67°F and no rain.

Switching gears today, work on internet remedy and upgrade. Next week I will be switching to Verizon signal via 4GAS to overcome AT&T throttling. That means a new antenna pointed about 90° more to west. That means running new coax. So a new wall penetration as well. Ladder work and roof - 2 of my favorites. My current Yagis could use some TLC so will remove, clean, reinstall in cross polarized hoping this will improve my Mobley backup. Will also run new Ethernet to support UniFi upgrade.

Also have to make a trip to town and dump.

Couple of NY strips been marinating with Yoshida for grilling later.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

This is getting scary, yesterday I took a picture at work of a spectrum analyzer, now an ad came up on FB for that same company. I had searched my pictures for drill and dewalt, because I couldn’t remember the voltage and I know I have pics of them. I think that triggered the last battery ad.

2 months old. It was even scarier than it appeared, the shop was in a hangar full of antique airplanes and projects.
Sure erased any thoughts that I had about knockoff batteries.

Makes me want to move my charging station out onto the driveway!

Well as far as cordless tools I have Milwaukee 18Volt, Harbor Freight Bauer 20volt, and my Hitachi drill it's the next to be replaced most likely by a Milwaukee.
Covid wise my county still doesn't have a lot but the numbers are climbing and the County has no sites listed for even signing up for it, some in neighboring counties.
I'm on the list thru the VA at this time, but no idea when it will be released and distributed.
My wife has had her first shot thru the hospital where she works.
Nice day for January today almost40F at noon, been puttering along done in my shop.
The old truck that carried my sander is not behaving well so I'm swapping the sander out to a trailer mount, it's been a bit of a project but proceeding.
Taking a break now for another cup of coffee. :drink:

This ne looks pretty nice:
DEWALT 2V MAX XR Brushless Impact Driver and Hammer Drill Combo Kit, Premium 4.Ah (DCK299M2) - - Amazon.com

I'd kinda like to get the impact wrench, but the Ryobi I got (on sale at Home Depot) is practically brand new...
Can't say I've ever had need for a hammer drill though...

I use my Dewalt hammer drill for concrete, for framing and tie downs and such.

My Dewalt stuff is old, but works great, I wore out the original reciprocating saw, broke in two. The replacement burned my fire three years ago so now I have a HF unit, works ok but not a Dewalt. I also have the circular saw and old analogue stereo radio that is also a charger. I use it to stream Pandora when I’m in the shop, or if I’m out back I’ll stick a battery in it and use it outside.

I bought a couple Dewalt tools and a Bosch drill when 14 volts was popular. The Bosch batteries are still good. While the Dewalt tools were good. The batteries never lasted. That’s why all my battery tools are now Bosch. Not sure how long my HF Lynnx stuff will last. But so far they are holding up.

I’ve replaced my Dewalt batteries once in 15 years and they’re still good. It’s strange how different experiences can be with similar products.

My Black and Decker string trimmer, leaf blower and drill/3/8 impact all use the same batteries.
I forgot, I also have a Craftsman drill, that makes four battery types. It came with Ellen and Gracie.

Everyone is welcome on TNT... lot's of great discussions; you should come back, the guys miss you. :)

I’m guessing you’ve finally run out of sane folks to insult?? There are zero “great discussions” on TNT. ZERO!

I forgot I bought an old electric lawnmower for Ellen to trim with last summer, it’s on old Greenworks with lead acid battery, I can’t find a replacement, but the old one still holds a great charge, so if it lasts this summer I’ll have my $25 worth.
