No idea how much we have here either. It's tough to measure blowing snow. We have a drift up around the garage-sunroom-well house area that is probably 2-1/2 feet by now, yet the opposite end of that concrete pad has bare spots. Local TV station this morning said we're in the 5-8" band. It's supposed to be over for us by 10pm, so it looks like I'll be getting some late night seat time.

It's only gotten up to 5° today. The Carhartt stuff is earning it's keep this week. :cold:

Power came back a while ago new pole transformer etc. pond has monitors in and sock to absorb any pollution

Did a run by the next town overs hardware store, real nice old place with a whole aisle of hardware.

Thinking of old time hardware stores, have you been to Finkle's in Lambertville? I think that its been there for like 100 years and is still family owned.

Gas and diesel prices have been going up for over a month here. The price for liquid used in asphalt has been seeing steady increases since December. I think CNN is leaving something out. Asphalt prices to increase pretty substantially if these prices keep going up

Grocery prices are going up too been noticing that for a while too

Just observations mind you on my part

If we did .. it's because it was true Randy. Last week it was 74° at LCR and -1° at my brother's place. That's a 75° delta.

That caused him to head down to South Padre Island this weekend. It was 25° there .. this morning. I'm rolling on the floor LMAO.

Just saw the latest weather report. Looks like we are gonna have a repeat of last night and today on Wednesday into Thursday. But projections are for more snowfall then this one.

Probably have another "Snow Day" from work. Wednesday or Thursday.

Spent an hour or so earlier shoveling the driveway.

Sold my tractor just before covid. Didn't want to have to deal with installing a new clutch, and having to send out the starter and alternator out for a rebuild. We were planning on selling and moving south. Figured we wouldn't need it.

Well covid struck and work went on a hiring freeze so I couldn't transfer to another state.

I was sure wishing I had that old tractor today.

Gonna really wish I had it still on Thursday morning

My mom passed away today about 2:30, I was on my way there but didn’t quite make it. I spent some time with her. Almost 98, 95 of which were perpetual motion. Great life and great mom. Below is mom at 38, and at 90 still working every day in our shop, at her favorite place, behind a sewing machine.

Welcome to the GM thread, KCY. Yoopers are generally pretty hearty people, as I recall. Tough winters up there.

On the bright side, it was -35ｰF in International Falls this morning.

Yes it gets cold in the U.P. It was - 46 F degrees in Amasa this morning. I live close to Lake Superior so we don't get that bitter cold. Usually only goes down to about - 10 here in the banana belt.
