I saw on the news last night that Abbot Labs has come up with a new test for CoVid-19 that gives results in only five minutes. The turn around for the current test is four days. If they can mass produce enough of them, doctors will know who to quarantine, and will be much more liberal with the testing so they can sequester disease vectors earlier and limit the spread. Could be a huge game changer. Too bad I sold my Abbott Labs stock when they split the company last year.:banghead:
This is an interesting web site that looks like it get daily updates. Lots of information but it predicts when the peak Covid 19 cases will occur state by state and indicates resource shortages.
Don .. good luck with your "cedarcide" ..
We now have our first cases of CV in Colorado County. I was told it was a lady from elsewhere visiting friends in CC.
Prayers to all.
Bird, I found myself standing on a chair in the bedroom at 02:15 this morning, and I wasn't all that happy about it. The smoke detector in the bedroom started chirping around 02:00. We tried to ignore it at first, but it eventually chirped about every 30 seconds. So, I grudgingly got up and changed the battery. I'd just changed that one with all the others. Guess it was a dud.
My bank card was hacked about a month ago, an $85 charge through Sam痴 Club online, after a $1 ping a few days before. The $1 got my attention because that痴 SOP with a lot of hackers. My bank told me the same, had to wait until the pending charge either posted or dropped off. The $1 dropped and the $85 went through, took about 4 days to get my money back.Good morning to all! Low went to 40, high going for 65, but wind is also forecasted.
Still no word on the daughters Covid 19 test.... she, and the rest of her family have not gotten any worse symptoms, so maybe all will be good. A matter of time and patience.... thanks for the prank thoughts.... they are working....
RNG, you just had to post that video of the gravel spread..... now I am getting those irresistible urges to get more gravel...:scratchchin::begging::hypnodisk:
Ron, nice bird pics... did they make a nest close to the feeder?
LFN, nice work on the exhaust. Why did you go with larger diameter pipe for the riser?
Going to try and get out into the shop today, at a nice pace, to attempt to do these couple little doors.... it just seems like something more important always jumps ahead in line....
Our bank card got hacked this past weekend, a big purchase at a Verizon store in Alabama, a smaller purchase in California. One had posted Monday and the other larger one was still pending last night. We had to go to the bank in person to dispute the charges and get a new card issued. The said they could not do anything about the pending transaction until it posted to the account.... ???... you would think they would want to stop that transaction before it went through.... bass-ackwards in my book! Guess what? It posted this morning, so another trip to the bank is in order this morning!
Odd thing is, this was the wifeys card, and she has not used it for any transactions for at least 3 weeks... I have used mine at least 3-4 times a week during that period. They have different numbers. Hopefully they will credit the amounts within a few days.
At first, the bank said we would have to call Verizon first and dispute the claim with them. So, after holding on the phone for them for quite a bid, they said they would open an investigation which could take up to 7 days ! BS ! You took my money without authorization, I want to know where and why! All they could tell me was my account was current, no purchase to the account, nothing due until end of April. Lot of good they were!
I am going to go get started.... everyone have a great day!
Make sure to take your meds. My BP medication has worked great after a scare and three stents. Now back to some heavy work with no problems. Don;t put off the Afib testing, see what they can do for you.
