Good Morning!!!! 54F @ 7:15AM. Abundant sunshine. High 62F. Winds light and variable.
The wind woke me up in the wee hours this morning crashing and banging things around the back porch, but it seems to have died down now.
Still no sign of rain in the 10-day.

Sounds like the Thanksgiving tradition is alive and well here on the GM thread. And still lots to be thankful for (especially left overs).

Beautiful pie, Don. Proof positive that healthy eating can still be delicious!

:welcome: To the GM thread, Inane2!

Squeak's not so little anymore, RS:eek:

Glad you won the tug-o-war with the filter, Eric. I have fond memories touring England on an old Norton, especially of all the fine English ales in the small pubs where I'd find a room for the night. Wonder how many of those breweries are still in business? Another memory from that trip was a birthday steak dinner I could have soled a boot with. Over cooked just like my mother did, taught that way by a long line of English ancestry.

I know what you mean by the years flying by, Buppies! Faster every year. Hope you have good weather on your beach; mini-vacation?

Holidays are kind of awkward for a singleton like me, always being "adopted" by friends with large families. The fella who's blue BMW I ended up with didn't have any kids, but he made up for it with a large circle of friends, and they invited me to join in their TD festivities several years ago. I missed that this year, another CV19 cancellation, as it had evolved into a giant pot luck. All the old traditional favorites, but always a few you'd never heard of or tasted before. And the pies! A couple dozen, so many it was impossible to try them all. Here's hoping for a much more traditional celebration next year when we all have our vaccination.

Tried to set up a four way telecon on the iPhone, but just couldn't get the last party tied in. Then the connection dropped on my end after fifteen minutes, as if my time was up.:confused3: Ah, the joys of rural living. Still, it was good to find everyone in good health, and hear a few words instead of reading emails and text messages for a change.

Before that, I managed to let the magic smoke out of the new ignition system I'm trying to install on the white bike. Pretty sure I pulled another dyslexic move on the connector.:ashamed: And, it sounds like Kyle won the race to get his fixer Steiner started first! If that piston's too small, Kyle, I've got a place where you can get the cylinder plated and honed to get a good fit. I found several Milk Stouts at the adult beverage store last time. I don't know if there's actually milk in them, but they're all smooth and creamy, and most have a nice chocolate or coffee flavor, too.

TGIF gang! And it's a Black one!:drink:

66°F and .29 inches rain. Day off to a soggy start.

Would like to get mowing but would need to dry out first.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Glad everyone had a great day...would be cool if I could stop by and pick up leftovers from all of you today.

I am about to drop into the bathroom and leave yesterdays supper there. IF you want you can come and collect it if you really want to.:D

This morning, shortly after 8 a.m., I went driving around and didn't see any unusual number of vehicles at any of the 3 nearest Walmarts or anywhere else except Kohl's and Academy Sports. I guess they must have run some ads, and opened a bit early. But I just got back from grocery shopping at our nearest Walmart and it isn't even as busy as a normal Friday. No signs of Black Friday at all; no signs, no sales, no extra checkers. In fact, I use the self checkout and there was only one other person using such when I checked out.

However, I did notice that they now have a shortage of paper products and finally have signs requesting that you limit your purchase to one package, and they are all small packages. But there's no shortage of facial tissues.

Good afternoon! 65˚F all day and misting or light rain all day, a wet day, but still cannot get to the 10ths on the rain gauges still in the 100ths.
Day after Thanksgiving lunch is Cathy Fisher's "Straight UP Food" cookbook page 129, corn chowder, made in the Instant Pot (12min).

Wngsprd, have you ever used your coffee grinder to make coarse ground cornmeal using field corn? We have not been able to get coarse ground locally since March. I was looking at this one for coffee and corn. Italian Hand Crank "Burr-Style" Coffee Grinder

Happy Thanksgiving TBN’ers!

55 and overcast. Currently in-between meals. Starlings have shown up in full force today, helping themselves to all of the available suet and other feed. These guys are clever, they can hear a hammer cock all the way up on the porch.

Stay healthy and safe everyone.

Welcome to GM and TBN.
Birds have a way of knowing.
