Good morning, 70 now, supposed to get to 87 later. Touched 90 yesterday, was working on interior of the cargo trailer...was warm! Even the birds largely stayed in the shade and didn’t hang around much.

Burning some vacation days this week. Hope to make progress on the trailer. Need to do some string trimming too. And going to make time for a motorcycle ride.

Everyone stay safe out there

Good morning! 7:55 A. M. 1 hour after sunrise - 80˚F, feels like 80 heading to 99˚F with clear skies 86% humidity and Wet Bulb Temp of 76˚F.

I have done everything I can think of to get my Stihl weed eater going again. It was running ok but leaking gas so I replaced the gas tank, all fuel filters, carburetor, spark plug. It did run for 30 seconds after I poured sea foam into the carburetor so I think there is some adjustment that the new carburetor needs. I think Ace hardware works on them around here. Oh I did fix the fuel leak.

Good morning 74 going up to 91 and cloudy
Spent yesterday wandering around doing cleanup, leaf blowing, pick up stix etc. when I looked at phone, had walked over 6 miles total in super hot humid weather. was a bit tired.
Today finish cleanup around pool if it does not rain too hard.
bought new cable modem, will arrive tomorrow, Comcast raised monthly rental to $14/month! so I'm done with that.

TXDon-Plenty of youtubes on how to scratch adjust the carb. Did you check the plug first to make sure it's not fouled?
Franken-things certainly changed with domesticated animals and farming- but people also started living longer
Ron, another great pic, my dog loves chasing frogs but gets upset when they puff up and stop moving.

Stay safe and be well.

Watched the tubes, did various adjustments on the carb, new plug, still no go. Since it started briefly with the sea foam I know the on off switch is working.

I have never had much luck with strong doses of sea foam, it seems to wet foul the plugs and they can look clean but not spark across the gap.

Good Morning!!!! 69F @ 6:30AM. Sunny. High near 95F. Winds S at 10 to 20 mph.

Sorry about your friend, Paul. Good that they caught the killer, but that won't help the family much.

Probably still have an air bubble somewhere in the fuel system, Don. Maybe try leaving the saw in the sun with a full tank, and the expanding fuel may clear it for you?

Judging by the comments over the past few days, you might say you folks are full of beans!

Had to take the garbage can up to the gate first thing yesterday, but forgot to leave the gate open. UPS left a note on the mailbox that the hoses wouldn't fit in the delivery box, so they'll be back today.

Got the new cable ran up into the attic, and the access point installed. I bought a piece of software that displays WiFi signal strength, and there's better coverage from that one access point than from the two it replaces. Gonna get another one placed out at the pump house this morning to improve the outside signal, too.

Finally got the gravel spread and rolled with the tractor tires, and moved the firetruck down where it belongs. Neighbor came over with a cap off a hydraulic cylinder he needs machined, mentioned his little vibratory roller would go up and down the slope easily, and he'd be happy to roll it for me if I can get it wet enough first. Done deal. He also said he wants my old gun safe, so hopefully we'll get that out of here today, too. He said that when evacuating from the Camp Fire, he got so flustered trying to dial the combo on his old safe, he had to get his cousin to do it for him. He'll have no problem with the push button lock on my old one. Just have to dig up the paperwork so he can change it to something he'll remember.

Seafoam makes an aerosol version that I have used several times with good success on carbureted engines. If you can get to the intake fuel line spray a pretty good dose in then turn the engine over a few times to get it circulated in the carb. then leave it alone for 45 min. or an hour. When it starts it will spit, sputter, and smoke for a bit then settle down and run. In severe cases you might have to do this a couple of times. Deep Creep is the name of this product.

Good morning to all! Temp is already up to 82 at 8am. Humidity is low at 50%, unlike Rick's 100%.... that is muggy for sure! We may have a slight chance of a t-storm now, a front coming across from the east, but it might not make it to us.... we could really use the rain!

RS, that Menards trip sounds like a typical trip at our local lumber yard. Usually much better service associated with the HD or Lowes, so that is not sayin much about them. I usually will only go there as a last resort or if it is for a simple $5 item. Hopefully you'll be able get your order filled.

The grandsons first day " online school" was interesting.... lots of technical difficulties, lots of difficulties getting a bunch of 7 y/o to use a computer for "Go to Meeting". Half would mute their mics when told, others would just keep talking over everyone else, making it very difficult. I really felt sorry for the teacher trying to get them all on "the same page"....

Needless to say, I became "technical advisor" for the home side.... so, didn't get out to the shop. I was able to sneak out around lunch to go run errands.... school is starting again now... time for me to go get into something.

Everyone have a great day!

Only people in North Carolina . . . . we don't think people from South Carolina are from the South. Oklahoma is pushing it. We are not talking confederate lines we are taking about states that one border is the Gulf of Mexico.

That’s your definition, educated folks know better.
By the way Oklahoma doesn’t border the gulf, and who is this “we” you speak of?

68°F and foggy this morning, going up to 85° today. Chance for more storms later in the afternoon.

Yesterday evenings storms were quite energetic around here. Lots of lightning, thunder, wind, and sideways rain. A fair amount of storm damage and power outages around the area as well, according to the radio this morning. Was still too foggy and dark when I left for work to tell if we had any tree damage. Guess I'll find out when I get home tonight.

I can't say I've ever had any problems with our local Menard's. I don't find as much variety of hardware there as I do at Lowe's, but they are head-and-shoulders above anyone else around here for lumber.

Don, you must be a lifelong Texan. What you are describing is often thought of as the Deep South...
For us Northerners, the South is pretty much Virginia and down.

60 percent chance of thunderstorms just turned into a flood warning, lightning, thunder, and up to 2.5 inches of rain predicted.
You just never know here...

Paul, sorry for loss of your friend. Sad. I can honestly say I've never known anyone who has been murdered, hope not to...

The Deep South doesn’t include Texas though.

You probably know that Sea Foam is not very combustible compared to fuel, so too much will stall an engine, I’d spray some carb cleaner in it for giggles.

80F and partly cloudy @ 12:00, WU calling for a high of 87F for the day ... WB says 85F.

No derecho action here ... thankfully it petered out before it got here ...

First order of business for the day is to retrieve the recycle can from up at the road. After that will be to grease pto shaft on MMM and then remove loader and install MMM so The Woman (?) can start mowing.

Then I'll start on something or another ... no shortage of possibilities.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day.

I don't know how the rest of you cope with the heat, but I've hated hot weather all my life. And as I'm getting older . . . well, it gets worse. 82 degrees this morning, going for a high of 99 and clear skies. Now I've reached an age, or stage of life, that I don't get around too well when I first get up in the morning. So after the first cup of coffee, I have a set of exercises that I go through every morning for about 30 minutes. For some reason, I just didn't feel like doing those exercises this morning, but I forced myself and did them all. Then I decided I'd at least clean the dust off the patio/deck before it got too hot. When I finished that, I decided I'd do the string trimming on the yard and be ready to mow in the morning. So I used the string trimmer in front and back yards, then got the blower to clear off the driveway and walk. When I finished that, I put the batteries from both string trimmer and leaf blower on the chargers. But then I noticed we had a light southerly breeze and no dew on the grass so I decided I might as well get the mowing done, and I did.

So I started off intending to do nothing today, but got more done that I ever expected.

I can appreciate that feeling about the heat, then start adding humidity to it and it really gets to me,
my nephew called yesterday to see if I would rake hay it was going to be in the upper 80's with high humidity,
told him I could but that I'd have to bring my tractor over with the cab and AC they had to unhook the 4020 Deere from the double rake setup for me to use the Branson on it.
8 hours later I was still in good shape would not have been on the open station.

Sure does sound like you're talking about me. My wife & I have been living in this same house 15 years now; the longest I've ever lived in one place. In 12 years of school, I changed schools 11 times, went to 3 schools twice (moved away, moved back). College wasn't quite as bad. Used to work rotating shifts, so finding classes that fit my work schedule was a bit difficult, so I got college credits from at least 7 colleges before getting my bachelor's degree.

And look how great you came out 🤙🤙🤙🤙
