Good morning!!!!

I've 2 gas burner Stihls, an FS55 and a FS250 (I think that's their numbers) and a Flexvolt DeWalt. The DeWalt has about the power of the FS55, but starts a lot easier :) It will barely handle a brushcutter blade. Whereas the FS250 will handle small saplings and thick bamboo w/ the brushcutter.

Thanks for info.
Pretty sure I have little need for brush cutter blade anymore 🤞
I do have the Extendit pruning saw attachment and any new machine would be with the expandable shaft. I have some eucalyptus limbs needing attention as they are keeping me away from fence line now I have my canopy.

next door neighbor got home from the shore, made a beeline for his small corn field and was rewarded with some fine sweet corn. I'm surprised it's up so fast, always
heard of knee high on the 4th of July. He must have planted very early. Sure looks good and I bet he's pleased.
Almost hard to find traditional yellow corn any more. Everyone wants the white hybrid corn, made super sweet through breeding/genetics.

Be a while before any local sweet corn up here,
I like the mixed or bi-color like butter and sugar or honey and cream sweet corn

My Bearcat chipper has that same coupler and I can't use it any more since I don't have the strength to pull back the ring and push the shaft on. Getting old SUCKS!!!

I'm thinking about replacing the pull ring coupler with a pin type. Agri-Supply, and others, have PTO shaft parts. Like you, I'm an older guy (70 plus), but I'm not ready to give up my outdoor chores...which are pleasurable for me...I ain't dead..yet

81F and partly cloudy @ 19:00, high hit 84F. Chance of rain was only 20% but I see a small band of showers off a ways to the south ... heading away from us (thankfully) ...

Just finished mowing the whole front with MMM deck all the way up ... which should avoid having to pick up the cut grass on that portion. Probably will have to mow again soon - like in the next day or two - to avoid it getting out of control. OTOH, with not much in the way of rain in the 10 day - so it shouldn't grow all that much.

The Woman got out there with the FS 66 and did some more weed whacking for a little bit.

Momma deer was out back strolling through the yard this morning, but I did not see a fawn with her. Interesting to see all the animal trails in the grass that weren't really visible until it was mowed down.

Saw a Northern Flicker on the one suet feeder that still has some suet left in it. So will probably need to refill them both soon.

Got hopper feeder cleaned out, refilled with black oil sunflower seeds and put back up yesterday. Other than the Phoebe, backyard has largely been a bird desert until just recently when I started putting food out again. Yesterday I saw cardinals, bluejays, white-breasted nuthatches, and gold finches ... and possibly some other finches as well. Along with the normal pests like starlings and house sparrows. Of course, the barn swallows come out any time I'm on the tractor, looking for some free pickings that get kicked up.

Eddie's Live Bait was not open when I swung by yesterday, and there weren't any large containers of meal worms outside in the self-serve refrigerator either ... I gave them a call and the recording said that the inside is still closed due to COVID-19 and to leave a message ... so will need to do that at some point soon and see if I can make arrangements to pick up mealworms.

After today's sun, the cut grass down here around the house could be picked up starting tomorrow.

Need to make up another bluebird nestbox so I might cut the wood for that here in a bit. Probably go with another Gilwood Slot box since they seem happy to nest in them and they offer some degree of escapability if there is a competitor attack.

Chicken Cordon Bleu on the menu for dinner ...

Hope everyone had an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ...

The coupler for the MMM on the Kubota uses the same style. I've found that it can be pushed in before attempting to place it on the shaft and it will lock back (so you can push it all the way onto the spline) and will then release automatically.

Might give that a shot ... :confused3:

Good evening all. 76F for the start, overcast, windy. Windy again today should slow some each day. Overcast was up and down did have 2 breif showers, don't expect much in rain gauge in morning. High temp was 89F. Chapel to start the day after make wife's breakfast putter with bikes, front light on 10-speed need batteries, move cadence sensor etc. Was going to test ride Peugeot, but rain discouraged that. Also practiced some energy conservation, but no nap.
Covid update: Cooke unchanged, Montague unchanged , Grayson 563 confirmed cases, active cases 45
Drew Hope you can keep away from the Covid carriers.
Roy hope you can pick up gun soon and haircut.
Buppies wonder why your grass is green ;)
Eric good luck with controlling thistle, I try to control sandburr here, pre-emergent seems to be wearing off.
Billy been too overcast here for good pics.
Ron with only one of you, time to repair projects like you barn door can really grow. nice squirrel pic to bad hawks don't chase it. :) Currently 4 bikes one is normally set up for gravel (Trek) and 2 road bikes 10-speed being backup to Volagi. 10-speed is headed for retirement. Peugeot will replace 10-speed in back up role.
Roy thanks for the explanations
Drew thanks for the story, legal system seems to have forgotten what is justice :(
RNG 85 % of time it's the Volagi, it's design and steel construction damp out more vibration, Trek get the nod for gravel riding, back up road bike when Volagi needs work. Interesting on the 2 Locktite products. May need that in the future
Don sorry to hear about your neighbor. Is he going to hospital or getting treatment at home?
K5lwq welcome :welcome: Looks like you are close to Lake Fork. enjoy you baching it and hope you don't get Covid.
Ron, nice work, may last longer than 70 years :)
Thomas nice you got the hand rail done sorry about kitten, I wouldn't be late for dinner either !
David do you do anything with it?
Drew love that sweet corn.
RS good to hear you got some help with the weed whacking, sorry about the meal worms, love that Chicken Cordon Bleu, I get to flatten the chicken when we make it for some reason ;)
