When I was a kid .. they them train engineer's gloves.

Same here!

Even had a hat to go with my pair.

Now I have an orange and gray pair I got as a freebie from HF, and they've been surprisingly durable. But the fit is lousy and they're pretty uncomfortable. The price was right, though!

Good morning! 61˚F heading to a virus killing 92˚F afternoon. Clear skies with lots of virus killing sunlight. Humidity is still a bit low at 40% but the winds will be coming from the south today which will be high virus killing humidity.

Rick it loos like you have enough tractor to get the jobs done quickly. Too quickly, you would get more seat time with a smaller tractor. With a BX you could have played all week.
Ron, I cut my grass at 5" so any golf ball that wanders in gets lost from view. Of course then there is the potential for that dog problem. However, we have whipper trained to go next to the poop station on her walks where there are bags and a garbage can, so the yard stays clean.

Whipper was all excited yesterday at sunset, she spotted a coyote walking on the golf course and had to warn the entire neighborhood of impending doom.

Got my Kale harvested and removed from the garden and 30 more potatoes planted. I have never planted potatoes this late, so I'm not expecting much. I had planted 1/3 of the potatoes before the shutdown and they already have small red potatoes the size of golf balls.

I thought I could just pull up the Kale by hand but those plant grew so big and deep I had to get a shovel. I took a pic for Kyle of the base of one of the stalks because he pulled his after they did not take off.
The Roma tomatoes will go in Tuesday, They are in pots in my backyard now.
The new transitional work schedule for the garden club is working well, I never had anyone less than 50' from me. I saw the bike club was back on group rides again (No drafting Mostly) and a plan has been submitted to open up the golf courses. The card and domino club will still remain dormant as will the other inside clubs.

Here are a couple of garden pics - removing Kale and the potatoes planted next to month old potatoes.View attachment 652447View attachment 652448View attachment 652449

RNG - ahh, a Kubota L47

Don, I wonder if our kale is a different variety? My wifey would pick the best leaves available and leaf the rest. :)

whipper doesn't like coyotes....long term bad relationship and memories I suppose. Can't blame her. I'd be tempted to use Eric's air gun on them...with a silencer of course. Nice airgun Eric. I have my less than trusty Crossman Quest 1000x to ward off varmints. It's reasonably accurate to 30-40 yards/meters.

I cut my lawn weeds to 1-2" to be able to see scorpions....the situation is better. None the night before.

I'm sticking with my M-62 guess.

A rainy 34ºF for today’s low, a drizzly, overcast 38ºF presently; and a anticipate a rainy/rain showery afternoon with high temperature in the mid40ºF’s. A decent day to waste getting my curbside booze pickup. Today I will add a bottle of champagne to the usual list = Wifey’s birthday. I think she’s 38:rolleyes:

J- tell your wifey Happy Birthday (belated). hope the champagne was enjoyed.

Thanks Buppies...not looking good. No water intake and nothing coming out the back end. Had intestinal issue diagnosed before...just may be her time. She's 23 years with us. Wife taking it hard. Will have to see how horse does in the next 24 hours.

Sorry about your horse. Hope it gets better.

I pulled some of our white onions today. Best size I've ever been able to grow.

BBQ's 10 lbs of pork chops, and some custom chicken chili feta sausage IIRC. so so on the sausage. Had enough pork chop trimmings to feed Brogen I bet.

Might try to pick some more dewberries tomorrow.

Rick sure does have plenty of equipment, and a red corvette too. :)

Ron, we are the beneficiaries of your nice camera work. Hope you guys enjoy your new DJI's.

Need to get back outside for chores. Gloves, can't have too many. Blue nitrile for Covid, leather for some stuff, kevlar for other stuff like handling big band saw blade.

Prayers.

Busy day, went to our pastors’ house and picked up a six piece sectional to upholster, gotta keep my skills sharp in case I run out of stimulus money.
We changed the post top lights on the bigger deck, still have the two smaller ones to go.
We cleaned the house today since our cleaning crew is socially distancing.
Cooked burgers, dogs and tater tots on the grill. Took a half
Hour nap.

Had a beautiful day, sunshine and warm until about 4, then clouds moved in quickly and it was raining by 5:30.

Hope everyone had a great day. Prayers.

An e-mail came out today that our golf courses will open Monday. So I have 2 days to walk 2 courses/ 36 holes. After 9 my knee started giving me grief so I went to Academy and got a trecking stick, which really helped, and did another 9 this evening. 18 holes to go tomorrow. 16,000 steps today. A pic along the way. IMG_3643.JPG

Went out after grilling burgers and hotdogs for supper, and planted part of garden. Planted Corn, potatoes and pole beans. I re tilled the potato area.

Was getting dark, but mowed front yard after.

Lots going on in TBN land.. good to catch up.. mowed the lawn yesterday morning with dew still on it.. lots less dust and pollen that way. Started on dishwasher install in the afternoon.. got the old one out, got the new one test fitted, but it wouldn't go in far enough, I was beat so finished it up this morning. The wife likes it so far (very quiet) so that works for me. Still have some tools and parts to put away, but getting up and down a bunch has made me very sore.

Stay safe, prayers for all.

40 right now...high in the lower 60's today. Maybe rain showers this morning and clear this afternoon.
Dump run this morning. Then I'm going to remove and store the snow blower for the season.. I'm going to hook up either the flail mower or the chipper. IIRC, I wrote last week I'll have chores for both implements once the ground is a bit dryer. After that and my stepdaughter gets home from work, we'll do the gutters on the back of the house.
While I'm out for the dump run, this will be a good time to get some diesel for the tractor

Both the chipper and mower are out of winter storage...probably mow first since I need to drop a small (6"-7" trunk) before I need the chipper.
Beautiful Spring day, actually. Might get something done Sunday (26th April) before the weather goes to crap...
After my work, I had a few Jameson's (Irish whiskey) and Sprite to take the edge off the day...mighty tasty...
