Good morning, I couldn’t logon since Wednesday. Finally got on this morning and everything seems normal. Used the same info I’ve been using. Who knows?
Went to cardiologist yesterday and he changed up my meds again. I’m having about 2-4% Afib and an extra beat sometimes. Although it’s been better lately. BP was great at least.

Drew I’m glad you got your procedure done.

I got my seat time before the rain and doctor by moving the trailer and mowing there, then went to the back and buried old lumber from another spot, none of it was treated, I wouldn’t do that.
Finally got the paver edging done, only 8 years after putting them down!

Been rainy and about normal temps the last couple of days, hit 70 yesterday, expecting similar today with possibly some storms.
Currently 61 here.
Have a good one, stay safe. Prayers.

Good morning. It's 58° and low humidity this morning but, forecast says 93° this afternoon. Whuuu?

Wednesday night rains all went north of us .. nothing in our forecast until the middle of next week.

I took a break from yaupon removal to take down a dead tree. It pushed over easily which surprised me a bit. I put the New Holland in low range, 1st gear, 4WD, throttle just above idle ... and the tree came over easily with zero tire spin. I picked up the root ball to break the lateral roots and used the FEL to shake most of the dirt back into the hole.

Hole filled and packed.

The tree in the above background will be my next Yaupon removal. It, like the last one, is full of poison ivy and green briar.

Our county is still at total 8 CV cases, 3 recoveries, no hospitalizations.

Everyone stay safe!

Prayers to all.

Good Morning!!!! 66F @ 5:00AM. Sunny to partly cloudy. High 88F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph.

Back in my high school days, PCP was horse tranquilizer, and it made kids do stupid stuff in gym class. My, how things have changed...

Gonna be a run on a lot of things when businesses open up, Drew. Just look at how many of us need haircuts!
Hope this latest dance with the new doc gets to the bottom of the dizzy spells.

Careful you don't step on any nails, Bill!

Still holding at 16 cases in Butte County, no deaths, no new cases in the past week.

There's a lot of discussion about the deadliness of CoVid-19 compared to past flu seasons. I read an article this morning that last year's toll was 80,000, more than double than in previous years, mostly due to H2N3. Most areas haven't yet peaked for CoVid-19, so those numbers will get worse, and we don't know how much worse they'll get. But this year could be nothing compared to the future.

For some history on flu, read this article, . Now it looks like there will be two strains of flu that most older people have never been exposed to, and therefor have no immunity to. There's no vaccine for CoVid-19, and the one for N2H3 isn't very effective. H2N3 is very virulent, CoVid-19 even worse. H2N3 was responsible for the majority of deaths last year. That doesn't bode well for next flu season at all. The one bright bit of news is that CoVid-19 only lasts a couple of minutes when exposed to summertime heat and sunlight. Hopefully that gives researchers time to develop a vaccine and better testing techniques, and suppliers to catch up on the PPE and disinfectant shortfalls. And for us all to get used to washing hands, not shaking hands, and doing business at a distance.

Late start yesterday, not much done. Reviewed the radio hookup instructions again, and couldn't find anything wrong. I did learn how to turn off the outputs to the subwoofer and rear speakers, neither of which were hooked up, and that got rid of the distortion. I guess the electronics didn't like trying to drive a 20' length of 10 gauge wire without a real impedance at the end.:confused2: Put the radio manual in the glove box, which was also new for this last trip. It was really nice having a safe place for the registration and proof of insurance papers, and an old iPod for backup tunes. But I didn't quite have time to mount the two straps that keep the g'box from flopping onto the floor. Think of a bin, open at the top and hinged at the bottom, and that's VW's idea of a glovebox in the van. Yesterday I found some black nylon webbing, and the mounts for what VW used for the straps, which are nothing more than "C" shaped holes, with the open sides up. A knot in each end of the webbing to keep it from pulling through, and now the glovebox is done.

Opened up the box for the alarm system, and found only a single piece of paper for instructions. It gave a URL where I could download the full installation guide and owner's manual. Thirty pages for the former, another eighteen for the latter. Spent the rest of the day reading them, and by the end, my head was spinning. So many features, very few of which, thankfully, I'm interested in. So I printed out the installation guide, and will highlight the parts that are applicable, and hope I don't miss anything.

The alarm fob will also work electric door locks, which have yet to be installed. But before I do that, I need to finish the sound deadening in the doors. So that's what I'll work on today. :drink:

BTW, TGIF!!!

Good morning! 61˚F heading to a virus killing 92˚F afternoon. Clear skies with lots of virus killing sunlight. Humidity is still a bit low at 40% but the winds will be coming from the south today which will be high virus killing humidity.

Rick it loos like you have enough tractor to get the jobs done quickly. Too quickly, you would get more seat time with a smaller tractor. With a BX you could have played all week.
Ron, I cut my grass at 5" so any golf ball that wanders in gets lost from view. Of course then there is the potential for that dog problem. However, we have whipper trained to go next to the poop station on her walks where there are bags and a garbage can, so the yard stays clean.

Whipper was all excited yesterday at sunset, she spotted a coyote walking on the golf course and had to warn the entire neighborhood of impending doom.

Got my Kale harvested and removed from the garden and 30 more potatoes planted. I have never planted potatoes this late, so I'm not expecting much. I had planted 1/3 of the potatoes before the shutdown and they already have small red potatoes the size of golf balls.

I thought I could just pull up the Kale by hand but those plant grew so big and deep I had to get a shovel. I took a pic for Kyle of the base of one of the stalks because he pulled his after they did not take off.
The Roma tomatoes will go in Tuesday, They are in pots in my backyard now.
The new transitional work schedule for the garden club is working well, I never had anyone less than 50' from me. I saw the bike club was back on group rides again (No drafting Mostly) and a plan has been submitted to open up the golf courses. The card and domino club will still remain dormant as will the other inside clubs.

Here are a couple of garden pics - removing Kale and the potatoes planted next to month old potatoes.IMG_3631.JPGIMG_3630.JPGIMG_3634.JPG

my trip to rv repair shop went very well.
I was in and out in half an hour.
Tech realized that he had put selector
handle back on last time in wrong position, after he had taken it apart and lubed it, which explained everything.
They have a muddy lot from the recent rains, so now I have some cleanup to do, and I'll test all functioning again.
Next week I'll take it back to them to install rear LED auxiliary light strips

pretty wet out, really can't work outside today.

Good morning 43 going to 52 and heavy rain.
Looks like inside work only today.
Picked up dinner curbside last night, quite a few places doing that with either phone or web order.
Looks like for every day of sun we will get 2 rain days for the next week or so. Planting this weekend if the garden drys out enough to dig.

rick, what do you do with the trees after you remove them?

The tall ones get cut into 2 or sometimes 3 sections then set on top of burn piles by one of the tractor / grapples.

45°F and heavy fog this morning, going up to 71° today. Sunshine early should burn off the fog, but more rain and some boomy stuff expected later this afternoon and into the evening.

The rains let up a little earlier than predicted yesterday, so my drive to Carlyle after work was mostly uneventful. Tractor Supply was mostly empty, save for a coupe of employees and one other customer. Got in, got my feed, and got out in a matter of minutes. Was able to get it out to the barn without getting stuck, too, which was really my primary concern regarding the rain.

Got to play with some of the new features added to my Helix guitar processor from the recent firmware update. The one I was most interested in is a model of an old compressor that sounds much smoother on my bass guitar than the one I had been using. I played way too long with that. Wifey had already gone to bed by the time I shut everything down for the night.

That's a great-looking rifle, Eric. One thing I don't have is a nice air rifle. I have a couple of cheapies, but nothing decent.

I admit that I, too, was thinking it might be a Kioti, RNG. I thought you'd given up on Kubota.

I am told that poison ivy should not be burned, because the poison is still 'live' in the smoke. What I WILL say is stay out of the smoke at all costs.

Good morning to all! Low of 46, high of 70 today, again windy. Matter of fact, it was windy all night, just going to get worse by mid-day.

RNG, glad your road trip went well and now you have better insight for what part of the project to tackle next. I had looked at pics of the L47, but could not find any to match up..... mmmm... I must have done something wrong then, because I see the match now!

Drew, glad the RV problem was a simple fix! Hopefully when they do the lights, they will be a little more careful when reassembling it!

Ron, the mulch is still there, kind of protected by the wood border. However, the fountain / pond stopped running yesterday and again this morning. There are a bunch of the small wood chips that got blown into the pond, which clogged up the screen on the pump. Need to get it cleaned up / free of debris.... I hope that most of the loose small stuff has blown away already.

Forecast for next week is predicting record highs in the upper 80s.... way too soon for temps going up that high! Gonna-be a hot summer!

Everyone have a great Friday and start to the weekend!

A rainy 34ºF for today’s low, a drizzly, overcast 38ºF presently; and a anticipate a rainy/rain showery afternoon with high temperature in the mid40ºF’s. A decent day to waste getting my curbside booze pickup. Today I will add a bottle of champagne to the usual list = Wifey’s birthday. I think she’s 38:rolleyes:.

Drew- That hat is a Dorfman®. The material is some kind of plastic treated canvas. It’s a pretty decent hat. It will seam leak if I spend time in torrential downpours.

Ted- You are a genius. I have a Mobius keychain video cam (from the “Flying Cuisinart”) with decent optics the I could mount on my hat and/or face shield. It’s a poor man’s GoPro®.

Bruce- Some of the restaurants doing curbside pickup were doing this service before C-19. Some made minor adjustments to their physical plants and many already had online capability. That is weird. I wish there was a local Japanese restaurant nearby. There are a couple of decent Japanese restaurants doing curbside down in the “Big City,” but they are +24 miles away and parking sucks.

BEF and Rick- Nice cleanup projects. It seems that this year I have a decent wind event on almost a weekly basis. My/Our woods are a mess with all the damaged and downed trees.

Eric- I like your PCP  And I have been enjoying all the pics and experiences you share.

“… Grass is so long I cannot find dog poop until I step in it.”- RonJH- I do not understand how Brogen knows where I will be stepping long before I actually do. 13 acres and I still step in it. Luckily he prefers to poo on the driveway and I still manage on occasion to leave a Vibram® sole patterned poo waffle.

There is a definite benefit to living in isolated, rural areas to minimize risk for exposure, but once exposed living 24 miles from any hospital or doctor could prove problematic. We do have excellent “911” services. They saved my life 2X.
Rich, BEF, et. al.- I am happy to read that you are able to work form home.

Randy- I hope this med change will help manage the afib.

Don- Thanks for sharing your garden pics.

RNG- Thanks for the link.

I hope that everyone has a decent Friday.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

The L47 does not show hand holds on the back of the FOP and the loader tube end being filled in. That could have changed, but RNG pic matches M62 so far.

r: No DJI Mini yesterday. It did make it to Metro Detroit area yesterday.

Buckeye, clearing with grapple looks good.

.

My mini made it to Memphis. Was due yesterday, now today.

Thanks, the grapple sure makes it quicker and easier. Still need to pick up a bunch of small stuff by hand.

Good morning All. A chilly 40 this morning at dawn with heavy rain. About 2” so fa. Still drizzling at 48. It may not get to 50 today.

Not much on the schedule for today. Curbside pick-up at the butcher shop for some meat if they call to indicate that our order is ready.

I hope everyone stays safe and healthy for the start of the weekend.
