I see lots of people who look to me as if they need a haircut, but until what I've seen here on Tractorbynet, I just assumed it be the new styles. Personally, I got my usual haircut today. I always hated to go sit at the barbershop and wait my turn. So I bought some Wahl clippers 20 years ago; don't use any of the attachments that came with it; just mow it all off as close as I can. My wife usually does it because she's afraid I'll miss something. And even after mowing off just a weeks growth, it feels so much cooler and more comfortable. I've also tried to grow a beard a time or two, but the longest I could tolerate not shaving was 4 days once or twice; 2 or 3 is more normal for me.

And since I always put 2 drops of oil on the blades of my Wahl clippers before use, and always use the air compressor at 100 psi or more to clean it after use, the blades are still sharp and comfortable after 20 years (actually slightly more than 20 years; bought them on 1/12/2000).

No numbers - I haven't measured them yet - just a couple of sources.

... where a TBN member (jdeng - only ever made one post) who really seemed like he knew what he was talking about mentioned two sources for spring-style, easily replaceable wear bushings:

Vogelsang Fastener - Products

and

CONNEX - Spring Bushings & Pins

Not too sure I want to tackle drilling out the rod ends on the cylinders myself (new cylinders are $667.00 apiece ) ... given the amount of runout (and lack of really slow speeds) on my Craftsman drill press. Might see if I can find a local machine shop that could bore them out with some degree of precision. Or check with my machinist neighbor and see if he still has his shop set up out in the pole barn with his Bridgeport.

Not a problem for me. Bridgeport mill and 12” lathe. Make most anything I want. I thought cylinders had bushings. I do not see any wear in FEL frame. I do have a pin quick attach.

I do the same annually on March 18th. After dying all the hair above my shoulders green for St. Patricks Day. About 20 years ago there was a shortage on the single edge Razor blades I use in my fathers razor. At that time I shaved my face daily and dulled blades quickly. My MIL found and bought about 10 packs. I still have several packs.

RNG, 6 months? Really? You could have asked LOL
...
When I installed my propane genset last year, simple, test as you did. Remind me which inverter yo are going with? With Outback Radian there are both relay and non relay connections. Enjoy.

The confusion was with the cryptic Cummins documentation, which made no mention of the signal levels on the autostart lead, and that provided schmatics of two of their transfer switches, which just gave terminal numbers instead of any real information. Outback's documentation on the 8048 was very clear and easy to understand, and I was able to just download it from Outback's web site.

Had a chance to dig into some of the MATE3 controller docs this morning; it looks very capable, but I'm gonna hate that push button interface. Are you able to make configuration changes from the web interface, or is that read only?

On boring out the tabs on the loader frame, kind of a similar deal: I need to talk to my ex heavy-equipment mechanic neighbor again and go over what we discussed previously. Seems like he gave me the name of a place up near Cleveland that did that kind of work ... but that would likely involve taking the loader frame to them ... unless they offer an on-site line-boring service (entirely possible ... but likely to be expensive.

I went through that on the FEL on the old tractor. The torsion tube that runs between the two loader booms was cracked at the weld joint, so I just cut one side off so I could clamp it to the mill table and bore out the pin holes to take larger pins. Pretty sure I made bronze sleeves to go in there, too. Very surprised and disappointed Kubota didn't put sleeves in there to begin with, and there aren't any in the M62, which is supposed to be from the construction equipment side of the house. But there it is.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do; you're a pretty capable fabricator and shouldn't have too much trouble figuring out something that'll work.

Thomas, do you need a reminder here before your 2:30?

I got the tonneau I ordered for the Ram today, here’s what it looked like. No apparent damage to the cover.

Glad I don’t have to deal with transfer switches. Another level of potential confusion.

Outbacks documentation isn’t the best, but usually adequate. Often you have to read the docs of each component as there maybe a nuance difference.

Your initial setup should be done by installer and will be at the Mate3s. Verify he installs all latest firmware as there are often tweaks since manufacture. Make sure he doesn’t add his own password. Be sure to save the configuration file to the SD card.
I’m sure you will observe attentively. Doesn’t hurt to physical verify setting on each component after.

Do set up OpticsRE (need wired internet connection for Mate3s) keep full privileges for yourself. I give my installer Read only. I also set up a separate Read only account I give to housesitters or anyone curious about the system. From OpticsRE you’ll be able to tweak settings. I check the site as the 5th thing I do every morning and one of last things at night as well as times in between. Overkill, I know.

Besides the docs, your installer, I highly recommend you join the Outback Forum. OutBack Power Technologies User Forum - Active topics.

Some really smart people there willing to be helpful both users and OB folk. Fill out your profile and enjoy.

If you don't mind my asking, Mike, what tooth bar did you end up with? I'm in the market for one for the M62.

RNG .. I'll offer you my experience with toothbars. I bought a Piranha Tooth Bar from BXpanded shortly after buying my LS XR4046HC in 2014.

BXpanded Piranha Toothbar

It was easy to install, you drill 2 holes in the side of your bucket. I liked it so well that, when I bought my LS XR4155HC in 2017, I told dealer to just install my old bucket on the new tractors since it already had the PTB and three hooks welded on the bucket. The FEL with the PTB digs well and back drags well. The teeth are sharp and do great cutting roots.

Everything attachments has a recently developed, similar type of tooth bar that looks to be well designed. If I didn't already have the PTB .. I probably would have given this one a hard look.

Custom Wicked Tooth Bar for Tractor Buckets.

I originally looked into the Ratchet Rake but .. wasn't keen on the ratchet straps that hold it onto your bucket. YMMV.
