New Year's Eve. Aaahhh, how things change. Today is also my wife's 76th Birthday. Before I retired from the police department, many years ago, we always had a neighborhood combined party on New Years Eve for Margaret's Birthday and a New Year Party at our house, and yep, the party always lasted until a little after midnight. And now . . . well, we just got back from going out to eat at Rosa's Café and Tortilla Factory. I offered to take her wherever she wanted to go, and she said, "I'm a cheap date." And she was. But we both do like the Wednesday special; 3 tacos (any flavor), beans and rice, etc. And where we used to stay up until midnight . . . . well, I'll do good to keep my eyes open until 8 p.m., but she'll probably stay away to watch the New York Times Square celebration.
Happy Birthday Mrs. Senter (sp?) Hope you have a good one.
I took one final motorcycle ride in 2019. Took my Bu,taco for a ride in the woods. It was cool (32), wet, it had been snowing lightly...so why not. I went and enjoyed some time in the woods.
It isn’t,t new, it isn’t exotic, it definitely isn’t fast, but was just the right choice for a last ride of 2019
Oh man, I'm drooling. Have never rode one of those. Do they have piston cracking troubles like the 360's? Do you already have a wiseco piston or something similar? I have spent days on an Ossa Super Pioneer 250 up in the mountains around Ruidoso New Mexico. Needed more power. Maybe it was "tired" or too rich.
Don, did you have any help putting up all those cinder blocks? Hopefully you had a loader and unloader and you could just be the carrier with the FEL.
Interesting geneology's youz guyz.
Yes Randy, Elizabeth Montgomery was a beauty. Although I remember a non make up and messy hair photo of her, on the cover of TV guide one week. Her life ended too soon.
Took kids for a country ride. Only oldest 14 year old daughter appreciated it. Went thru the antique area east of Giddings, specifically Oldenburg, Warrenton, and Round Top. Nothing major going on there this weekend. Place becomes gridlocked in spring and fall during the antique festivals.
Came home, picked up a dead oak branch that had fallen on the barbed wire fence, pulling out the top 4 staples/steeples.
Decided to start a burn pile since the wind is dead tonight. Got most of it burned. Had the son help me bring firewood to the rack in the front of the house.
Been having trouble sleeping all night. Even though I'm on Terazosin, I still have to get up 1 or 2 times to p. Hard to go back to sleep if it's past 3. Maybe I should start trying to beat Roy to the early bird post, except he has an hour head start..
J- too cold for me. Same for all you guys up there. Stay warm. 3 dog night, or maybe just 1 Brogen.
Roy, easy on that Jamesons tonight....but enjoy.
PJS, I'm with you. NYE is great if you're young....I did wake up last year just minutes before midnite to say yay! Then back to sleep.
Happy New Year my tractor brethren!!! Prayers for a healthy year.
