Sorry about the cat Randy. Never easy.

Worked late today, behind from yesterday.

One of my coworkers is leaving. They keep giving him too much work and not enough time to do it. They’ve been hiring more people, business is good.

I told him I could of helped on some of it when I wasn’t busy awhile back, but the boss never mentioned it. I’m super busy now.

My bank account is at $0 today thanks to a glitch in BOA system. All accounts show $0. This should be interesting on how the figure how much money everyone had.

that made national news today, at least you weren't alone. Hopefully not a foreign hacker stealing BOA's money...
"glitch" can mean lots of things...
some IT manager is likely in a lot of hot water

I am not concerned, yet. Just don't understand how it happens. Thankfully I have other accounts at other banks so we are still operating.

Good evening all. 69F for the start, overcast, rain in area, light wind. Moderate wind in morning, light wind afternoon, cloud broke up late afternoon, no rain, high temp 85F. Dewpoint started at 59F and is at 71F currently. Slight chance rain tonight, then dewpoint will drop some :). Men's meeting to start then bike ride nape after lunch then program fish finder with bush pile GPS points. Hope to try them out in morning.
Covid update: Cooke 206 confirmed cases, 0 active cases, Montague 61 confirmed cases, 4 active cases, Grayson 1051 confirmed cases, 61 active cases.
Roy glad storm a non event for you.
Drew, glad you came through storm ok, Hope the day's medical activities goes well.
Ron nice you can spend some time with your aunt. This issue with propane supplier at work was they did not supply pure propane, but a liquid that had correct BTU content but hydrocarbons that would not flow though carburetor as vapor. The deposits created issues. nice moon shot
Randy sorry about Ellen's cat
Chris, man that would be something to be able to sell ground hogs, squirrels, and poison ivy
RS another active day
David(moss) thanks for checking in.
RNG that is an extensive list of fires
Drew good to hear your medical stuff went so well. Thought you might have stocked RV better than Dinty Moore :)
K5lwq sorry about the rain hope th bank gets it act together soon
Dennis hope the shoulder is getting better.
Drew, natural gas is primarily methane with other hydrocarbon gas. Propane is another hydrocarbon. They differ in BTU/cubic foot, and the pressure at which they become liquid and room temp. Methane requires higher pressure to liquefy at room temp.
prayers for all especially for Drew/brother, Jay/Peg, Kyle's daughter, Mike, and Country
stay safe and healthy you all.

57 right now...high in the mid-70's today.

I worked from home yesterday...and, on and off, cleaned up the downed branches, including a larger branch that came down on the backyard fence. That was some chain saw work and I put it on the chipping pile. Fortunately, little damage to the fence. It looked a lot worse at 0100 when I had let the dog out to pee...

73 going to 84, forecast for heavy rain, but not seeing any on the way on radar, so guess t-storms will develop.

Sorry about Ellen's cat, Randy. Pets are special.

Mostly, hope you find that brush pile and catch a big one.

My mom never got her stimulus check, so I'll be working on getting that replaced today.

Grass needs mowing, but not sure it will dry before going to the dentist this afternoon. Maybe afterwards if not raining. Speaking of LP, I need to refill a couple of tanks...haven't been inside TSC since Feb or March. Probably pick up a new Kong frisbee for Coco. Also have a leak on the toilet tank...need new bolts and gasket. May have to go to Ace Hardware.

good morning all.
76 going to 89 today, cooler due to clouds and intermittent rain/storms.
having breakfast and coffee and then start to stow/organize rv so I can take it out at 8am to get diesel and propane.

got wonderful news from my next older brother, his test came back negative for Covid, which I had hoped for since his fever had gone away so quickly.
What a lot of stress off his shoulders, and his family. I'm sure this experience will make him even more careful, which he was.
Time to take my reduced number of pills and then get moving. Very similar process in rv to taking boat out into ocean, anything that can crash around and break
has to be carefully cushioned, particularly my pc equipment. Plus I'll drive very sedately, low g force maneuvers, slow turns, slow stops.

feeling pretty good this morning, little fuzziness and headache but not bad.

yes, no more Dinty Moore, it was disaster food and not worth it. Fatty and salty too.
I wonder what comes in a can that is healthy? My almost vegan sister grilled me on what I was eating yesterday,
and I appeased her by describing my veggies, yogurt, fruit and granola. I even fessed up to a frozen breakfast sandwich with turkey sausage
in it. Most anything in a box I put back on the shelf because it has too much salt in it. Limited fridge/freezer room cuts down on some choices.

Good morning all. Not quite death threats, but I didn't want to risk the "or else" looks the sheep were giving me yesterday, so I opened the gate. It was a near stampede when I let them into another field today.

Or else.JPG Stampede.JPG

Ken, you have the right attitude to scary trees, keep taking extra care while clearing up the damage.

Here is a thought for those that like to ponder over things that don't matter - the earths gravity gets weaker every day, so trees don't crash down with quite the same force as when we were younger. That is because 50,000 tons of hydrogen and a smaller amount of other gasses are being leaked out into space every year, as well as the occasional mars probe. After taking into account the amount of space dust that is pulled in, they reckon the net loss is only 0.000000000000001% every year - it will be a while before a hard hat is enough when dealing with wayward scary trees

55F clear 80 for high lot less humidity for today.

Outside chores done E muffin time. :licking:
Long day yesterday raking cleaning up branches/limbs from the storm.
Plans for today... not really sure yet but I'll get into something.

Enjoy the day all.

73 to 82 today, ended up with 1.31” of rain from a pop up complex. That’s almost 3” in two days and the grass shows it. I mowed Monday and it needs mowing now.
Got my flag back up and deck furniture and grill untied and partially put in place.
We sat under our new awning and watched it rain until the lightening got too close.
You can tell it’s August on the Eastern Shore, everything is green and filled out, soybeans across the road are waist high and the blackbirds are starting form small flocks.
Good day and God bless.

Good morning. It's 74° here with dew point of 74° also so .. we may see some fog early. The Weather Channel says we'll see 96° this afternoon. Houston TV Weather is predicting 98°. Regardless of who is correct .. I'll likely not need a jacket this afternoon.

I had my annual visit with heart doc yesterday morning. All good and he decided the normal treadmill EKG was not needed this year. I wasn't looking forward to doing the treadmill with a restrictive mask on.

I need to finish cutting up one tree, snapped off by our Sunday storms, and pick up a couple more big limbs, with the tractor and that pasture is cleaned up .. leaving only one to go.

Three new burn piles added to the four we already had.

Just saw, on local Houston news, that several line crews / trucks, from Centerpoint Energy, are leaving for the East Coast to help get power restored to 3M + without power now. They did the same after Hurricane Sandy in October 2012.

Hope everyone has a great "Friday Eve".

Prayers to all.

Good Morning!!!! 60F @ 4:15AM. Plentiful sunshine. High 91F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

They say the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, Eric, but the old pasture looks incredibly lush to these drought parched eyes of mine. The new field must have been really somethin' to move those sheep like that! And you better shut up about the gravity and hydrogen shortage before our politicians pass a new law requiring rationing of what's left!:laughing:

Hope you continue to tolerate the chemo well, and you get your propane situation squared away at the RV dealer, Drew. Gonna ask 'em about a weekender setup? Usta think Dinty Moore was the perfect food for hunting trips, Drew. A whole meal in a can. Then I started reading ingredients, started making my own stew, started freezing it in zip loc bags to bring along instead. Started reading labels on frozen meals, and stopped shopping at Trader Joes, too. Too much salt, too much sugar, too much oil and grease.

Big lightning storm northwest of here out in the forest, Buppies. Same deal last week, and it caused 37 wildfires, two of which are still burning. No count on how many new ones yet. Glad you and yours are OK, and hope there's not too much mess to clean up.

Hope you land a whopper, Bruce. Pics if you do, OK?

Glad no one was hurt at either your or your neighbor's place, Ken. Sounds like a big mess, though.

Slopped a bunch of POR-15 around in the firetruck tank yesterday, then got the lid back on and bolted down. Still have to weld a fitting on for on of the drain lines, then paint the hatch, but getting closer to getting that thing out of the driveway and out of the way. Also got the suction line ordered, two 20' lengths of flexible and translucent PVC.

First batch of new network hardware showed up, and the end of the box containing the main component was missing on arrival. I'd left the gate open all day so the FedEx guy could come down to the house; no wonder he dumped it in the parcel box instead. When I picked it up I found that end of the box was wet, and the cardboard was delaminating like it had been that way for a while. Thank goodness the unit was wrapped in plastic or it would have been a goner. Fired right up and seems to be OK. Need to pick up some shelves in town today so I'll have a place to mount the new rig; it'll be nice to clean up that spaghetti explosion in the closet.

Solar contractor tweaked the controller settings night before last, and the system sold back a third more power than it consumed yesterday. Looks like small changes in battery charging setpoints, and a new "mode" called "Support" for the overnight hours. Have more homework to do on that one. As I sat on the back porch enjoying a barley pop last night, I noticed that there might be enough room on the solar panel rack for another column of panels. Hmmm...

Gonna cancel all my BofA accounts while I'm in town today, K5. Been planning it for months...

Also gonna try to get the van smogged today. Rumor has it that the California Air Resources Board is requiring all engine swapped vehicles to go through their "referees" for a special inspection this year, and I'm not optimistic it'll go smoothly.

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

I wonder what comes in a can that is healthy?

We keep a couple of cans of Progresso soup in the cupboard for when we don't want to cook but I'm not sure how healthy it is.

Drinking first cup of hot coffee. 49° with mostly clear skies this morning. Heading to 78° with partly cloudy skies. Got trim done in master bath yesterday. Well almost. Still have to clean up shop and put tools away. Going to sand and reseal kitchen island today.
Morning deer.

Drew, hope trip out with RV goes well.

Eric, my decision with hard hats is whether to White, Blue or Yellow.

Randy, sorry about Ellen's cat.

Rick, 74° and need a jacket?

Mostly, good luck fishing.

Everyone stay healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.

Good morning! 75˚F feels like 75˚F with no wind and 95% humidity, dew point is 73˚F and the wet bulb temp is 74˚F.
Since I'm swimming in the afternoon the wet bulb temp is how it feels when wet getting out of the pool.

No rain over .1" since I put the weather station up. Irrigation areas are the only green areas. A string of 100+ days the next 10 days - Dog Days of August.

One of the elderly guys in the Garden SIG needs some help with a gutter, guess I head to his house if he responds back to my e-mail.

Drew, McDougall's soups will keep your sister thinking you are smart.
Soups Archives - Dr. McDougall's Right Foods

You can get them from Amazon also if you can't find them in your local store.

Morning all-o-Y'all....

On the ZTR I'm 99% decided on a Gravely 60", my former Kioti guy now sells them & he's got 0%...

On bigger things though I'm at a tilting point and I've got many, many thoughts on my mind...

10 years ago this past week, I bought this 51 acre place as my 3rd home. I moved here in March of 11 and chaos ensued for some years, y'all were kinda clued in on that at the time...

Just the end of July my 2nd Ex & I basically (barring any emergency, or my daughter deciding she wants it to change) settled everything out for final, just waiting for the inked docs from he court. Been a brutal battle since March of 2013...

Mid-June just past my new wife and I had our first real fight & while I was driving my daughter back to her mom's (I was gone for 70-15 minutes max) she took the dog, all her work from home computers & etc. and left. She left behind her wedding rings... June 30th she officially moved out and we will be divorced before the end of 2020...

I started a new and seems to be AWESOME job here on Memorial Day, and it is rocking. Great people. If COVID would just go away, OMG my work life would be AWESOME!!!

July 2nd I listed for sale my large (5,000+ sqft) home and it sold for almost full price. Closes end of Sept. I still have one rental out by Lake Anna, and I'm gonna hold onto it for now.

Last night my Best buddy who is a commercial real estate developer/investor made me an offer I'm not sure I can pass up... Seems he has flipped an acreage property into a small 9 lot high end subdivision, and left behind an all brick colonial with a massive pool on like 19.9 heavily trees acres surrounded by civilization and probably over 30 minutes closer to the Beltway & DC where I work. It needs upgrades for kitchen & bath & the huge gunnite pool resurfaced, but it needs WAY LESS than my current house...

So now I'm thinking pretty darn hard about selling my Beloved Mossflower Woods (I'm gonna keep the name though) and slightly downsizing and moving closer to work & things like FIOS (OMG real Internet!!!).

He and his wife kind of took the position that maybe this was a good time to consider a Fresh Start... They might be onto something.

I know my New Ex is already dating, and I've got my first real date myself tonight...

What a CRAZY world this is... Good Gravy...

I think I'm just gonna go buy that lawnmower today... What the heck...

Be well all of you fabulous people.
David
