Good evening all. 27F for the start, clear, light wind. Few high clouds, moderate wind, and high temp was 62F. No fire this morning, Men's Meeting has now restarted. bike ride, then Dr appt to go over lab results, mostly in range, few at border. Time for colonoscopy, and should do sleep study soon. Nap finished the afternoon. Stepdaughter Covid test came back negative.
Covid update: Cooke, 2432 confirmed cases, 144 active cases, Montague, 1422 confirmed cases, 81 active cases, Grayson, 8258 confirmed cases, 589 active cases, local 25 active cases.

DF went through the might have Covid issue from wife's b-day party the other month. 5 days later I get call, + test for Covid. 2 weeks later no symptoms dodged a bullet.

So here痴 the Eastwood press brake and my modification.

As it came from Eastwood, it wouldn稚 sit flat and had to go between the plates on the press.

So I drilled the rods and tapped them and countersunk the holes to use flat head bolts. Now it sits flat.

Well this is proof that great minds think alike.
I have the same brake and thought the same thing, what were they thinking?
I did the same as you, I made new guide rods, drilled and tapped them, countersunk the holes in the base and used flat head bolts.
I went a little farther though, and had the local machine chop make me an die with 30?, 45?. 60? and 90? faces.
To make it easier to use, I put a bar on each side of the die to hold it in place, and I can just turn it to the side I want to use.
I also turned a piece of bar stock to fit in the press plate and the blade on the brake.
Works like a charm now, no more guessing on the angle when bending less than 90?.

Good morning, the temperature is 29ｰF and going up to 34. wind N 3 mph. Cloudy. Freezing drizzle advisory out.

Today is dump run day and 6 stops after that. Then clean up the driveway a bit. It isn't bad, but it could be better.

Roy, we got the same forecast for up here but no guesses on how much.

When people tell me that I don't know what I am talking about, I clam up and never say another word on the subject. When their statements come back to bite them in the butt I say nothing and walk away. I never tell them "I told you so", just walk away. They are so dam smart, they can figure it out for themselves.

good morning all.
26 going up to 48 today in warmer weather, then the cold returns

two jobs for today, one a short trip to local orchard to get more apples, and second I need to do that
painting that did not get done yesterday.

car came back clean and shiny, pleased with the job they did, particularly since they did detail for 50 bucks off normal price.
Still a little road tar left in a few spots but they got most of it.
