Crystal clear 40ºF for today’s low temperature; a clear and sunny 46ºF presently, and I anticipate a sunny afternoon with high temperature in the low 60ºF’s. There is still surface runoff in the lower field during this AM’s dog slog around the perimeter. A beautiful day to discover that my Tundra lost its brakes prior to the dump run. It will require AAA transport services.
:(. I had not complained about the truck in some time; I guess it was due. Like a few here, I am not exactly thrilled with the available trucks.

Thomas- I am happy to see Boo Boo’s return. They really are creatures of habit.

Randy- I am happy that you and Gracie had some quality time walking.

Bruce- Our solar panels put a real damper on my flying around here. That’s an interesting bike path tunnel.

RonJH- From my personal experience drones seem to be magically attracted to water features. Nice flight and a great landing. You got a thumbs up from me. You have a nice place. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for all the vids and pics.

An interesting article looking at C-19 #’s for each State and USA territory:

Tracking Covid-19 cases in the US

I hope that everyone is having the weekend that they anticipated.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Jay, sorry your Tundra is acting up. You are probably not interested but I've read a few things that are promising a redesign for the 2021 Tundra...also speculation about a hybrid and a diesel version. I'm happy with my 2016...since only 50,000 miles on it, not looking to replace for a long time. It had its first road run yesterday in over a week...short drive to the battlefield forest for a hike...was surprised that we saw no one there on over a 4 mile hike, and no vehicles in the parking lot...maybe because it had just stopped raining, but with the National park locked down as are many other parks, expected to see some Covid exercising.

Today's Quarantine Humor:

Today's Powerball Jackpot
is up to 18 rolls of Charmin.

Fact:
in just 4 more weeks, 88% of blondes will disappear from earth.

Speaking of barbershops, my hair is longer than any time since the 70s.

Billy- Thanks for the laugh. It's probably magical thinking, but I am hoping that there will be compact/subcompact pickup trucks going into production within the next year or two.

66°F and .24 inches rain. Not a lot but the on and off type that hinders getting seriously involved in anything outside.

Sears tech got new fan installed in freezer, that’s a relief. So much quieter now.

RNG, please be careful with that big toy out there.

Sure am enjoying the new drone perspective pics.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

67 degrees this morning, going for a high of 90. We had some clouds this morning and I saw at least 2 drops of rain hit the windshield as I was on my way to Walmart around 7 a.m. I had placed a pretty big order ($180 plus) and got $70 worth of it. They said 6 items were "out of stock"; the most expensive being ink cartridges for my printer.

Denton has a Community Market one Saturday a month in the summer and of course it's cancelled until further notice. But at the same location there's a Farmer's Market every weekend and I was surprised to see it open today. The workers were not wearing masks; some customers (including me) were, and some were not.

I figure all the blonde's "landing strips" will get a re-coating. :)

My hair is long enough to go back to high school.

rip, hope daughter is well.

Jay, I've only had to work on 1 car's brakes that had lived for years up in the salty roadspray up north. I told my friend it would be better to just buy new stuff and put it on....the old stuff had at least a 1/4" of rust/crust...

62F and cloudy @ 13:00 ... calling for a high of 69F with the possibility of some sun around 17:00, although I see it trying to peek through now. Hopefully that keeps up.

... Sure am enjoying the new drone perspective pics. ...

Yup - pretty amazing technology. Glad you were able to get your freezer fixed ...

I'm learning, at a slow speed. I'm getting good at finding ways to maim or kill myself with it; I don't know what I don't know. So I'll stick to turning the engine off before dismounting.

While trenching on a slope, it is generally best to be on the downhill side with the machine ... and operating so that the digging action tends to pull the machine upslope.

About time to go remove the backhoe and put the BB on and get to work spreading crush ...

Mowed the back slope behind where son mowed last night, then took ZT to mow other side of creek. Even though I picked up sticks a couple weeks ago, still plenty. Set deck at 5. Just want to knock weed growth off.
IMG_4258.JPG

Have to go out on gravel county road to get to other side, not far. Much faster mowing around trees with ZT.
Son said he’d finish mowing front yard. Another 10 min I could have been done.

Someone has charcoal grill going, smells good.
Neighbors cat that lives here wants petted.

Had to replace all brake lines on my 2001 dodge truck after about 5 yrs. My 2008 2500HD Chevy has under 50k miles.

Just a gorgeous day out.

It was a beautiful day here and I actually did something productive outside for a change.

The first two guys who asked permission to harvest wood cut down by the tree services along our easement cut these rounds for me for my permission to harvest.

That electric wood splitter had difficulty with only two rounds- 1 had rotten innards which I can probably process later and the other was too knotted. 2 rounds are a little too long for our stove and will need to be cut further. I may need the tractor to lift a couple of rounds that I can not lift.

My back is not exactly happy at the moment= medicinal strength libations during happy hour.
