good morning all
slept well and long last night, good thing, have a busy day today

gosh, where to start...
Kyle, great news on the Steiner. Was fun to watch video and hear it start.
Mostly, 81 degrees, sounds marvelous...
Bill, now I know what sex lights are

I think "spitting" rain is a New England thing. We also used to call it "drizzle".
Wonder whether we got spitting term from England.
It was a real education for me moving to the South and seeing folks spit for real.
Mean no insult at all to anyone, but it's pretty gross and causes gum cancer.
But empty cans of Red Man everywhere, picked them out of NC roadside constantly.

Chilly 34 out now, going up to 60 in clouds, then rain tonight.
Temps really drop, two nights in 20's predicted

going out around 7am to start propane heater in garage, helper due over at 9am and we have lots to build.

Good morning all

22 now high around 50 and sunny today.

Most all of the important outside pre-winter stuff is done.
When I serviced the walk behind snow blower a couple of weeks ago I noticed the belts could stand to be replaced.
Stopped by the local Ariens dealer and picked up a new set and will install this week.

Phil - I noticed the same phenomena with the paper goods on this past weeks grocery order. Not really sure of the mindset on this.
Living north of the border does have some advantages but they are disappearing with the rapid growth going on. I moved here almost 40 years ago and where I live has expanded from less than 1500 to a projected 7000 with the 2020 census. Unfortunately many who move here are only looking at the fact that housing is still a relative bargain. It’s funny to hear the new folks complain when they find out there’s no trash pickup and when the power goes out they have no water.
I’ll get off my soapbox now.
Come on up tractors, firearms and love of freedom are always welcome.

prayers for all and our country
Enjoy your day everyone

Frist cup of coffee has been poured. 41° with thunderstorms this morning. Heading to 51° in AM. Then high winds to drop temperatures back into 40's in afternoon. .61" so far. Dr appointment went OK. He told me to take it easy until next appointment on Tuesday. I took that to mean conserve energy for 3 days. I am all for it.
Bright colors.

Brid, you did more than me.

Roy and Don, sorry for neighbor's loss.

LS, project looks even better now that is in place.

Kyle, good to see the Steiner running.

RS, latest Menard Ad says 11% ends 11/25. Good pictures.

Drew, your post reminds me to turn on heat in my shop.

Mostly, I have never blown the line out between house and barn before. But it always seems to have water in it even in it has been shut off at house for months So going to try blowing it out this year.

Phil, my trip shopping Friday did not see any shortage of anything in my area. I had renewed my essential stock about a month ago. Still no wipes though. I use spray disinfectant with paper towels. Good to hear your getting pavers laid.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

Woke up early about 2 hours ago. Been studying operators manual on Steiner. Seems yesterday was the best day to work on it outside.....Cold front just blew through, no rain, but some fairly high wind gusts. Temps dropping from highs yesterday near 90F, to 60's now, headed down to 40's tonight. Waiting for wifey to wake and make coffee.

I get to assist with communion at church today. It means a lot to me, to be a part of it.

Ron, take it easy sounds like a good prescription to me.

I have a close friend who can't sit still. He's always got to be doing something. Rarely watches TV or movies. I tell him "The grass surely doesn't grow under your feet." His wife is OOT for 6 weeks, helping with newborn twins. So, I keep teasing my buddy, he's going to run out of things to do. He had the house cleared out, had new flooring installed, and upgraded bathroom countertops and mirrors. New baseboards, painted and caulked. His wife picked out the flooring. But that project is almost wrapped up, so I need to start teasing him again....."What's next?"

I wish I had some of his motivation. He's 63, and has primarily a desk job at work, so that must be how he stores up physical energy.

Prayers for our team, and our country, also for cures and healing for those in need.

Still waiting for coffee.....I guess I'll go make a pot as quietly as can be. Good thing the beans are already ground.

Hope Coco is getting better.

I was probably like your friend when I was 63. 15 years later I have slowed down a little.

Spitting rain/snow term is common here, Southeastern VA, and in NC. Don’t remember hearing it in CA. We also say drizzle. And in Alabama, NC
and parts of VA, very fine icy snow is called hominy snow.

Kyle, great news on the Steiner.

36 early, headed to 69 with rain and wind later, then sliding down to 45/26 by Wednesday.
Got the hoses all disconnected and stored. I forgot to do the front one a few years ago and it cost me a frost proof faucet.

Breakfast, feed outdoor kitties then church service. Not sure about later.

Discovered I’ve had my Massey one year today. Only got about 90 hours on it. Maybe I’ll take an anniversary ride on it later. LOL

Have a good day, and God bless.

Good morning. It’s 37 here and sunny, but supposed to be raining hard by afternoon when The front comes through.

Drew, is your weather station on weather underground?

Still no progress on the son’s barometer project, maybe today when the the weather goes downhill. I ended up splitting wood with him yesterday, he had a couple substantial trees come down in the last storm, ironically just missing both his overhead wires and his generator.

I had the Surestart on the heat pump in my shop fail, the supplier sent me a replacement, no questions asked which was refreshing. Yesterday I installed the new one and tested it on generator power, it starts without any sag from the generator, which is great.

Ran the little wonder blower down the lane and back before lending It to a friend, looks like 98 percent of the leaves are off the trees, today’s cold front should raise that to 100.

I’m running out of excuses, so I guess I’ll have to get back to cleaning up today, unless my son stops by with the barometer.
