Good morning! 62˚F heading to 62˚F with clearing skies. wind from the west, front just came through heading toward Kyle and Rick. Just walked the Whip and now finally heading to the garden and later to HD to get spray Lithium Lube for the garage doors. I found this excellent You-tube on the proper way to lubricate garage doors.

The past few days the heater and A/C have run and a mildew smell would be present when the A/C came on. Yesterday the A/C man cleaned the evaporator coils and installed a UV light in the duct above the coils. So far it's good.

Randy and BEF prayers to you and your family.

Drew it just doesn't feel like I'm on a vicariously vacation without pics.

Don ... this is what I use on our 14’ x 16’ roll up doors on the shop.

24 after a low of 19 around midnight. Snow, changing to rain by midday with some heavy rain later is the current guess. High of 44.

I went to the doctor with a cut on my shin, since I had the septic cellulitis they put me on antibiotics as a precaution.
Ellen went later and also has antibiotics for a sinus infection.
Her mentally challenged sister was taken to the hospital with poor kidney function. Hers appears to be dehydration.

I got a call from both nurse and moms doctor, who is also my doctor, recommending she be put strictly on palliative care, so I guess the countdown begins for her. She would be 97 April 15. I am not ready to face the world without my mom, but I guess we never are.

Good day and prayers my friends.

Prayers for you guyz.

My mom is 90 and doing fairly well. She is the only one left in my hometown, 2 hours south.

And yes wngsprd we just celebrated our 43 anniversary on Wednesday and it still seems like yesterday

Happy Anniversary Bups. Prayers for your family.

Don, UV is a good thing in your AC's air handler. Just be sure to turn it off when you take the cover off. We are getting rain.

Short story about my pastor's mom. She had been bed ridden for close to 10 years. During Pastor's last visit (a couple of months before she passed), he said tears were streaming down the sides of her face as she cried to him, "I wonder if Jesus has forgotten about me?" I can't imagine being bedridden for 10 years. She was ready. When she passed, It made it an occasion of tears of joy he said, knowing where she was going. I hope I can be that strong when my mom passes.

While financial retirement is important, the real retirement is of far greater importance.

Good morning all! Here in the NH coastal range known as “The Blue Hills”, we’re at 14 now after a low of 6 earlier. Temps are forecast to climb through the mid twenties tonight into the mid thirties tomorrow. Snow is forecast to move in about 4 PM and out early Sunday morning. We’re on the line between 4”-8” and 6”-12”. The old 6’ kwik-way plow fabricated onto a ssqa bracket is working well, will make the snow cleanup tomorrow morning more fun.

It’s been an interesting week, with roller coaster temps, and Mom’s furnace stopped working Wednesday afternoon. She spent the night on our couch near the woodstove.

The plumbers crew arrived Thursday morning and found the problem was no oil to the burner. The master plumber arrived after lunch with a replacement pump, but determined the line from the tank to the boiler was plugged. We cut a hole through the basement tank closet sheet rock to get to the tank valve, where he had requested the carpenters to install an access cover but they didn’t, pulled the line, and a small bit of black gunk flowed out ahead of the oil. He pointed out the pencil marks on the studs either side of the new opening: “access cover”! I’ll be installing one after the fact. He blew out the line with a CO2 cartridge, put everything back together, fired it up and Mom was back home Thursday evening with the temp inside into the low sixties.

Mom is soon to be 88. I’m glad to have her next door and be in a position to care take her during this phase of her life.

Enjoy your day, eveyone!

The good news is today's ride was short and fairly easy. Bad news is I had to turn around and come home.
Thought I was doing ok and then felt plain awful, had to sit down I was so wobbly. I can't go on a trip like this, have to get well first.
Was hoping for slow improvement but this has been too much of a roller coaster.
I don't give up on much but this time I think safety and common sense has to come in first.
Could not be more disappointed.
So no pics, no visits with childhood friends and big loss of reservation deposits.
Plus I busted up my rv, though you can hardly tell.
All together, a big fat strike out.
More doc appts next week and headed downtown to pick up prescription anti nausea meds. If I just hurt, I'd tough it out. But feeling weak and wobbly while driving, no.
better days

Sounds like you made a good decision, Drew, but that's the best that can be said of the situation. I hope the docs can figure out what's going on and have you back in the pink in no time!

65°F and .58 inches rain since midnight. Off to less than great start. But I remain hopeful.

Glad to read Drew got off on his adventure. May just be energy conservation day, unless dryness develops.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Wow Drew, I’m sorry to hear that. Maybe the doctor can find the problem and get you on the road next week.

Flu wise, I'm hearing rumors that the flu shot this year again miss-targeted the strain that's most wide spread. But doesn't it make sense that this would happen every year? Seems like people wouldn't get the targeted strain, and a strain that wasn't effected by the flu shot would be the one to spread. Our medical geniuses are just gonna have to figger out a better mouse trap.
I came to the same conclusion.
That is exactly what happen to me several years ago, got the other strain of flu, and I Don’t get the flu shot anymore and am better off.
