70°F and mostly clear skies this morning, going up to 85° today. It rained here much of the night, and there are more storms headed our way later this morning. Severe stuff in Kansas City earlier, including an early morning tornado warning. Be glad to get through this unsettled stuff and settle into some calmer, albeit hotter, summer weather.

Mostly_, Imo's pizza is definitely one of those love-it-or-hate-it things. It's the definition of "St. Louis style pizza," with thin crust, Provel cheese, and cut in squares. I once read a review by someone from New York who described it as cheese whiz on a cracker . While it's not to everyone's liking, it is far and away my favorite pizza. (their garlic cheese bread is excellent as well) A friend of mine once quipped, "Once you've had Imo's, you come to understand that mozzarella is for cheese sticks."

Don, certainly no shame in losing to that guy. Reminds me of watching that young girl running at track meets for East St. Louis, and just pulling easily away from all competitors. We used to joke that she should have to compete against the guys. She turned out to be the fastest woman on the planet - Jackie Joyner.

Good morning to all! Low of 58, stayed on the warmer side, going up to 88.... again, no rain.

Started sorting through the old papers, maybe halfway through. Found a few important things, like the titles to the car and trailer.... and a couple of copies of Me when I was on the cover of a medical journal magazine.... I forgot all about that.... so need to find safe homes for them. More sorting of the papers today, but should get finished today. Then I can get started on the fun stuff..., sorting through the R/C stuff. I wonder what long lost goodies I will find?

Ron, nice pic of the red lily. Ours have all died off already. They sure don't bloom long...

Our governor had put an ordinance in place requiring a mask in public places about a month ago. There is still about 20% of the people out in the stores not wearing them... seems no one wants to be confrontational with the idiots...

RNG, seems like things are getting back to normal for you now that the solar project is done... you know, back to working on the van :confused2:... you only have one or-two years left on it right? Anxiously awaiting your next project... geothermal? Wind power?

Still wondering about Jay....

I hope everyone has a great day!

My neighbor just called and asked if I could bring the New Holland to extricate his 120 HP tracked skid steer after lunch. He was using it with the mulching head a few miles from here and he backed into a low area of near quick sand.

Rick to the rescue. Do you pull off the drawbar? sounds like a heavy load

RS .. He's got some 30K straps that I'll just hook to grapple, with a big shackle, and slowly pull him out backwards .. so I don't have to remove the Bush Hog cutter. His SS is heavy but .. he'll be able to help it come out too.

I'd be worried about bending your grapple, heavy powerful tractor, but you know your equipment.
One reason I always wanted to weld a big shackle onto front frame bumper of my larger Massey, so I could back up and watch what was going on. Could lift FEL to get that out of way.

79F and sunny @ 11:30, high predicted to be 84F ... which seems low ... but I sure ain't complaining ...

Numerous items on the menu for today if I can get to them ... probably one of the first will be to figure out what I did with that section of plastic line to repair the auto-drain valve on the 5hp compressor down here at the house.

Need to get some grease into the pins on the one cylinder that was removed from the FEL before it gets used anymore.

Beyond that just play it as it comes I guess ...

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day.

Quite often if I am trying to extricate a stuck equipment and the unit I am working with has the heft and hydraulics I will use the bucket curl function similar to using an excavator boom to pull with.
I can backup and get everything tightened up then curl and lift to pull, some loaders will have more pull with the hydraulics then using the wheel traction. The same way excavators can pull more with their booms then with the ground drives.
