I wish everyone a safe and happy July 4th. And my thanks to all who served.
Last night’s meal takeout was really good. This little B&B restaurant has gone through several owners and has always been challenged $’ly mostly due to its remote location. I hope they can survive financially. This place will probably be the first restaurant that we go to when We decide it’s safe enough to dine in. Actually every place where we do curbside pickups seem thankful for our patronage.
A overcast, humid 62ºF for today’s low temperature. I got the dump and fuel run completed early and spent around 2 hours on the rider mower until a popup shower curtailed that activity. Currently a rainy 74ºF.
Tonight I plan on grilling some decent looking steaks and baking rosemary encrusted potatoes in the BGE.
BEF- Nice drone pics.
Bruce- Yesterday afternoon I saw that overgrown squirrel heading into the garden going for the Bok Choy and suddenly it took off at full speed. I do not think anything spooked it, but I do think it took a bite and got some serious hot mouth. I do not feel sorry. That pepper spray solution I made is pretty nasty.
rswyan- Lamb Vindaloo is one of my favorite dishes. Your bird house looks to be sturdy and high quality. I hope you get some residential activity. I really miss not feeding the birds, but that bear was getting much too comfortable around here.
Kyle- I hope your daughter can work through her depression. It’s hard not to be depressed nowadays.
Drew- Good luck with your housing search and getting out of assisted living.
Ron- I love your pics. Your jumping crane is awesome.
Bill- My BIL is convinced that those deer whistles attract deer from his experiences in NJ.
My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for everyone here and Our Country.
