Good Morning!!!! 59F @ 4:00AM. Sun and clouds mixed. High 76F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph.
That painting cost you ten dollars, Kyle, but it's worth a whole lot more on several levels, right?
Odd you should mention "drought", Eric.
This story from the BBC seems a bit sensational, inventing the new term "megadrought", and aiming it squarely at the Western US. But it seems particularly appropriate considering that Northern California has received somewhere around half the usual rain/snow it usually gets over a winter and spring.
Another sure sign of spring, Ron!
Not to raise an alarm, but
this troubling story out of South Dakota could signal trouble for us meat eaters if it proves to be more than a few localized incidents.
On a
more positive note, the death rate in California, so far at least, is well below predictions, and seems to be due to our lower population density, and our car culture. Who'd a thought we'd be saved by urban sprawl?
Moved a few more things out of the garage yesterday, clearing the way to install conduit and electrical components for the solar power system. It was warm enough to paint in the late afternoon, and I got a few interior pieces painted for the van. It'll be nice to have a glove box!
Called the Kubota dealer yesterday, and two and a half days after dropping it off, they haven't even looked at the tractor yet. But it's at the top of the list belonging to the mechanic assigned to it.
Today's challenge is to get the pump house cleared out enough to run conduit in there. It's a real mess...
