DD: I still think the invertalign is better quality. have you tried or seen one? here's a report i found 5 Best Inversion Tables - Feb. 22 - BestReviews

as i mentioned several times if anybody is going to buy one make sure you like using it cause it only works if you use it. I agree that in a lot of cases saving money is great cause i'm always working on finding a good deal so if you are happy and you didn't have to spend as much that's great.

the key is if the one you buy you like using.

Good Morning!!!! 50F @ 5:15AM. Partly cloudy. High around 65F. Winds light and variable.

Lots of choices for an inversion table in the local Facebook ads, DIF. I'll keep an eye out for an Invertalign, but wonder if are there other brands worth considering?

When I asked the internist how long I should lay upside down on the table, he suggested that a half hour would be OK . But he also warned not to go fully inverted, at least at first, and that somewhere between 30ー and 45ー would be a good place to start.

There was an awkward moment at the urologist's yesterday when I had to drop trowel for the digital exam: I had my concealed carry with me and didn't want to startle him. He didn't mind at all, and we had a nice discussion of calibers and favorite makes while he did the deed. When he reviewed my x-rays, he didn't find any kidney stones, so I feel like I dodged a bullet. Maybe the hard water here has been a help; the calcium in it will bind with the oxalate in my gut, letting it pass harmlessly through my system. But when I asked him when my next appointment with him would be, he smiled and said probably never. He's retiring. I congratulated him, then asked for a referral. He shook his head and told me he didn't have one. Apparently there's a shortage of qualified urologists in the area, and I was told to keep my eye out for a younger, good one.:confused2:

When I figured the number of fence post concrete bags I'd need, I used 0.6 cu. ft./80 lb. bag because that's what was listed on HD's web site. But when I went to pick up a load of 'em yesterday, the clerk said they only sold 50 lb. bags. :confused2: The Ford doesn't have the capacity to carry all that are needed in one load, but I still had to re-figure the number. Turns out 36 was half what I'll need, so that's what I bought. Come to find out someone had punched holes into the bottom row of bags on the pallet they wanted to sell me, and the loaders didn't want to remove them before putting that pallet into the truck. I stopped them; I didn't want that mess in the bed, either. They reluctantly agreed, but apparently that led to some uncertainty in their count, so they threw a few extras on top. When I got home, I learned that the Kubota's FEL wouldn't lift the pallet, even after I'd taken 400 lbs. off. Pulled off another 400 lbs. and I was good to go, but then had to move the other 16 bags. Decided to just pile 'em on the forks, 8 on each fork, but when I got to the shipping container, only one tine had bags on it. I didn't see 'em fall of because I was going backwards to get to the container. And then one bag fell off again when I went back for the 8. I was hoping to avoid lifting any of those bags, seeing as how I'm now shopping for an inversion table...:confused2:

The generator's supposed to show up today, and I know from yesterday that the FEL will lift somewhere around (36 - 16) x 50 ~= 1000 lbs. The generator weighs almost 1300 lbs., so I hope the delivery truck has a lift gate on it. But if it comes early enough, the neighbor'll have his giant backhoe here, so maybe we can use that. Otherwise, it could get interesting. One thing I know for certain is that I need to get the landscape rake off of the tractor and put the box blade on: I'll need all the ballast I can get if I end up having to use the forks on the tractor...

TGIF gang!:drink:

If your generator has upper lift points, you can chain or strap off of your loader cross members or arms to increase your lift strength.
It will surprise you how much more lift just a few inches further back will gain.
I have lifted close enough to the tractor that I have had to place a plank on the front end guard to cushion the load.

$40 would be a no brainer for me if it's not beat up. I don't know how you could beat one up though unless you're a gorilla.

I guess I knew that, Lou, but hadn't thought of applying it to the genny problem. THANKS! Always good to have a new "tool" on the shelf!

RED: for $40 if its in good shape and you can use it that might be worth buying. if you can maybe have the owner set it up so you can try it that would help so you can see if you'd use it.

if money wasn't a huge factor i'd buy the $429 one cause it has the cups for the ankles and the ratchet handle so you don't have to almost touch your toes to get out of it.

keep us posted and if you have questions just ask and i'll try to help if I can.

Good morning to all! Low of 15, warming nicely to 55. By Sunday they are forecasting highs around 58. By Tuesday, the high will only be 34.... time to ride the temp roller coaster....

DD, have a safe trip to wherever.... I am sure multiple places... watch out for birds! Gonna be tough thinking about a tractor waiting for your return....

David, that is really one big erector set....

Drew, hope your neck / back feel just a little better today.

RNG... anxiously awaiting all the new toys to play with... Sorry to read about the concrete bag fiasco. You probably lifted way more than you expected to do....:hissyfit::mur:

I did not get out into the shop at all yesterday, stayed in and did a bunch of paperwork that I have been procrastinating about doing.... all done now.

Couple of errands, go to PO to drop mail off, then maybe to the shop.... should be warmer by then.

Everyone have a great day!

The $199 Costco one has heat and massage, which were recommended by the internist. Sounds good, but the brand is a no-name, and at that price, it almost sounds too good to be true. It is covered by the unconditional Costco warranty, though.

What do you think?

Auger man at 10AM, solar parts delivery around 1PM, generator at about 5PM, and I need to return the rented auger extension and pick up another load of concrete, too. Busy day shaping up!
