12 right now...high in the mid-30's and 3-5 inches of snow today...rain tonight. I'll definitely want to clear what I can before the rain.
Visited neighbors yesterday. Kim (the wife) looked a bit rough...definitely not feeling good. But, her spirits were good...half the battle.

Good morning, the temp is 8°F and the high is supposed to be 32 and snow. The Texas low is here. Wind E 17 mph.
A couple of inches today and 6 or so overnight tonight.

These people with 4 wheel drive pickups and summer tires in winter make me laugh. The neighbour caught me going up the road and begged a pull off me. He was stuck in his driveway (GMC). I yanked him out onto the road. I pulled a different one out of the same guys' ditch last year (DODGE).

I think today will be an energy conservation day.

Have a safe day all

Drinking first cup of coffee. 32 °F with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 37 °F with cloudy skies. Got little over 2" of snow overnight. Walkways have been cleared. Got started on blade welder. Waiting for clamps to be delivered. Electronic deadbolt on back door failed. Useless help from August getting it back online. Bought a new one from Kwikset. Plan to install it today.
Felty sorry for Sassy having so much problem eating and drinking water with cone collar. Son reminded me wife had made a sleeve to put over surgery until it healed. Cut a sleeve off old shirt and made to fit. Then there is that look. "WHY". She can now get at here food and water without problems.

Some days feeders get crowded.

Looking, seems like most of the accidents this time of year involve AWD vehicles. Stay warm and safe in cold country.

Roy, prayers for your neighbor.

Randy, nice beater truck.

Kyle, Wisconsin is a great place to visit in summer. He lives a little further north than me and is not protected by Lake Michigan like me.
But I do get Ice Volcanes run off. :D

David, progress.

Rick, lots of nut tree around here. Maybe that is why there are a lot of Squirrels.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

35 going to 57, mostly clear now, but rain coming in today.

Randy, nice truck...maybe it's the other side that is the "beater."

Thomas, hope the new tractor happens.

BEF, bed rails aren't allowed here, either.

Did some target practice yesterday, and then sawed up that log bridge I've been talking about. Rigged up a system of its branches to keep it out of the water. Cut down a dead wild cherry to finish off my load. Now have some splitting to do this morning. Finished off the leftovers from my first IP meal last night...turned out very tasty.

Good morning! Almost a warm morning at 66F south winds but change in coming in a few hours when the North wind returns and the temps will start retreating again.

The cold front's arrival and FireWise clearing start about the same time. Most neighbors don't want to see us because we are taking down small cedar trees. The area we are working in now has some immigrants from that foreign county California. They want us to clearcut so there is no vegetation left.

The hex is still on me, lost more card games than won last night.

Kyle that was not 16 years ago, more like 9ish.

RNG I know how those hour long projects morph into two days.

Randy I thought, Where did that beater truck get all those dents in the side? Then I realized it was just too shiny and it was the reflection of the panels of the garage door.

Has anyone installed an Expansion joint in sheetrock? I have a returning crack in a long expanse, about 30' of ceiling sheetrock, right outside a tray ceiling. the crack is only about 2' long. I can't seem to find a repair person that will call me back and the youtubes don't explain how the sheetrock is attached to the studs closest to the joint. And yes Ron I have a cousin that I will probably end up calling but he just had neck surgery so he would just be a consultant. I was in Home depot and saw a local handy man and asked him if he installed expansion joints and he has never heard of them and thought it was a good idea I should market. HD does not carry expansion joints. This is the 4th time the crack has come back - always in the near spring when we have wide temperature changes.

I hear you. Neighbour’s kid and her boyfriend came up on Friday, and tried to drive into their driveway in his GMC pick up truck with a lift kit. I guess he figured he had enough clearance, and so he tried to make it through about a foot of snow. Got about halfway, and then got high centered. I had to come over Saturday morning and tractor him out. He had nice macho looking knobby tires, but of course they were not winter tires. Told him to get a set. I don’t think he will, because they won’t look as “cool” as his current tires.

Good evening folks, been super busy last few days. I知 sorry to see some are still under the weather. My brother came for a visit with mom, and us. Finally went Saturday and bought that beater truck to go to the dump, etc... the more we looked, the less beater we chose. Ended up with this as our third vehicle.

You got the best looking dump run pickup I know Randy ;)

Good morning, woke up late. Gotta work in the garage and finish cleaning out the trailer today.

Getting boards in the truck tomorrow, I’m too old and short to swinging from the steering wheel like a chimp. I hope they are as tasteful and tucked up as the picture. Still trying to decide about the ARE cap, very nice, could be handy, but it’s not my style, I like a soft cover better. I really did leave home looking at beater trucks! LOL

37 this morning heading to 60, then dropping into the thirties for a couple of days. It’s nearly March and the influence is starting to show.

Hope everyone has a good day, God bless.

Strong thoughts/prayers for your neighbor wife.
With that much snow to expected to fall before the rain why not let the snow suck up the rain, instead of rain making icy surface?

I'll bet he looks 'cool' stuck in a ditch, too.
I run Pro-Comp mud and snow tires on the Jeep. I've never gotten the Jeep stuck, but I also have a winch. They howl a bit, but I also have a good stereo with brand new speakers. The stock ones I blew.

We are getting the least of the Texas low. Looks like it is staying south of the border. Look out N.Y.!

Good morning to all! Low of 34, only going up to 48 today, overcast, maybe some sprinkles tonight.

Randy, I question your definition of a beater truck.... looks nice!:drink:

Ron, Sassy looks a little bit happier, maybe she wants a more designer style wardrobe.....;)

LFN, the Explorer Pro-Comps are really good tires. Well made and durable.

Thomas, have fun with the tractor purchase. Going to get any implements for a package deal? I can think of a few toys... eh, I mean tools that you could get!:cool2:

David, hope the weather cooperates with you so the progress continues.

Did not get out to the shop or out on the tractor yesterday, had to get Max to the vet. He developed a fever and bad ear infections in both ears. He is now on antibiotics. The Fever was much lower last night, and he perked up a bit. No fever this morning.

A few errands today, then maybe tractor time to fix the drive. Everyone have a great day!

I haven't done this with sheetrock, Don, but my first house had stucco siding that was badly cracked all over. I purchased exterior grade paintable caulk to fill the cracks, then painted the house. The cracks were still gone when I sold the place ten years later. Maybe the same stuff would work for your ceiling crack?:confused3:
