Afternoon all! Nice sunny day in the 60's with a few more to go till Sunday.
Wife is now officially done working so hopefully we an start doing things!

Tree is all cleaned up and have most of the front yard raked. Ground is still kinda of damp so not in a rush to finish. Flowers are poking up thru the ground so it's an early spring for us this year.
Can't remember the snow being gone before the end of March in my lifetime.
Keeping busy at 3 different locations with carpentry projects.
Will probably remove the snow blower and put on the mower next week.

Been good day for outside projects...stock up on critter food,rake another area,got the cement step ready for tomorrow repair.

Not much plan this evening...grill some hamburgers,set out on the deck with kittens,recliner share bowl ice cream.

Found out planting bed was too dry to pull weeds easily so I watered it with the hose and then gave the blueberry bushes each a drink with the watering can.

Got sawhorses and barn owl box set out and then spent about a half hour searching for the 1/4 sheet sander ... garage, downstairs, utility room, back upstairs to check garage again, etc.

Finally took The Woman to locate the last place where it had been used: ... in her bathroom

Got HF pipe clamp ends installed on pipes.

Did not get the MMM removed from the Kubota (did get it parked out of the way tho' ...) ... but I did get all the dirt I had been tracking down on the Kubota's tires blown off the pavement in front of the house.

She wanted a grilled burger and asked me to start the coals so I loaded up the chimney starter and got that going and cleaned off the grill and it's counter top and watched the coals until they were ready. Since I was already there I went ahead and started cooking the burgers but it wasn't long after I had put them on that the winds came, temperature dropped, and it started dropping water.

So I let her finish them up while I ran downstairs and brought the barn owl box in.

Didn't get much in the way of precipitation ... barely enough to settle the dust.

Grilled burgers, Bush's Baked Beans, and oven-baked, cubed potatoes done with some oil and Lipton's Onion Soup mix ... was delicious ...

Time to go feed the white worms.

Good evening all. 43F for the start, clear sky, calm wind. Light wind day, sky stayed mostly clear, and high temp was 80F. Slow start, bikr ride and nap all I got done today. Rain and cooler temps next week.
Covid update: Cooke 3,143 confirmed cases, 10 active cases, Montague unchanged, Grayson 11,120 confirmed cases, 36 active cases, local unchanged.

When I get home this afternoon, think I'll do a bit of tractor work...stuff I was going to do last weekend but the ground was still too frozen. The chore is to drop the snow blower off the tractor and rig the chipper to the 3PH. I can, hopefully, get that trigger loosened up on my EGO chainsaw on Saturday morning and start some trimming in the afternoon. Sunday forecast is for rain, so I'd like to get done what I can before that

good morning all. Cloudy day today in sixties with rain coming in tonight.
Should help wash away some of the pollen.

Thankfully feel much better this morning, penicillin seems to have knocked out whatever tooth infection I had and getting back to normal.
That is until they do a root canal on Tuesday. The problem was too much time between dentist and endodontist, latter too booked/backed up.
If this ever happens again, need to ask for antibiotics right away since this has happened before to me.

Today I'm going to plant whatever seedlings I have left. First a trip out to get some more bags of garden soil.
Lot of trees blooming including magnolias, very pretty out.

Good morning, it may only be drizzling but that's enough of getting wet for me, inside for the rest of the day. It will be a nice break from digging holes. Yesterday the kissing gate went in easy, replacing another gatepost was a different story. As I dug down groundwater broke through the side of the hole. It made for some very sloppy tamping, though fortunately it was only a clapper post.

.22 Hornet is definitely a round you likely want to reload. But these days, finding ANY components for any caliber is difficult.

Rich, getting hold of ammo is a problem for us too in the UK. Last week I called in my local gunshop and was lucky to find a solitary box of Sierra 55gr .224 cal blitzking on the shelves, the first I have been able to get for many months. We can only hope the hoarders will stop adding to their stockpiles and give others a chance.

Don, quite an impressive chip/mulch pile. I don't recall hiking on trails covered with chips, but have been on playgounds where it is used, and very nice.

Brought another load of splits up to the pallets yesterday. Interesting to see how much springtime springs up in just one day this time of year. Then used the chainsaw and pole saw to prune some huge lower limbs off a cedar that was encroaching on our flower bed. Put the grapple on the tractor, and along with some other clean up, carried 6 loads to the brush pile over in the north woods. Wife is happy.

It’s 45 with a high of 63 forecast. Partly cloudy with a chance of rain.

I beat the UPS driver here yesterday, but the grills did arrive. So I have two speakers to pack and put into FedEx custody today. Got the finish applied to the third one, so it was a productive day. Even found time to troubleshoot a neighbors electric golf cart.

I’ve got to do some electrical work at the restaurant today, they added some coolers for takeout beer, and need outlets for them on their own circuit.

Hard to believe that summer's comin'; 66 degrees this morning for a low and going for a high of 89 with a 30% chance of rain this evening; possibly severe thunderstorms.

But I don't expect to have to do any outside work today, and I DO hope it rains.

Good morning! A warm day. 68˚F heading to 90˚F, cloudy.

After cutting down 3' freeze burned hedges to 6" I did find a a bit of green on the bottom so I'll let them continue on for the summer and hope the warm weather will spur some new growth.

Rick do you have palm trees. All the palm trees around here are dead and the agave plants froze and have been cut back to look like big pineapples.

Our neighborhood is looking for ways to reduce the deer population. There is no shooting or hunting so it has to be creative. Now they are trapping deer with nets and killing them, then give the processed meat to the food bank. But the cost is over $40,000. a year which is between $250-$450 a deer depending on how many (80 to 180 deer) they trap each year.
