26 outside this AM. Looks frosty out. Heading to upper 40's.

Zero on the agenda today and this weekend. May hop on the tractor and move a burn pile.

wngsprd, good ID on Ron's bird. There was an article in the news about a pigeon that is on "death" row in Auz. Hitched a ride on a container ship. Consider invasive.

Hope all have a great weekend. Be safe and stay healthy my friends.

Good Morning
It’s 41 and very light rain here, got .4 inches overnight, supposed to clear up before noon with a high of 45.

I did spend some time cleaning up the shop yesterday as well as fitting in a few errands. Today looks like a repeat. Tomorrow is another trip to Stuart,FL.

The talk of cordless tools has inspired me to the point that today I might try to collect all of them and organize them in a central location. Believe it or not my first Makita 18v battery is still in service at almost 15 years old. It’s a 3AH and still has a useable capacity. I numbered my batteries in the order that they were acquired.

Good morning! 29 now, maybe 35 later. Got a little snow last night. Yesterday we got couple of inches of very wet snow. Then some rain on top of that.

Actually spent a little time in the garage yesterday afternoon. Think I may spend some time there today.

Last 3 days are probably the best I have felt since early November. Still can run out of energy if I try to do too much, but learning to pace myself.

Made a homemade pizza for dinner last night, including the crust. Turned out really good.

Everyone stay safe out there

Good morning! 29˚F, it was not suppose to freeze but here in the valley we are consistently getting temps 4-5˚ cooler than predicted. Mostly sunny heading to the 60s.

Drinking an exceedingly fresh ground cup of coffee after using my new toy this morning. It's almost silent as it grinds because it's not electric, so it does not wake up others. It turns really easy with the big heavy fly wheel.

I really did not think that there would be a lot of difference in coffee taste but 2 things changed my mind. (1.) A few months ago at my niece's shower I had some exceeding good coffee in Rosenberg at the 'OL Railroad restaurant and It tasted so different from my Folgers. (2.) I started noticing the coffee tasted bla toward the bottom of the container as the grinds became more oxidized.

That first whiff of coffee when you break the new seal of the ground coffee container does quickly diminish. I may becoming a coffee snob. Wngsprd is definitely helping with his good info. I'm still several steps away (1.) I need to learn how to roast green beans to perfection and (2.) I need to find the perfect green bean or green bean mixture - so many variables. After I run out of the roasted beans my wife bought at HEB I'll get some green beans to roast. I have seen several YouTubes on how to do it in a hot air popcorn popper. If fresh roasted makes a big difference the next step will be a coffee roaster. I have found out that two tablespoons of coffee beans fills the Keurig pod perfectly after they are ground.

Roy, vodka and dill pickles !!!??? looks like you are on the experimental road to becoming a cocktail connoisseur .:D

37° and sunny. Had .2” rain last night.
Surprised to read the snow reports from wngsprd and buppies, but pulled up radar and there it is.
My oldest brother had small part of intestine with cancer spot removed yesterday.

Up late last night dating and notating my pictures from last 6 months taken on cell phone, which is now my primary camera. I have a slew of old cameras, still have new film and film in cameras.
Got a bunch of corded tools also, including a big Bosch sds max hammer drill, smaller dewalt hammer drill, BD sawzal, sanders, circular, etc.
what I lack is a big press and brakes like you all discuss. Not sure what I would do with one. Could use press to straighten bent frame on RFM. Came close to buying a sheet metal brake once when doing the garage. I have made my own air return boxes, hammering out metal clamped between 2 boards. Don’t look great but it works.
Decided to not go to Ohio. Snow out that way. Probably not too bad though.

Poured first cup of coffee. 28° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 36° with partly cloudy skies. Dr appointment went well. Good for another 3 months. Grocery shopping is done for another week. Going to pick up my Aunt this morning and visit my other Aunt in Port Huron. Should be a good day for travel. Everyone will be social distancing and wearing mask.
Got my Economic Impact Payment check in the mail yesterday. Not sure why it's a check. All my refunds are direct deposited in a checking account. :confused3:
Michigan Covid cases 579,574. Deaths 14,550. Oakland county cases 66,986. Deaths 1,792. 9.3 million test have been given in state. State is 40 in number of shots given per 100,000 residents.
Have no idea what this bird is. About size of a robin.

LS, hope you get pre test and operation happens as scheduled.

RNG, now I understand why you spent all the money on solar. Electric and gas usage is back to normal for this time of year. My sinus have been acting up because humidity in house dropped below 30% while on wood stove. Now back to 50%.

Don, nice coffee grinder. I have one stuck on a shelf some place. Used it many years ago.

David, hope the Verizon antenna works out for you.

Drew, you can probably get a new iPhone for less money per month than what you are paying from Xfinity.

Roy, hope you the snow you want. Could use some here also.

Buckeye, Nice collection of tools. My collection of Bosch tools is now up to 12 if I include corded ones. Some are over 30 years old. I still have some older Dewalt tools. All corded. I did buy the Dewalt metal shear recently. It finds on my Bosch impact drill very well.

Great pictures posted of campfires and sunset. Makes me want to updated my 8 plus and X plus for better camera.

Everyone stay healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.
Wife and I keep two humidifiers going in the winter time due to our sinuses. One on the breakfast bar which is pretty centrally located for the kitchen/ dining/ living room areas.

And one in our bedroom. We have a heat pump and wood burning fire place insert.

We stay on the heat pump most of the time unless it's a cold snap where it will be below freezing for a few days. Anything above freezing and the darn insert will run you out of the house.

Still snowing pretty good...still way too early to consider plowing though.
More branches down and most are hanging pretty low due to the wet sticky snow build up. The power has been flickering several times in the last couple hours...won't be overly surprised to lose it completely some time.
Still in my pajamas (love flannel PJs in the winter!), but I guess I should at least think about getting dressed.
Boy, this is great snow for making snowballs! Wonder if my neighbor is up for a battle??

When our temperatures get down to about -40F you will find the downstairs AND the upstairs wood stoves burning.
Downstairs burns most of the winter, steady.
