Interesting. My current insurance company has my 3 polices ending on different dates. All getting maximum discounts.

Yep, it was the same here as long as you don't change one or two to another company. If you change one of the policies to another company, would you still get those discounts?

Ted- Those crampons are already seeing daily use while walking Brogen. I could see myself getting in trouble doing some of the near vertical slopes on the property. I am keeping them on my main outdoor boots; all I have to do is put my boots on, tie the laces and buckle in the back crampon strap and I am ready to go.

RNG- I have had no problems doing my hill main pathway's slope. In the Spring I could probably use them to dethatch and airiate the grass or pick up roadside trash. I must put them on and take them off by the slider door exiting and/or entering the house.

It never got even close to freezing around here today.

Got out on the tractor today! Took much longer than I originally thought it would... about 6 hours of seat time! Some of the dirt was soft, some rock hard. Took off about 6 inches and got it level enough for stone / gravel.

Good evening all. 57F this morning, overcast,windy. Wind blew all day, overcast all day, high temp was 66F. Another slow start this morning, puttered in kitchen till I went out and got Volagi ready to ride, lube new chain, clean ring gears, move and lube pedals, move cadence sensor, move rackbag, move rear light, remount headlight, clean rear rim and spokes, and air the tires. Trek needs bolt replace on rear rack and chain clean and lube still. cleaned stove door glass, cleaned out ashes, filled wood wagon, cleaned up sticks in yard, napped, and helped wife make spaghetti sauce.
Got email from sis,BIL needed valve replaced and is doing ok.
Drew scary stuff that numbness, good luck with garden club snacks.
DABSGT, nice your friends were able to retire.

PJ my sil has had chickens for years alway slowed down during winter about 1/3 summer is the norm, I think.

What an unplanned day...

Wife called dentist, but thinking maybe a sinus infection. Trip to office and xray, now awaiting appointment for root canal.

So normal weekly errands got done today, gassed up cans for mower, even a nice Sushi lunch. Ended up being a 6 hr excursion. Got home just before skies open up again. Couldn’t have mowed anyway.

Good morning all. Above freezing and no rain (yet), can't expect much better than that for early January.

Ron, I was out walking Max last night when the clouds parted to reveal a brilliant moon that lit up the fields. Made me think about your new GGD, how is her first month on this planet going ?

My phone contract finished in December and I have been paying a higher temporary rate while I decided what to do next. Normally I am happy to use Android, which used to do everything I wanted, however control of hearing aids has never figured into that decision before. Over the last few weeks I have used the same "App" both on my Android phone and also on an iPad. I only tried the iPad because at times I have been frustrated by how long Android took to connect up. Both do the job but the Apple experience is significantly better. An iPhone 8 is now in my near future.
