BEF, I'm joining you with the shoulder issue...got up at 2am for a Coco walk, and then had to get in the lazy-boy to get back to sleep. Only saw a possum...no bears since June.

As you were getting back to sleep...sleeping wonder if bear bears were watching you from distance tho. ;)

I watched a Messick's video on the 50hp New Holland Boomer, which turns out to be a rebranded LS. Apparently is has a fairly unique FEL with better reach, but otherwise
is a high quality LS unit. Didn't even have to change the paint color much...

Temps are holding comfortably in rv, and thunderstorms no longer in forecast.

as I was going out the door at assisted living today, I was asked did you get your mail? What mail?...
seems they have mailboxes they never told me about, and I had almost two months of cards from friends and family in there.
Felt pretty dumb about that, and have spent last hour sending emails to folks saying thank you
And thank you PJ, that was nice of you to figure out my address and send a nice hello from the whole gang.

hot water heater got it's brain back, not turning that off again until I need to fill propane tank. The gauge on the tank says 1/4 full, the electronic gauge inside
says 2/3 full. ?? I'm going to assume the mechanical gauge is more accurate.

Drew ..the NH Boomer tractors are LS but ..the FEL's are by NH.

Seem to be more than a few of us here with iPhones. Just got an email about a class action lawsuit involving the performance of Apple iPhone 6, 7, and SE. If everybody files a claim, it would only amount to about twenty-five bux, but that's twenty-five bux you wouldn't otherwise have, right?

Here's the info on filing a claim:

Thanks, my claim was accepted.

The new pull tool use with cedars under the Oaks was the Uprooter.
UPROOTER- Buckthorn, Scotch Broom, and Tree Puller - YouTube

It works good on cedars about 5' tall but when I tried a 7' tall cedar it was two much effort.

So, I was out in the shop organizing some stuff.... guess what I found? Two brand new return air grills I didn't even know I had! Perfect size too!
I got them painted up and installed.... another project completed! And I didn't have to leave home for additional supplies! WOO HOO!

Don .. does anyone, in your area, have a hydraulic tree / post puller? The bigger the tractor .. the bigger the tree.

Ted, the grills look super! Nice job on this, very professional.

Don, yes he was clear to point out the NH design/build of the FEL and a few other things on the Boomer; apparently the loader arms
are a little longer than normal which gives it better reach. Seemed to focus on loading hay bales.

Most oak trees we are working under are 5-7' clearance. Tractors don't fit under them. That is why the park service is gladly accepting our volunteer hand brush clearing. We had 11 people show up today, heat index was 100˚F when we quit.

RNG, I'm still looking for a heat exhaustion app to go on the watch.

I’m not having any luck, my 7 plus serial number didn’t match those covered. Couldn’t get in the Heartline study, I’m feeling unloved! LOL

I grew up in a big farm house in northeastern NC, we had a whole house fan that mounted to the window frame with screws, the back of it was open to the blades, we had it upstairs so not an issue. On the hottest most humid nights everyone would raise their window 3-4 inches and it was very comfortable. The screen would be covered in water. I believe it was a Westinghouse. It lasted from 1952-2004. The last 20 years it was an exhaust fan for my paint booth.

Eric, I have been meaning to post these pics for a few weeks and keep forgetting.....

It is my favorite jelly / preserves... I keep a few different kinds on hand for my e-muffins! Thomas, you should try some if you can find it.

Where do you get it? I want to try.
