Finally some good news.

I heard on the radio yesterday that the S&P 500 rose above pre-CV19 levels for the first time since the panic.

So it's safe to look at your retirement portfolio balance again.

Guy you got to be careful what you say. The market gremlins might be listening.

Drew, so glad to read of improvements.

Your tool thoughts remind me of a mental struggle I’m having too often. What happens to my stuff when something happens to me? Not that I have a collection of the greatest, but it is of value, and rather needed for property maintenance. Currently, I don’t think our son would realize, let along appreciate it and likely unknowingly just give it away. He is still 12 years from retiring. Makes me wonder if maybe he’ll decide to retire here and will need it. Currently I suspect his wife’s thinking is sell, convert to cash.

Best of luck to you and continued prayers.

We are getting some much needed rain, don’t know how much we will get but it’s all appreciated. So far .17 but coming down moderately.

Feel pretty good about yesterdays project work. Finished up on the wood walkway out to the shed. I should stop calling it the shed ... it will be our “hobby shack” shared between wifey and I. She will move her sewing, crochet, and crafty stuff out there. I will be able to dig my R/C stuff out of storage and again be able to have some fun with all of it.

Today, I will finish tying in the electric service, then start on the little porch roof. Here is a progress pic of the deck / walkway to the shack. I had an artistic moment when I put down the first few walkway boards.... stagger them offset... showed wifey, she liked it, so that was that....

77F and mostly sunny with a nice breeze.

Fire extinguishers dropped off, then hit the BK.

After that swung by the Massillon TSC since I was down there anyways. Canton TSC’s bird food selection was totally wiped out the other day when I was there. Grabbed a few things and then headed back home.

Got last of the recycle stuff loaded and headed off to the recycle center. Got there at 16:20 and was unloaded and pulling out of the lot by 16:30 ...

Sitting up in the shop and enjoying a little coffee ... about to get back on the shelves.

Rick has already got them patented and is searching for a manufacturer.... :)

Some people have the padding already built in.

Bird, I hope you're not feeling too much pain.

Drew is down to 3 days and a walk out.

Funeral went ok this morning. Me and my wife’s husband were asked by wife’s mother to lead the service. Had visitation from 10am - 7 pm yesterday. They strung it out to reduce crowd, but was a long day. We came back to the house a couple times.
Only had a graveside service today. I chocked up some but got thru it. Never spoke at a funeral before, not my thing. But they liked it.

Buckeye, I bet you did beautifully today.

confirmed I'm out Monday, and that they are coming tomorrow morning to give me chemo through my spine. Bit worried about that since my spine is simply jammed full of bone at L5 and spinal tap ten days ago almost could not be completed due to lack of spinal fluid flow. Going to be careful to remind them to check their notes about that prior procedure, maybe start a few inches up? Not much hurts more than a needle wiggling around in the spine. Apparently this is more effective than going in through my port. Going to ask for extra local anesthetic too. Chemo through port goes through heart and affects entire body, I get the idea/advantage but hope they don't torture me in process. I'd like some extra rum please.;)

been reading an interesting book but a little hard balancing the big laptop to do so. Will get my replacement Kindle on Monday.
Today was a big day, promoted of sorts, given permission to proceed directly to bathroom when I need to use it vs calling nurse and waiting, waiting.
Just like normal folk...progress.

even better news, wife of old friend called, she had gotten the dreaded call after breast cancer, we need you to come in and talk to us about latest results.Turns out they think it's scar tissue, not more cancer. One happy lady, put a big smile on my face.

Excellent Drew, good luck with your chemo procedure.

Sounds like you had an awesome role today, Dennis, and did it admirably.

New hydro filter on, 11 gal of new fluid. Last time I bought last year RNG 15 gal was $242. I think TSC price was $37/5g. Using a combo of Simply Green and Dawn in the garden sprayer and then the pressure washer I was able to get both the tractor and flail looking good. Ready for work tomorrow.

Yesterday we picked up a pizza kit for first time. Not that special just dough and sauce so today wife and I each made our own basically using what we found in the fridge. To mine I added, roast turkey, Black forest ham, kielbasa, hard salami, onions, peppers, pepperjack cheese, shredded cheese, grilled pineapple, some seasoning and red pepper flakes. Wife doesn’t care for the onions and peppers so had a couple substitutions.
