I mowed roadsides with the a/c on, got up to 90 today in full sun. Pulled the blackout screen closed for the roof glass panel
My garden helper got most of the weeds out of the big flower garden and took down dozens of trash bags of junk from the second floor for the dump and mostly xmas
treasures for GoodWill. Now that my truck bed is full of bags, I wonder if GW will be open on Monday...with a stay at home order just announced.
The virus mess has come home to roost for me, not getting sick, though our County now has two actives reported, but rather
in messing up my plans for a back operation. My good friend who has connections at the Philadelphia hospitals just emailed me:
The hospital is gearing up for a huge Virus influx. Perhaps peaking in MAY. Penn has cleared 500 beds and there’s virtually no elective surgery being done unless it’s to save a life
So, just going to have to be patient while others deal perhaps with much greater problems than mine.
Realtors said no phone calls at all on anything
Lots of folks trying to do workarounds and cope with this, trying to keep businesses running
and keep folks employed. Over 3 million unemployed, bet that jumps up.
Ron, I think that was your best bird pic yet, what a pretty bluebird.
Carpenter here working on a few repairs. The wood facing boards on top of the raised garden had rotted and needed to be replaced.
He suggested and I agreed that brown colored Trex would do just fine, and hold up much better to all the watering needed.
He is a lifelong carpenter and now does cabinet work, and works on things he wants to on the side.
I've had problems in the past with trade people who come to my home as their second shift.
Often they are just plain tired.
