay safe and be well, and watch out for rockets :-(

Rick, why aren't the unemployed/on benefits doing that?

yea, I don't think anyone claps for them when they get back...
They should be training, not picking up RedMan cans and food wrappers

They been deployed to pickup discarded clothing, backpacks that probably were loaded with fentanyl.

55 now and cloudy, no wind so outside is black fly madness unless you're on the move. The past two days were perfect, sunny and 60 with enough wind to keep the bugs at bay. Did a major dump run this morning and restocked the beer selection.
Having a couple of cold IPA"s and listening to some John Mayall and the blues breakers. The wife is making some baked haddock filets and fries for dinner tonight, life is good!
Enjoy your evening everyone
Don't forget to duck

With all this talk about vaccine passports, I thought about carrying mine around. It's too big to fit easily in my wallet, so I looked at the password manager I use on my laptop and phone, and it can store photos, too. So I scanned the vaccination record, and my driver's license and several other documents, and put them in there. Now with a few taps I can bring them up on the phone, where the bar codes can be scanned as needed. That would have been handy to have that trip a few years ago when I discovered 600 miles down the road at the first fuel stop that I'd forgotten my wallet at home. I was still able to get some cash at a bank branch, but it was a run around waiting for copies of a signature card and standing in a long line.

I'm a big Dire Straights/Mark Knopfler fan, too. They/he have a lot of material up on Youtube, much of it interviews with him talking about the inspiration and making of his later solo work.

Patricia bought these for everyone’s Covid cards.

Years ago I worked at a brewery. At 4:00 every day, the refrigerators in the offices were opened and free beer. Quitting time was 5:00.

We’d sit around and drink for a couple hours. All would then go home.

Times have changed a tad.

That was a bad prediction it's still going at an altitude of 175km. Once it comes down to 100km it will start burning.

I generally drink Woodstock or Real McCoy but Drambuie is my favourite. NOT that I drink a lot at all. A bottle of Drambuie doesen't last too long and I never put water or ice with it. I drink it straight. My wife has taken a liking to it as it is one drink that does not upset her gut. She mixes hers with milk. I bought her a bottle for herself a couple of weeks ago.

I was on Drambuie for a while and then moved on to Glayva. Then went on to Lochan Ora, nectar of the gods. Problem is they stopped making it a few years ago.

Hey Jim Shooz, That Chinese rocket just went awfully close to you. It flew over me a few minutes before that. I predict it will come down where Skylab came down in Western Australia.

Have you tried it flaming? Fire water.
If you don't have a mustache or beard it is a good way to make money in a bar. $50.oo a shot flaming. The big native guy that bet against me lost $200.oo one night. He told me I was crazy. I told him I might be but I was 200 bux richer.

If yer gonna mix anything with your Dram it would be better if it was Glenlivet.

I know it burns . LOL A good way to test alcohol content. I haven't tried drinking it flaming though. It is a gentle flame.
