Good morning! 75 now, near 90 later. Another warm one today

Yesterday, it was time to do something I haven稚 done for a while. Get on the bike, fill the tank, and just ride. No destination, no plan (other than find my way home), no route, no maps, and no GPS. See a road I likely haven稚 been on and just take it. My goal was a lot of gravel and enjoy the ride.

And I did.Rode some gravel roads that went for miles with no houses, saw a few to try the next time, road a portion of Ohio 258 which has a section that reminds me of portions of the Mountain Course on the Isle of Man. Took a break on the edge of a wildlife area, had lunch, and eventually found my way home.

Some pics

Not sure what today will bring.

Everyone stay safe out there.

Love the s bridges. Which one was that?

RNG, setup on Iphone super easy. Turn on wifi hotspot on phone, pc picks it up as an available source, type in long password, and it simply doesn't work, says
cannot connect to source. All the digits are lower case and was careful to be sure of zeroes and O's...did it three times without any luck.
I think I may take my laptop and Mifi into Verizon office and say "show me".
When you've had high speed and you go back to a crawl, very disappointing.
Out of boredom even turned on the rv's tv last night and watched PBS news

RNG, you really need to flush that system. That grit will beat the heck out of your pump seals.
Most firetruck pumps are pressure pumps, not trash or semi-trash.

that's a big nasty snake Lou.
Ron, nice pic of venison on the hoof
Rich, great pics, looks like a fun road to drive

Try removing and re add the mifi
On pc win10
Right click your network icon in bottom right
Select open network and internet settings
Select WiFi on left
Select manage known networks
Left click on your mifi network
Click forget

Now reregister the mifi on your computer.

Drew, I hope you can get help with the internet problems.... have you considered the mobile satellite type for the RV?

I had a Wineguard satellite dome on my first rv, and had nothing but problems with it. Never seemed to autolocate properly.
I'm still hopeful to take this rv South this winter but only if health continues to improve. Until then it will sit in driveway and not get used much, though
if I lose power at house, I can always go sleep in the rv and run the gen...

There are few folks here with satellite dishes, but they appear to be permanent residents.
At 375 a month plus electric, can afford to leave rv here also, while it freezes here in winter, much milder than PA and no snow load.
I still want to snowbird, but not this winter. If I'm healthy next winter, hope to do that and might then get a satellite dish installed. Some come in a suitcase and you
just set it outside, obviously aimed in the right direction.

Interesting that Verizon not only throttles the speed, but reduces resolution to the lowest possible level, which makes sense so it times out less. On text like this, no problem. But my Youtube viewing is a mess. Some give me that lovely round and round pictogram, some stream ok, but awful resolution. I am so spoiled by prior
85 down, 25up from Suddenlink cable.

Dumped the sanitation tanks after taking a shower, being careful not to get chest bandages wet. Wrote email to water dept who sent me a bill for next month...to my forwarded address. I called them two days before settlement, shut off my water account and gave forwarding address. Well they got one out of two right... That was a bill I never minded paying, about 35 bucks a month with great water pressure. Speaking of water pressure, I took off the inline pressure regulator I had installed on rv, cut down the pressure too much and was not adjustable. Didn't know if it was the water filter or the regulator being the problem, pressure is back to normal with water filter left inline.

Thunderstorms due in later this afternoon, awning is out so keeping an eye on weather. I'm hearing normal groaning noises from rv which tells me wind is in the 5-8mph range from the direction that seems to play a tune on rubber slide gaskets. Lastly my noisy neighbor left yesterday after making a bunch of noise, again, constant dog barking, the night before. Won't miss that...

Same as the number of tractors: At least one less than I want!

Haha! Hope the old beemer pans out. I always guessed that they were bullet proof dependable...

Thanks Rich for sharing your ride. I miss riding.

Hoping everyone has a great day and blessed day.

I didn't buy this one to keep, Kyle. I've already got two from the same year, same model. It was just too good a deal to pass up, and the seller said his phone was ringing off the hook. Wonder why? He was so far from any major metro area, though, he figured that my cash in hand was much better than some internet payment scheme and having to fool with shipping it.

But after forty years, there are certain things, like that heat sink paste that stranded my friend, that are best dealt with preemptively. But I have enough irons in the fire that I just don't have any time to devote to this bike, and it runs well just as it is. I'll degrease it, drain the fuel, put it on a charger, and put it up for sale. Might wait for next spring to sell it, though, as prices are starting to drop, it being the end of the riding season for most of the country.

Backyard Weather station just hit a new high, 103 and feels like 103 with 29% humidity. Time to head to the pool to experience the wet bulb temp of 76.

Edit: it got to 106 while swimming but now the temp is going down, it’s 104.
Hottest day of the year so far. . .
