Doug, yup, frame is still covered by warranty, but part only, not labor. A long, involved changeout even for experienced mechanic. Expensive. And of course, our local Sears is closing, actually the warehouse is completely vacant, drove past yesterday.

Finally got scheduled for the vaccine this morning......Moderna...at a CVS pharmacy 25 miles east of here (which is the closest doing the vaccines)...Moderna...both shots scheduled. Tried to get my wife scheduled immediately after doing mine, but no more slots at the same location, so she has to go 35 miles north, but gets hers a day earlier, also Moderna.

I wish the Virginia health department had developed a straight forward approach, and a website as good as West Virginia's. At least CVS has a simple scheduling system/text messaging/email system. I've been checking the CVS website everyday, and until today always said "Fully Booked." Of course, fingers crossed that everything goes well.

Walgreens is just getting going here.

PopG, and others...CVS isn't vaccinating in all states, but PA has a few towns listed...

RS ugly algae for sure

Interestingly, the fish graze on it ... or whatever is living in it.

lots of fish work going on but no pics :(

Soon ... probably something by Monday.

RS sheetcake inventory 0?!!

Yeah ... couldn't really let that stand.

It just came out of the oven and is on the cooling rack as I type this. Peanut butter fudge frosting again.

Somebody will have an unexpected treat for breakfast ... ;)

RS pretty fish sounds big

They're good sized once they reach maturity, which will take a couple of years.

By that time I should have the stand done for the 6' tank and have it set up in the living room.

I have several right now that are over 5" - maybe closing in on 6" ? - that can get up to 6" - 7" at maturity.

Well, time for the truck inspection. I'll be knocking off work about 90 minutes early to make the appointment time...

Poured first cup of coffee. 17° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 43° with lots of sun. Finished scanning all the slides I had. Pictures I had not looked at since the 70's. Still have piles of film and pictures to scan. So far I have save over 1000 pictures. I have windshield on Mule so I can see out of it. But it's design interferes with access to front storage compartment. Also did not have good ventilation vents. Found a OEM Kawasaki windshield at a local dealer. Picked it up yesterday. Need to remove old one before I can install it. Next week is going to have some warm days to do this. Back is much better. I am using a better chair when scanning. Grocery shopping this morning.

RS, Menards is continuing 11% next week. Great fish picture.

Buckeye, some people are driving all the way to Ohio for there shots here. About 100 miles away.

PJ, no Groundhogs here yet either. But Possum and Raccoon every night.

Randy, hope they find paper work.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

Mother Nature decided I needed to get up a bit early.
28 low so far, high 42 today, cool weekend coming up too. But next week is looking good if it holds, might be kidding 70 a couple of days, my old bones could handle that.
Cleaning ladies coming today, Ellen has an appointment at the same time. Gracie loves the cleaning crew but hates the vacuum cleaner. She also minds Ellen better than me, I’ll have to make her stay in the family room with me until they come down there and then move to the living room. Can’t have her killing the vacuum cleaner.

Not much going on that I’m aware today, that’s not a dare!

good morning all
colder day today, says 12 out now, and for next few days too, plus windy, "feels like" is mighty cold

Alien, I saw this article and thought the shocks may have gotten your way:

I was all psyched to get my second shot today, but it was postponed another week, in some case no surprise. At least my brother and his wife got their
first shot yesterday.

Good Morning
It’s 20 with a high of 36 and gusty winds forecast, no precipitation in the 3 day.

Yesterday was consumed by fixing stuff and doing chores both here and out and about. Today looks like it will be a repeat of that.

A friend in the power equipment business had a large box of Onan RV generator filters ( he is not an Onan Dealer) that he wanted to get rid of, so I picked them up, and will give them to a friend in Washington, PA across the state. He has an Onan generator in the fire engine he restored.

I just saw that Bucks County, where I live has a 7% inoculation rate. It’s the 3rd most populated county in PA, but is struggling to get vaccine. When I checked for an appointment this morning, there were none available. So far I haven’t been willing to drive for two hours to get vaccinated, we will see if time changes that.

27 going to 48, but 48 feels warmer with the stronger sun than it did in January.

Thomas, glad you got back online.

Need to get busy on things outside as the ground dries more. Might even take the tractor down the hill.

   / Good morning!!!! #129,234
Good morning! 57˚F heading to the mid 70s as the wind shifts this afternoon. Another cold front but this time a Texas cold front with low temps hitting only the high 40s.

Drew don't plan anything for 36 hours after you get your second shot. The people who I got my shot from are planing a shot-a thon next weekend. They will be vaccinating for 24 hours straight at a school stadium site. Family Hospital Systems to hold 24-hour, 1980s-themed COVID-19 vaccine clinic

I think Florence Nightingale caught the way germs are mostly spread- with the hands. Even though the Mask mandate will be lifted in a few days I will continue to carry my little spray bottle of alcohol in my vehicle to sanitize my hands after going in a store.

Replanted a few frozen plants that did not survive the deep freeze yesterday.

Today I need to do a few paintings on the cave wall, the subject will have something to do with hunting and gathering. :devilish:

Good morning, -4°F and going up to 25. Wind N 5 mph. Light snow in the forecast.

We are still under 'stay at home' orders. Monday I was home, Tuesday in Sudbury, Wednesday home, Thursday Sundridge, here it is Friday and I gotta go to the drug store for yet more dope for the DIL. Tylenol destroys your liver and she has T-1s, T-2s, T-3s and now she will be getting T-4s. Morphine makes her physically sick. She wont take anything that makes her sick. I really don't blame her there, I wont either.
We can go out for medical appointments and groceries and emergency supplies. What I don't get is that out of the past 7 days I have been 'running the roads' for 4 of them, and we are locked down.

I got a reply (form letter) via email from Tim Hortons, I swear the quality control section of TH is run by cats. You all know what cats are like, they could care less. They got your money and that is all they want. Your satisfaction AND quality food? Forget it.

Popgadget; if you need to drive for two hours to get your shot, how long would it take you to fly there? And why wouldn't you fly?

Have a safe day all

Good question.
The reality is that for a two hour drive, it would likely be a half hour flight or less . So by the time I drive to the airport, get the airplane out, arrange for transportation from the destination airport to the vaccination site, (where it’s probably too rural for Uber) and then do the reverse, it would likely take longer to fly and be more effort.

It’s different if you are the passenger with no responsibility for the flight and your limo (arranged by your staff) picks you up and drops you off. I’m way too “thrifty” for that.

I would likely do it if the vaccination site was an airport though.
