What brand weedeater is so generous with their spare parts, Don? Pretty sure I've paid more than $25 for just an air filter before.

Stihl.
The carburetor and parts kit is out of stock now but mine has already shipped a few days ago, should get it today.
Just got the fuel tank in, it also has the fuel filter attached (inside the tank) to the fuel lines. Pleasant surprised.

Back in 2000 I sold a 3.56 acre lot to a family on a twenty year interest only note, with principal due at the end. Well Monday was that day. I looked over the chart and I’ve collected twice the selling price in interest. Now I have to reinvest the payoff to avoid all the taxes. I have paid taxes on the income for twenty years.
I paid 29k for the lot in 95, sold it for $79,900 in 2000, and now it’s worth about $175k. I bought two other lots in the same plat at the same time, long since sold on cash deals. Looking back I wish I’d financed all of them.

I am a very happy camper for sure.
Got results of today's Pet Scan back, no spread of cancer at all, and affected area has shrunk/gone away by at least 75%.
Oncologist delighted, and so am I. Just might be around for awhile...
More chemo on Monday, bring it on.

RS .. He's got some 30K straps that I'll just hook to grapple, with a big shackle, and slowly pull him out backwards .. so I don't have to remove the Bush Hog cutter. His SS is heavy but .. he'll be able to help it come out too.

Hope it works out, and he's still above water when you get there.

But one reason to use chains instead of cables or straps: if a chain breaks, it just drops to the ground. If a cable or strap breaks, it acts like a rubber band and tries to nail whatever is on the ends. You're gonna use a snubber of some sort, right?

After much arguing and considering, our politicians have declined to make it a requirement, although most of us, including me, of course, do wear a mask.

Speaking of masks, a local healthcare professional shared this video on Facebook this morning. Good common sense advise and reasoning about CV19. I don't think you need to be a member of FB to see it...

I have a gas powered Stihl hedge trimmer that has never been easy to start from new. Took it back to the dealer when it wouldn't start again, even after being stored dry. Two hundred and fifty bux and a new carb later, it worked last time I used it. But when I asked why they just didn't rebuild the carb, they said after labor was added, it wouldn't have saved any money.

Quite often if I am trying to extricate a stuck equipment and the unit I am working with has the heft and hydraulics I will use the bucket curl function similar to using an excavator boom to pull with.
I can backup and get everything tightened up then curl and lift to pull, some loaders will have more pull with the hydraulics then using the wheel traction. The same way excavators can pull more with their booms then with the ground drives.

In the same vein, I've had pretty good luck using the bucket to row myself out of stuck positions. Uncurl, lift the front of the tractor a tiny bit, but not enough to lose traction with the front axle, uncurl and give it a little gas. Doesn't always work, but more often than not it does.
