I’m interested also. My kubota dealer talked me out of the suspension seat, they offered this type for around $300 and full suspension seat at around $700. He recommended the full seat if I felt I needed it.

Northern tool has K&m model exact same pics

Then there is rotary 12530 also with same pic.

I didn't know much about zero-turns when I bought the machine...as far as the ride. I had been finish mowing with a 72" RFM behind a Deere 4400. That was a very slow process and 72" was too wide. The 920 does the job a lot faster and a better cut. Never regretted buying the machine, but my back is getting worse so I think it's time to do something.

Well, it is raining, so I reckon no mowing today...I can measure the bolt pattern and order the suspension seat, if the pattern is correct. Probably a good day to change the blades too.

Well, what a day. First started last night, attempting to sleep.... hour here, hour there....
then, at one point during the attempts, I heard a strange sound. Unfortunately, I convinced myself that it was a room to room fan that was running....I rolled over and finally fell asleep. This was sometime between 1 am and 3 am.

Then at 5:30 am, wifey went to the bathroom.... I was told that we have no water... not even a trickle. I was now awake... and recognized that the sound I had been hearing was gushing water...:confused2: I heard it coming from the direction of the bedroom window.... looking out, I saw a babbling brook that should not be there.... we live in the high desert!

So, getting dressed on the run towards the front door (I still do not know what I put on), got out to the main water shutoff and stopped the flow. I could tell where the leak was from the tell tale giant washout / pothole. I knew what I would be doing for the day, and it was something I was not going to enjoy!

Got the tractor fired up, had to switch out the PHD for the BH, and off to digging in muck I go! Found the pipe 4ft down where it should be. I was happy that I put a band of bright orange vinyl tape about six inches above the pipe I originally put it in, but getting that next scoop with the BH, snagged the pipe! That little voice was telling me stop! But I did not listen.

Break out the shovels and time to get dirty! And dirty did I get! My son came over and took over the job for me. He had it all cleared out. Broken elbow and pipe.... 1 1/2 inch main. I cannot wait to see the water bill!

Went to the shop, dug out my plumbing supply box. Nope .... everything but 1 1/2 fittings. The piece of pipe I had was about 6 inches too short for the repair. Oh well, wait for the hardware store to open at 9....

Had to wait in line, about 5 people before me, but only about a 10 minute wait. Got everything needed and went back to the muck. My son said he would get in the trench and do the fit up. He never did real plumbing before, so a good learning experience. I showed him how to measure the pipe / fittings, do a dry fit up, then glue. Successful job! We used the fast set wet glue, but still were going to wait 4 hours for it to dry.

I was reminded by wifey that I promised my other son that we would go get the trim needed for his garage (yes, he is trimming out his man cave with stained 1x4 ponderosa pine). So, while waiting for the pipe glue to dry, went to the lumber yard. What a bunch of crappy wood they had... went through about 80 boards to get 32 good ones. Then went to get 264ft of other millwork, that we paid for, that they only had about 60 . Had to go through their whole millwork rack to find a different trim that they had enough of. Of course it cost more, which we had to go and pay before we could load it!
2 hours later, that fiasco was over, just as they were closing up for the day.

At least the glue was dry (After now 6 hours) by the time we came home. Pressurized the system, no leaks!:)
Definitely going to leave the trench open overnight, just in case. Needless to say, I did not work on any of my projects already in progress. Tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it will not be as exciting!

That was heck of day, hope slept well.

Good morning, 58 now, supposed to get to 72 later. Depends on which weather forecast you check whether we are gonna get some rain.

Had the first death locally from the virus. 43 y.o. with multiple other health issues. 109 cases in the county as of yesterday.

Yesterday was a busy day. We worked outside, string trimming, mowing, brush cutting, removing yard debris, etc. even found time for a ride on the Triumph and the Bultaco in the woods. We were both tired and sore last night.

Everyone stay safe out there.

Poured second cup of coffee. 51° with bright sun this morning. Heading to 70° with lots of sun. Mowed lawn and washed windows yesterday. They were a lot dirtier than I thought. Clean Garden Pond today. Clean back porch and put new carpet down.
I think new bird at feeder is a Purple Finch.

Will catch up tomorrow.

Payers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

Next you will be running the backhoe and flying the drone at the same time.
Nice pic BEF
.

That thought has crossed my mind already. Wouldn’t be too hard, drone will pretty much hover in place, start recording then start digging.

Good Morning!!!! 58F @ 4:45AM. Partly cloudy skies. High 79F. Winds light and variable.
Moderate temps made for comfortable weather yesterday, but the flat light from thin overhead clouds made it hard to see what was happening in the bottom of the trench, and once the afternoon wind picked up, the flying dust didn't help, either. Today should be an improvement.

I had contractors install sprinkler piping at the old house, Ted, and had a couple of joints fail in a similar manner. Apparently they can be assembled without glue and still hold pressure, then fail months later. I found a few like that with no signs of either the purple primer or smears of glue in the joint.:muttering: Hopefully today takes a quieter course for both of us, hmmm?

Thanks for the backhoe tip, RS. Keep 'em commin'! You mentioned a blower yesterday, and when I went out to greet the second electrical crew yesterday, one of them was using one to clean the dust off the truck that had gone on the errant trip. It was a tiny thing but seemed to be doing a nice job for its size, but on looking it up, it seems it only gets 12 minutes run time per charge. Thought it might have been a heat gun when I first saw it, but the only offerings from Makita plug into a wall. But during the search of their website I discovered they also sell a cordless heated jacket offering up to 36 hours of warmth/charge. I've been enjoying heated jackets on the motorcycles for years, but never thought they'd be made portable enough to go cordless. Yet here they are, perfect for those winter sports events, if we're ever allowed to get together in crowds that size again...

Thanks for sharing your misadventure with the post pounder, David. It's nice to know someone that works even harder than I do to make trouble for themselves.:thumbsup:

To borrow a lyric, Jay, "When I drink alone, I prefer to be by myself." And I stay off the tractor and leave the drone alone, too!
While I mostly enjoyed good reliability from the Toyotas I've owned, it's hard to get any enthusiasm for them after how they treated my mom's boyfriend after the frame rails on his Tacoma rusted through.

I let my hair grow all summer when I first moved here, Kyle, and a neighbor almost didn't recognize me when we bumped into each other at Costco that October. I still remember the confused look on his face when I greeted him by name.

Somehow the Mini knows when it's wearing prop guards, Ron, and won't rise more than something like 40 feet or travel more than about 100' away. Which probably explains why you never see one wearing the guards in any of the review videos on YouTube...

More digging today. Will probably get to the driveway, and start approaching the main water line where it goes into the house. By this time tomorrow I'll probably be planning a trip to town for PVC fittings...

Hope everybody enjoys the rest of their weekend!
