Good morning!!!!

65F and mostly cloudy @ 13:30, with strong gusty winds. Rain supposedly due in around 14:00.

High hit 70F here yesterday, was very nice.

Unloaded the sheet of 3/4" plywood out of the van and got it taken around back and moved inside the basement, along with a 1" x 4" that I'm going to use as a ledger board for setting tile.

Got about half the garage cleaned up, The Woman crushed all the aluminum cans, now have one trash can filled over half way. She also got those black tulip bulbs planted that we missed getting in the ground last fall.

Took some (non-food) trash and recycles up to cans at the end of the drive, moved some items up to shop on that trip, along with old drywall taken over to the compost pile to be crushed up.

Compost pile height has dropped considerably ... probably needs turned, but that will have to
wait until it's warm again.

Moved freebie garage door opener from garage over to the pole barn.

Rolling scaffold taken apart and moved into the living room and reassembled. The Squeak has decided she approves of this ... and is no doubt eternally grateful for more high ground to luxuriate on ...

Loaded empty propane tank into van so I can take that in and swap it out for a full one.

The Woman made spaghetti with her own white sauce for dinner last night, while I pan-seared some scallops in butter, minced garlic, and a shot of Cointreau. She didn't care for any of it ... I thought it was actually pretty good with some Parmesan on it ... despite the fact that I overcooked the scallops a bit.

After dinner I got the Menards order placed and it is now ready to be picked up. Just need to call and ask them to palletize it so it can be easily loaded/unloaded. Probably not going to have to buy cat litter for some time (10 boxes/400 lbs of it ... :ROFLMAO:) Also ordered up dry cat food and treats, as well as some high-lumen LED bulbs (5K and 10K lumen) for the basement and garage, which were heavily discounted due to being discontinued items as well as some other items.

Later I cleaned the rest of that sand/coral/aragonite and dumped it in and then we pulled the canister filter for the living room fish tank and located the problem that was causing the leak: a deteriorated/cracked o-ring on the top. Filter has a built-in UV sterilizer light and although I don't generally run it all the time, I guess it's possible that that could have caused the deterioration. Or possibly just crappy Chicom rubber ... At any rate, got a new o-ring for it ordered off Amazon last night but it could take a week to get here so we'll have to do something else in the meantime. The one from China was about half the price, but it could take a month to get here.

Just ordered wet cat food and some mysis shrimp (fish food) from the pet store, which The Woman will pick up later when she does the grocery run.

Not sure what all is on the agenda for today, beyond the above ... know that the white worms all need fed ... they seem to really be chowing down on the food I'm currently feeding them (ground up stale bread ... lol)

Might have to harvest some of those and feed them to the fish.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ... (y)

Yup. We have about 8 buckets going right now, my wife is bringing up another 4.

It’s just for fun. We will collect about 40 litres or so, and boil it down to 1.
With my neighbor we tap around 240 buckets, it also mainly for fun! He own the sugar shack, he is retired, so he Is doing the hard job. I help him, but ...mainly taste the sirop, especially with a small slip of Gin!

Sophie would complain about it. I’d go out back, drive it around on the concrete, jack it up and inspect, come in and tell her I don’t see anything wrong.

I remember my parents collecting S&H Green Stamps from one of the gas stations in town. I miss full service stations.

Full service, S&H, and we had Gold Bond. I was partial to going to the Sunoco station when young as it had cheapest gas, 180 or 190 I think it was called.
