... RS, sounds like you will have beautiful gardens when you are done ...

Hope so ... biggest thing will be keeping the weeds at bay until the areas can fill in and naturalize.

Will probably be spreading a lot of wood chips in the coming days ...

Enjoy your RV washing project ...

Good Morning!!!! 72F @ 5:30AM. Sunny. Areas of smoke and haze are possible, reducing visibility at times. High 98F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph.
Another bad air day yesterday, hitting upwards of 350 on the EPA 2.5PM AQI. Got the drone up toward sundown, and air was so thick lost radio reception at 330' elevation. I think that same bad air is interfering with the satellite internet, since pages are loading slowly and various devices are complaining about connectivity.

That's quite the dream, Kyle. Surprised you can remember so much detail.

Got the top'n'tilt valve taken off the M62, and now have 9 hoses dangling off the back. Can't start the tractor without spewing hydraulic fluid all over, and need to head into town to pick up a "T" to replace the valve housing. Should get the valve packaged up today and get it on its way to Oregon tomorrow.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend!

Good morning! 78˚F heading to 100˚F clear skies.

My hose roller succumbed to the heat and buckled. I have an all metal one on order.

Drew, washing the RV was a never ending job. Always left me with a sore neck

Ron, because this is a pretty small rv it's not as tall as my last two, less stretching.
Got it done just as the sun was coming up to avoid water spotting.
Good exercise and I'm pretty sweaty...

Don, there is a lesson to that melted hose roller, take it easy out there...

:

Let me know if that works, my wife weeds our natural area multiple times a year.

65 and a great feeling to be outside. Only rising to 84...Laura cleared the air and left one day of nice weather. We only got .04 inch of rain from Laura, and only a short period of wind.

Ted, I rented a ditch-witch type trencher for one day from Home Depot for one of my French drains where I knew I'd be hitting a lot of small rock mixed with hard clay...did a good job of breaking through and was worth the 50 mile roundtrip to get it and the bux...plus I got to experience using one. I still had a lot of shovel work to clean it up and get a little deeper.

BEF, glad you got some rain.

RS, my wife planted mums yesterday.

Vultures sitting on every fence post this morning at the corner of the frisbee field, and a few walking around, waiting for their turn on the deer carcass. They ignored us as we walked through the far corner from them.

Saw a lot of different kinds of mushrooms on my hike yesterday due to the repeated rains we've had. I thought this big mushroom was worth a quick pic, and put a blueberry on top for size reference. It was as bib around as a medium plate.

Ron, Betty was a beautiful and gracious woman.
The pleasure is ours, having a friend like you online here with us. Will give the family an extra hug today.

Eric, I would for sure stop by, with a jar of jam. My

My wife told me it sounded delicious.

My daughter got invited to play again at church today. :)

RS, glad your sting is better.

Good morning. It was 77° and foggy this morning. We’re under another “heat advisory” today and our high is forecast to be 437° (feels like .. 521°).

Not much rain in near term forecast but .. maybe next weekend. The Weather Channel forecasts 10% .. everyday so we don’t just cry ourselves to sleep

We’ve had 1-2 grass fires daily in our county so all the VFD’s are staying busy. We had to take care of several ditch fires over about a mile of our main road last week. We kept finding trailer brake parts all along the road every place the grass was on fire. We never did find the offending trailer though.

Today’s plan is to install the blade adapter parts, on my second Echo gas trimmer, for the Forrester blade I bought.

All this;

After that .. back to opening up my 7’ rear finish mower to get belts changed. My local auto parts guy can get a pair of belts by Tuesday morning if I let him know Monday morning. They’re simple B section v-belts with 84” ID and 87” OD. His price is $19.50 each or I can order from OEM, wait for a week or so, and pay $50 each. Hard decision?? The blades are still fairly sharp but .. I’ll give them a touch up anyway with one of these flap discs. I feel I get better control than using a regular grinder wheel when sharpening blades.

4-1/2 in. 6 Grit Aluminum Oxide Type 27 Flap Disc

Hope everyone has a peaceful Sunday.

Prayers for all.

Good morning to all! A cold front moved across the area last night, cooler weather for the next few days.... by cooler, in the high 80's. Chances of a shower today.

My, my, my, you guys have been busy.... I'm gonna havta up my game....

Ron, we remember, we forget, but our hearts always maintain our loved ones....Betty is still with you. Take care.

For those that mentioned about having enough blue paint... yep, I sure do....for at least the welding cart. I bought a whole case a about a year ago. When I get the land plane built, I surely won't have enough for that....

Kyle, that's fantastic that your daughter is going to play at church again! I bet papa will be standing tall and proud. Good for her!

Wng, I just cannot bring myself to spend the couple hours to pick up a machine, use it for the ten minutes it would take, then the return trip.... it would make it easier for sure, but....
a favorite song comes to mind---- "Everything we've got... we've got the hard way" --- by Mary Chapin Carpenter.

RS, sounds like your getting the landscaping project close to wraps... you have transplanted a lot of hostas!

Not sure what I will get into today.... there is a bunch of possibilities.....

Everyone have a great day!

Went to church, going to have some leftover meatloaf sandwiches for lunch, best meatloaf I ever made.

Got to 63 last night, 78 now. We got 1.87” of rain total, 1.86” from a 3 AM thunderstorm and .01 from Laura.

We are going to put up the new flag, maybe go mum shopping, a lot of my summer flowers have run their course.
I have to mow but that’s likely to be tomorrow. Grass isn’t super tall after 6 days, but it’s really thick.

Ron, my thoughts are with you today, I fully understand.

Have a good day and God bless.
