Fauci wins $1 million Israeli prize for '''defending science''' - ABC News
there appears to be varying views here...

15 apple blueberry muffins out and cooling off, another dozen apple cranberry muffins cooking now.
National Muffin Day is properly represented in little New Hope PA...
Apples were Evercrisp from local orchard, the bouquet of the apple comes out in the muffin.

Maybe someone will give me a million bucks for them.

You will have to compete with me. This week I ran low on spelt flour and peaches and had to supplement my ginger/peach muffin recipe with 1/2 homemade oat flour and 1/2 raspberries with the peaches and adjust the cooking time. Added cashew/date/raspberry frosting, and they were the best ever.

Good morning all, 18 going up to 31, calling for snow/rain again Monday
went out and hand shoveled part of driveway from 1" we got yesterday.
Both my wife and I have the little Polio scar, I do not remember getting mine, I only remember stuff back to about 3yrs old...
Got an email form the state telling me I am now 1A and to get my vaccine, then says for me to go find one and good luck! What a mess.

I'm in the doghouse again today. Hope you all are having a better day.

Stay safe and be well and hope all our friends in Texas get to thaw out

17F with "haze" supposedly, but it sure looks pretty bright out there to me. Windchill of 11F, headed up to a high of 23F for the day.

Swarm of black birds showed up about an hour after I got up, one squirrel on the feeder ... near empty so will refill again today. Suet feeder in entryway had a downy on it, it's almost empty as well ... so will refill that too. Have gone through 20+ suet cake so far this winter.

Finally located correct size drill bit yesterday and got mounting clips drilled out for rear speakers and then got those put on the stands and hooked up. Some additional clean up done in living room as well, more to do today.

Snow on entryway has gotten tamped down enough that it probably should be cleared and the walk salted.

Glad to hear our Texas members are finally getting some warming temps ...

Don't remember which vaccines were what, but I got at least one scar on my left shoulder from one of them. Dimly recall someone that had two.

27 days to go until the first day of Spring ...

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day.

Good morning to all! Don't know what the low was... don't care... it wasn't incredibly low, so all is good. High today supposed to be in the low 50's. Hopefully the last of the snow will melt off.

Ron, the wifey says "thank you very much!" she has been trying to cool my heels all week. I only used the walker for a day and a half, then a cane for 1 day. I have been walking without assistance since Tuesday night. She still won't let me even think about going to the shop..... ...but I can SEE things through the walls out there..... they are calling me......

Drew, thanks for posting your brother's experience.... it has been too long dealing with this injury (almost 3 years).... I am highly motivated to rehab and get on with "life".
I also had a similar "awakening" about fire service.... gave up that aspect about 15 years ago, I finally admitted to myself that I wasn't the young pup anymore. Being on the EMS side, I could get all the young muscular hose monkeys to do the heavy lifting.
The muffins look absolutely delicious! I wonder how much overnight shipping costs are these days?:licking::confused:

RNG, as captain, part of my duties were teaching continuing education courses and running the new recruit training camps. Unfortunately, in order to hold the captains position, you have to be in the top 10% of the field (street) operations on active duty.... maybe they would make an exception due to my time in service, but I haven't recovered enough to even begin the discussion.... I'm just stuck in limbo....

Today I will partake in one of those things we take for granted .... a nice hot shower. It's a bit of a task to get in... it's a tub / shower unit. When we were building the cottage, we had discussed putting in a walk-in tub, walk in shower, or the tub shower..... not sure if we made the right decision....
I need to shave too.... I am getting really scruffy looking.... I always wanted to be a "mountain man"......

Popgadget, I hope you are able to find an appropriate shipping box. They must be some heavy duty boxes....

I might have to take advantage of my disability today and make sure the recliner and tv are functioning properly :D

Everyone have a great day!

66°F and just started raining.

Guess that forces plan for inside day. Told wife I’d be working on income taxes today.

Cottage tenant, John, pulled trigger on Kubota B2601 TLB, mower, & pallet forks. Delivery expected in May. Should give him enough time to make storage facility at his property. He’s looking to get a container. He’s excited.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

I still have Ghost. I would go with a fresh win10 install, and reinstall the apps, then network the drives to copy over files. I have USB adapters I can plug a drive into and then transfer files that way. Here’s one of them.

Things are looking up here, I hope Kyle's water pressure problems are resolved. My mom is on a different water system and she only lost water for an hour. Her repairman came by yesterday with the part he ordered and fixed her main heater. She immediately called the propane company for a delivery but they were out and will not get a delivery to them till Tuesday, so she is on the list, but at 50% of a 250gal tank she should be good for 10 days to two weeks even if it stays cold.

Edit, now 19˚F but I see a bit of an orange glow in the East.

Good suggestion when you can change the bottles yourself.
She is paranoid of running out and during the winter calls for a fill-up every three weeks (about $150 to $200) when it gets close to 60%. The propane co. had a long line of people filling their 5 gallon tanks before they ran out. The county's tractors supply and Walmart must have sold out.
Kyle, how are you on propane?

We have water pressure back near normal. Don, we don't have propane. I hope the stores are able to stock up on supplies again.

Bupps, are you still hearing something cold for Texas again next week?

Ted, hope you can find some position to fill that is gratifying.

We are doing OK, but have symptoms of phlegm, body aches and headaches. we are blessed to have food, power and water. Still under boil notice I believe.

Sounds like some good muffins y'all. Wifey made some kind of healthy chocolate muffins.

Ron, nice photo of the pair.

Thanks everyone for the prayers and thoughts. I'm was going to go in on Monday, but with my symptoms having become worse, I might take off Monday too.

But you can’t post it on Facebook, they’ve disowned Australia. Cancelled the whole country like a rubber check!

32, feels like 20, constant NW wind about 20mph, gusting to 30+.

Fauchi, I believe is a good guy, when he follows the science and doesn’t get swayed by the politics of the day.
He appears a bit of a chameleon at times, but I do believe he has people’s best interest at heart.

Kyle by March 01 supposedly the north gates will open again reality is that is what models show. If this release is similar to last one then the month of March will be cold and stormy. Because of the strength of the SE Ridge my guess would be a similar path of last arctic blast effecting you all in Texas again

Hope that answers your questions

That was for 2.5”. For 3.5 ide, I have the base off of a 3.5” usb drive. I bought a couple once to harvest the drives to put in a NAS, they were cheaper than buying a bare drive.

On medical positioning....is coffee good or bad for you? How about an aspirin a day?

Depends on day of week I guess. Only drink 2 or 3 cups a day now, not about to quit. Been doing the baby aspirin daily for years. Cardiologist liked the last major workup I had so not changing that either.
