Good evening all. 38F for the start, overcast, light wind. Clouds cleared out about 10, wind stayed on light side and high temp was 56F. Denton Turkey Roll today, long route was a whisker short of 71 miles, 9 am start, 3:35 finish then off to East side for a cold one. Nice company, and nice weather. This is the only place where I have seen 100 different beers, ales etc on tap. taps on wall behind bar.

Looks like my autocad software has been disabled. It comes up as non activated, but I have a copy of my activation. Haven’t tried it for a few months. They have now gone to a yearly subscription fee, mine is older with no stated time limit. I’m sure not paying $400 a yr for occasional use. I still prefer micro station over autocad, but it costs $2600 I think.

TCU was the victim of a bad call tonight. I think the NCAA refs are following the NFL refs lead in not overturning calls, even when an obvious mistake. An ex NCAA basketball official friend of mine said they don’t like instant replay so they won’t overturn because it makes them look bad. In reality not overturning an obvious bad call makes them look much worse.

Supper at macaroni grill was good. They warned us it might take awhile to get our food as they had a party of 35 that had just ordered. Turns out to not be bad, think we got ours before some of them. Way too many carbs though.

We were too full to eat cake at home afterwards.

Nice bike ride mostly.

Misty and hardly a breath of wind, making the 7C/45F feel very mild for this time of year. I keep forgetting to take holly cuttings, better do that today before it gets too late for them to root.

My wife really likes sweet potatoes and I do too - apart from the texture - and the flavour. She used to makes a really tasty frattata with ordinary potatoes, now it gets polluted with those sweet things, yuk. She obviously believes that once I have heard the phrase "It's better for you" a few more dozen times, I will get used to them ... Divorce is a little extreme, so I try and take the taste away with dollops of Heinz Salad Cream.

LS, I thought you were downsizing, that looks a very generously sized garage :)

Mostly, 71 miles of bike riding and 100 different beers ! What a good nights sleep you must have had afterwards.

Good morning,
temp is 25 and we are going to a high of 36°F. Wind ENE 7 mph. Rain showers or flurries.

Mostly; 71 miles is a long way to roll a turkey, especially in a tad over 6 hours. My back would be broke for sure.

My first car was a 1950 Ford 4 door. A real rust bucket. Bought it for $50.oo and sold it for $50.oo just outside the Quebec/Ontario border. (I was living near Toronto at the time.) My list of vehicles went like this; '50 Ford, '61 Morris Oxford with a Austin Healy motor in it, 2 '59 Pontiacs (identical except for vin #), 64 Pontiac Parisian (wrote that one off in just ten days), '55 Packard Panama Clipper Super, '64 Ford Galaxy, '65 Ford F 100, '65 Mercury F 100 (they were both identical and the Merc eventually became a Ford), '65 Chev C 10, '76 Cadilac Sedan DeVille, '85 Dodge 3/4 ton with 1 ton rear suspension (brutal ride until you put a box full of green Oak in it), leased a 1998 Neon (I got it brand spanking new), '84 Lincoln Mk 7, '86 Lincoln Continental, 2001 Jeep Wrangler/TJ and the '13 Dodge Journey. Of all the vehicles I owned, the Packard was the second fastest and got me the most speeding tickets. The Neon was the fastest. I have only missed out on one steal of a deal in my lifetime, a '39 LaSalle Hearse, One of the local motorcycle clubs got it.

Today is a 'rest' day, so I am going to do exactly that.

Have a good day all
