I was referring to the damage by skidding tires not scalping.:)

I have not had that issue yet... Forewarned now.
Thanks,
David

Good Morning!!!! 75F @ 5:1AM. Abundant sunshine. High 104F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

What you up to with all that drywall, David? Makes my arms sore just lookin' at it! Glad you didn't get stuck, or worse!

Maybe that new ZT'll keep you busy and out of trouble for a while, MFW?:D

Lots of gray on that deer's muzzle, Ron. Lots of time on her to get used to people?

That's a LOT of rain, Billy. Anything flooding?

Don't forget your umbrella, Eric. How long will it take them to make your new lenses?

15 Gigs isn't a lot of you're watching videos, Drew. Even "unlimited" plans these days will throttle the speed at some data cap, and some of them are pretty low. It's all in the fine print, unfortunately.

Nice garden, Thomas!

Had kind of a putter day myself yesterday. Found that the parts van has a charcoal canister, still need to figure out if it's the same one used on the blue van. Changed some more devices over to the new network, then made a change that threw some of them back off. One step forward...

Saw a new ad for an '81 R80 G/S BMW motorcycle on the club's classified ads yesterday. I already have two of 'em, but the price was right so I'm headed three hours north to pick it up this morning. Not what I thought I'd be doing this week, but you've got to remain flexible, right?

Also got the old safe cleaned out and dusted off, and the neighbor will let me know when he's ready to make the move. I think the tractor will do most of the heavy lifting this time around.

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

RNG, enjoy that ride to get the bike. Yes, field and creek flooding...haven't been on the road, so not sure, but expect some ditches overflowed...Flood Watch in effect until midnight due to more rain.

Don, I still skid up the grass at times, when the ground is wet and soft, after 2 years.

Thomas, looks like some nice cucumbers with those tomatoes.

Good morning all 73 going up to 82 and rain-
We got 2" in under 30 minutes-that's twice in one week-growing up this would have happened maybe once in a decade.
Neighbor down the road had his pond overflow, through his side yard and into the road. that has to be a 50 foot or more puddle
MY swale is holding up well, so no flooding into the pool, but now the pool is filled to the top of the skimmers, usually I am adding water this time of year, not removing it.

Dog gate is built and in place, when I have time I will stain it.
Wife had a tire blow out when she pulled over to let someone by on one of the local roads which still have trees blocking. Branch must've scraped sidewall and ripped it, $250 for the tire (run flat)!

MFW- nice mower- good luck and may it server you well for a long time
RNG - another bike- will wait for pictures-I rewired my Dad's Triumph many years ago and spent most of my childhood around bikes-but always deemed myself a little too crazy to own one :)

Saw older fox yesterday, here that one and the young one screaming to each other at night. The fox was hiding in the brush, we saw a squirrel come down a tree and then full out fox speed, squirrel got away, but I noticed we have no rabbits, down from 6 or so, and very few squirrels. Fox's are definitely having a field day around here.

Stay safe and be well.

71F and sunny @ 09:30, headed up to a high of 90F for the day.

Got fish fed, wood/compost lot mowing done, some work on auger rack, and repair shop replaced both front wheel bearings on The Woman's car yesterday, and car picked up after hours.

On schedule for today:

Pick up gauge wheels for MMM and get those put on and then finish mowing down around house.

Finish auger rack (will post pics if so)

Refill nugget feeder and others for birds.

Rebait live trap.

Maybe take down oak tree.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ...

72°F and foggy this morning, going up to 82° today. Expecting more storms this afternoon.

Yesterday's storms popped up and hung around the STL area for a little while, dumping a lot of rain in some areas. Creeks and streams were overflowing and flooding roads all over.

I encountered something yesterday on the way home from work that I haven't seen in a long time; a traffic jam. Someone decided to close one of the eastbound lanes on the Musial Bridge going into Illinois, and keep it closed through "rush" hour. Traffic was backed up on I-70 for about three miles. I haven't missed traffic jams.

It seems that drywall vs sheetrock is maybe a regional thing, at least in the US. Most people around the Midwest call it drywall, while it seems Southerners prefer sheetrock. I've heard it called gypsum board, plaster board, and wall board as well, but not as often. I believe Sheetrock is actually a popular brand that became a generic term, like Coke or Velcro.

Congrats on the new mower, DavidMFW. Been browsing around trying to find a used 60" zeroturn for use in our pasture. Most I find don't look like they're worth the $3-4K asking prices. I could buy new for that. Going to look at the local Gravely dealer this weekend.

Temp is down to 73, another thunderstorm, 1.04” in the last hour. Still raining.
I’m not sure when I’m going to get to mow.

We’ve been trapping cats since yesterday, we have 9 in traps with covers to keep them out of the rain, only one adult and two kittens to go. They will spay and neuter them up in PA and bring back the ones we want to keep. One male wasn’t here all the time, but he got in a trap so he’s getting fixed too.
We are letting them keep the kittens for adoption, they are easy to find homes for, unlike the older kitties.
I don’t mind 5-6 as long as they aren’t becoming 25.

69°F and .12 inches rain

Primary focus today is get the Lowe’s delivery unbundled and placed in usable stacks, the drywall protected to stay dry.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

To replace the wrong China seal that came with the China carb it cost $40. $2 for the seal the rest labor.

The China seal was missing an air hole and the Stihl weedeater would not start.

I took my chainsaw to ace and tried their chain sharpener before I bought it. The Stihl, made in Germany sharpener worked, and was only double the price of the one made in China.
