Couple of interesting things lately.
Stopped at Sam’s Club optical. Lenses in my glasses have been making noise when I move around. Found lenses were not tight in frame even with screws tightened down tight. New lenses on order.
Made a order at Rural Kings weekend before last. It never showed up. Got ahold of customer. Order had a label. But was never received by USPS. Today 2 packages showed up.

Got a statement for power company this morning. Saying my bill was overdue. Seems they canceled my auto pay when I gave then a new bank account number. Their mistake. But they wanted it to be my problem. Took 4 very loud calls to get them to admit they made a mistake and were going to fix my account to correct error. I still have to pay the bill. ☹️

Sounds like Groundhog Day, Ron. Yesterday was like that here. Tried to order a noid light fuel injector tester on Amazon, but they wouldn't ship to Kalifornia, even after trying a couple different suppliers. Then tried ebay, but seller cancelled order because he couldn't ship to Kalifornia. Then found it HomeDepot.com, for less than either of the other two. Just got an email that it's waiting in a parcel locker at the local store for pickup.:confused2:

Then I tried to find the steel pipe I needed for the solar panel supports online. Just wanted to get an idea of price. But prices were all over the map, up to and over $600/stick. Finally called local steel supplier, and they had it for $170 a stick. But they wouldn't deliver. So now I'm waiting on a call back from the neighbor with the 20' trailer.

Some days you're the bug, others you're the windshield...

I didn’t get a power bill one month, didn’t miss it until the next month and my account was past due.
I don’t autopay much.

buckeye, if your vehicle is an automatic, then you could use your left foot on the brake like I do. That will take some of the working pressure off your right leg.

I知 managing. Driving makes my right leg hurt and traffic doesn稚 help.
??????.
By the sounds your ride to work slower than my slow stroll to work was.

Lol, an hr with light traffic. 1:20 is usual with traffic but no accidents. Can be 2 hrs if an accident.

They ruled out stroke for wife’s dad. He can’t walk but has movement of legs and arms. Hope he isn’t getting GBS. They are having neurology look at him.

I don't know how many joints of pipe that you are going to need but,
I have hauled many sticks of tubing and joints of pipe on the side of my trucks.
Lots of tape and rags and cords.
Open the hood find a place to secure a strap or rope, close the hood;
go to the door and with the window down or just thru the door with a strap,
then pack to the rear of the box and repeat.
Then using those 3 points secure the pipe in the rear,
lift it up and secure at the door (about mid point) then
secure at the front. Wrap with rags and tape to prevent scuffing the side of the truck.
Moved a lot of piping and tubing that way when I didn't have a rack that could support 20 ft joints.
For just a few pieces nicer then a long trailer.

It was a cloudy 34ºF morning with increasing sun and temperatures the remainder of the day. I spent the morning taking Wifey to the dentist, get supplies, and pick up some stuff at the hardware store to cap/seal our unused stovepipe that I capped with a couple of rubber buckets ~30 years ago. Apparently they suffered catastrophic failure and blew off in yesterday's winds. Time, UV degradation, and mold finally got the better of them. I do not like ladders on terra firma, I do not like ladders on my roof, and I especially do not like having brought up the 6' stepladder first and discovering/remembering that I need my 8' I used an 8" metal cap this time and in keeping with the derelict ambiance of this property a brand new topping 5 gallon plastic bucket.;)

DABSGT- Thanks for sharing David Paul's life story. RIP David Paul. :( "— she has waited for the knock on her door for 32 years" :( Sad and similar tales repeated and heard far too often.:( Despite the available resources, for many reasons this still happens. :( My + thoughts and prayers for all the innocents whose life on earth and/or whose innocence was lost far too early.

Bruce- I do not think which way/direction one pinches matters. I pinch the indent area between my thumb and forefinger. Tonight's snow to mixed precipitation will probably leave ~1" of slush. Saturday's predicted snow may end with some mixing as the cold air damming erodes away. I may see some seat time.

David- I am sorry to read about Sophie's cracked tooth and now the pending oral surgery.

Randy- I hope to keep reading + news from you.

Drew- I am sorry that your stomach challenges continue. I hope that everything that you are doing to help yourself finally lead to some resolution.

Drivesitfar- Welcome to TBN and the GM thread.

Kyle- I am sorry to read about your property and neighbor issues.

BEF- I am sorry to read about your FIL. I hope that they find out what's driving this weakness.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Thanks, Lou.

I need ten pieces, 1300 lbs. of steel total. I wouldn't trust straps and rags for that, but I've got the neighbor's trailer for that.

I'll keep your technique in mind, though, for when I have to get one more piece because my measurements were off.

Hey, wait a minute!

Just noticed I crossed the threshold into Super Member status. Sure beats heck of Elite Member; I'm not very comfortable with so called "elite" people.

When do I get my blue TBN shirt with red and yellow S on the front?
