"You will know when the world is back to normal when Toilet Paper stays on the shelf more than 24 hours"

When "the rent" comes due, at the end of the month, there will be plenty of TP at all the store return desks.

Think I heard (read) that Costco has said no returns on TP, paper towels, or hand sanitizer. Good, hope the hoarders have to eat it.

Went to TSC last night to pick up my online order, among the items I ordered and paid for was. 30# bag of cat food, only to get home and find a 13# bag instead. Gotta go swap that sometime.

Hit 86 here today, felt great, got some seat time.

Have a good evening.

We still have one each in the three local counties, state numbers went up.

Grilled burgers for supper.
Busy at work.
Son is packing stuff to move tomorrow. Most was done last weekend.
He got fios set up today. I loaned him my basement router for now, he can’t find one he used at school. I was using it as AP, so won’t have as strong of signal now in the house. Another one comes Monday from amazon. Ordered another mouse for use on my work computers. I have 2, Linux for development and windows for other work stuff.
Forsythia blooming nice.

Son’s college now remote for the rest of the semester, they will let us know next week about how to get stuff. We have a vehicle stuck there, all his clothes, etc.

Rain, Rain, beautiful rain. Thank you Lord. This is the soaking we have needed for so long. We still had cracks in the ground from last summer.

I tilled the garden for weeds last night, just in time. It is a mud/muck fest now. I need to get the rest of it planted, but the remnants of some of the weeds (especially nutsedge) will pop up again....so I want to till maybe next Tuesday or Wednesday.

Today is my last day at a company that was once great.. it is lost now in a sea of tech companies trying to stay ahead of the latest fad.. Too many L2 managers that have not been managed.. I am certainly concerned about all the financial aspects with all that is going on now, but overall glad to be retiring.

The company extended some benefits due the corona virus..

Medical/dental/vision coverage extended to end of month instead of ending today (cost to company is zero because they pulled the premiums for the whole month already and paid the insurance companies).

Allowing us to delay our career transition assistance a month (still only 4 months).

No worries, the executive management has not been the same for many years.. I will miss some of the people for sure, coworkers that have survived the years. Most of them are leaving now also it seems.

I appreciate the support and encouragement from TBN folks, thanks!

Stay safe, prayers for all.

I'm sad your old company is but a sliver of it's old self, but I'm glad (if you're glad) about getting out of there. Enjoy yourselves.

So the Mexicans built Stonehenge.

Mystery solved!

Guffaw laugh.

a warm 87 degrees out, long shower felt good after being out in pollen all day, though mowing roadsides in the cab was nice.
Think I'll barbecue some salmon burgers for dinner. But I think a nice cold beer is going to hit the spot first.
Lawn is starting to green up, will really green when rain comes tomorrow. Been pretty dry here; a real sneeze fest with the pollen.
But don't sneeze in the supermarket...

My wifey said that sounds good....she added that, after her workout, she might get off her diet and have some cheetos and wine. :)

Ron, nice pic. Hope BIL gets better soon, and that he doesn't get the virus.

PJS, nice photo. I believe you have almost as many leaves on the ground. I have a 2 acre "mott" of post oak trees just south of my house. There are PLENTY of leaves in between them.

RNG, nice video. I'm still wishing you had put that yellow pipe in the ground. I would hate for you to find out later that you have lost a 1000 gallons to a leak...37 bags of 'crete. You are the current sakrete champion.

I went to town to get some stuff. Walmart and grocery store. Limit 1 TP & milk. I wore my N95 mask and had some clorox wipes. Only a few people looked at me. Better safe than sorry.

Robbed Peter to pay Paul, got an old PC power supply out of a parts computer to get another oldie but goodie running again.

Prayers for all.

Buckeye, what did you do to your test equipment, let the smoke out?
Jim looks like quite the trail. Did you ride the whole trail?
Jay interesting you cannot get a working compressor and remote.
Ted sorry to hear about Max post operative issues. Hope the meds work. Sorry to hear about neighbors loader issues. Hope they can be worked out.
Ron sorry to hear about BIL

Well.. it happened.. I am retired.

All done, laptop erased and boxed for shipping Monday (drop off at FedEx, has prepaid label on it). I'll wait until tomorrow to erase the work emails from my phone in case I have forgotten something.

Feels strange for sure, but it will likely really set in come Monday morning.. I called one of my coworkers who is also retiring at the same time and chatted for 90 minutes.. we worked well together (he was at WW while I was in Americas region).. We did some incredible things in the last 15 years but both of us knew it was time to go when this offer came up. We have each other's contact information and will likely keep in touch.

I was on a long list of folks retiring and the region sales meeting recognized the group.. interesting some folks had forgotten I was retiring and this reminded them.. several skype messages during meeting..

Ship laptop back, wait for separation paperwork, sign and return paperwork, wait for final paycheck. I was expecting my retiree ID badge this week but it didn't come, perhaps soon.. curious about the 'gold clock' too.. I am going to bet now that it is plastic and will come from China. Perhaps I should wipe it down with bleach before touching it.

Stay safe, prayers for all

Are you worn out? :)

I looked up the airport you posted the pic from. Wow! They have a Gollum reaching out over a big room too. Really cool. I wonder how that company makes those things?

Is that E as in Electric Bikes. My wife was wanting one for the steep hills in the neighborhood.

Yes that's electric bikes. I look after a recreational biking group and when started about 4 years ago on the first day 8 people turned up, no ebikes. these days 70 to 80 turn up each week and 90+% are ebikes. They are very good at flattening out hills. Most have some sort of torque sensing so you still have to put in your own peddling effort to get the power out

Good evening all. 51F for the start, .4 inch in rain gauge, overcast, windy. Windy early then wind backed off, overcast most of day with peeks of sun in afternoon. High temp was 60F at midnight, and low temp was 46F late morning. Conserve energy day today, did make fire in insert, and did get a nap in. Will go back to maintenance bike ride schedule (4 rides about 100 mile weeks). Census came today, have to wait for paper questionnaire.
No reported cases virus in my county (Cooke) or 1 county east or west. 4 reported case in the county south (Denton).
Bill sorry about your parking lot incident.
Eric congrats on a sunny day.
Mile good luck with your front porch.
Hawkeye, congrats on retiring, sorry to hear about company decline.
Ron have not worn mask, I am not sick. I do keep hand sanitizer in center console and do hands first thing. I can hit door handle and car unlocks, then use left pinkie to open door. Good to hear you have someone to talk to during the rough patches.
RNG hate to hear about leak, hope repairs goes better. Nice video, you moved so little I thought you had a stand in. :)
PJ nice sunset, I am surprised you could go in Casey's at all.
Ted I have a lot of days like that. Good to hear Max is better.
Jay, I thought only dead people got clod cover :D
Bird I could not find much on last shopping trip, sugar on list and tool a bag straight of of pallet.
OK David where did you sit on the tractor and drive it?
Buckeye, nice pic, gonna be long trip to retrieve personal belongings!
Jim, great scenery, good deal, am trying to do the Katy trail across Missouri again, not sure how that will work out :(
prayers for all.
Stay healthy and safe

Trip to town was interesting. From traffic, everything appeared as usual. At Wallyworld, not overly crowded, but lots of Limit 1 signs and active restocking, especially empty shelves in paper goods and household cleaner aisles. Picked up my limit of 1 TP. Suspect it is an emergency use only variant, having never seen it before nor does it seem inviting. McD’s was takeout only, all the tables in center and covered. Line not long. McNuggets for the furry kids, the 3 of them share a 20 piece.

I was only customer at the brewery, but that doesn’t say much except I’m good with a fresh keg of Volcano Red ale.

Home Depot seemed pretty much business as usual. Clerk I see often said business has been fairly normal so far.

Baskin Robbins was take out only no samples.

Last stop was our usual shopping store. Parking lot not bad, but a shock upon entry, never seen so many people in line, even on SNAP week. Again lots of Limit 1 signs, but also many many empty shelves, even worse than before the boat comes in, even the 2nd and 3rd levels empty. All registers open, fed by 2 lines from opposite directions. No TP. Wife said she wanted to get a bag of chips for ‘shelter in place’. No such luck, not even a single bag of our usual choice.

Barring the unknown, pretty much figure to stay home for next week or two. Wife will cancel her dental appointment unless they call first.

Buckeye, what did you do to your test equipment, let the smoke out?

Test Board is fine, I have a prototype and the problem already existed. I just hadn’t noticed. I’m writing python test scripts to test basic functionality once they start producing, trying to automate all testing. Unfortunately I don’t have too many hours assigned on this project.

Mostly, left plenty of room in operator area, but I did have to get in and out just on one side.
