Good morning!!!!

DEF indicator on rv was showing half full, cheapskates didn't fill it up on delivery...so I bought some no name Louisiana made DEF at Napa this morning
and it took the whole 2 1/2 gallons. Indicator then showed a happy full. I believe it burped... 6 gallons will last me a long time.

Put the smart charger on the big Massey and it went green in under three seconds. That tells me it certainly is charging when running. While I was there I cleaned up the engine comp't with a rag soaked in Napa Protectant and it all looked good when done. Then I took off the charger, not much desulphating in that time period but battery is still pretty new. I go around and charge up everything before the winter, lots of equipment that sits going nowhere until Spring.

Fiddled with a few other things and now forcing myself to sit and do paperwork. Starting with ordering a Jackson & Perkins amaryllis for my MIL, which she gets each year.
I used to send a lot of flowers for xmas, now I send Florida citrus. But my MIL can't eat all that so she has always gotten her amaryllis and then given me a full report on its progress. And then I have to pick a fabric for the rv valences, that is long overdue, I've been dodging it because reaction was not positive, but maybe I'll just stick with my gut on this. My late wife was so good at this, I was blessed.

I think I'll order the material and have SIL make a test valence and let me put it up in the rv to see. These are very small cardboard backed valences that pull off the wall by velcro. Maybe four inches by 14 inches. So can't be a big pattern, that much I knew. So I went with something bright, light and with dashes of color, one being the beige/brown of existing woodwork, which hopefully will tie it in. Worst case we'll just cover it over again. My SIL is thankfully very good at this.
But I have to pick it out.

69°F and no rain.

Time to start serious prep for next stage of my power update/upgrade - change out current quad Outback inverter system for newer Outback Radians. This is a complete change out of everything between solar panel combiner boxers and batteries and between batteries and AC distribution panel. Have been contemplating this for more than a year but with the recent battery change wife opined that sooner is better than latter. She wins 🤙
My original thinking was to self install using the newer factory wired quad system, but having installer do so with the prewired Radians and my assistance for about same cost.
Likely be a 2 day event so on generator power those days. Tentative start date next Tuesday 11/19. I’ll be ready

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

RNG- Despite the bike annoyances it reads that you hooked up with old friends and had a decent road trip. I am happy you returned home on your own motorcycle safe and sound. You are right about the truck vs SUV. Now that I started thinking about my old Landcrusier I remember the back was always dirty with something that I was carrying around. I’m definitely going a 4 door pickup truck route. That newly marketed Jeep truck is looking better and better despite it being overpriced relative to better equipped midsized 4 door pickups.

Drew- Amaryllis plants make for excellent gifts ;). Good luck with the RV valences.

David good luck with the inverter conversion.. I am happy to read that you survived the trembler. Earthquakes are rare events around here.

Good news on the Tundra for a change. The guy who owns/runs the tire center said my tires are in pretty decent shape and would not need replaced until this Summer. He also recommended a tire rotation with the alignment and referred me to a local mechanic down the road

My two rosemary shrubs are now basking in the light and “warmth” of my indoor light garden in the cellar. I am planning to start some basil and other culinary herbs to join them. I might as well take advantage of the +$1K credit with the electric company and my plumbing will like the additional heat.

Good morning.

Temp is 7 and going to a high of 18 °F. Wind N 8 mph. 40% chance of flurries.

I have my work cut out for me today. 11:30 I need to be at the vets' with my cat. She doesn't seem to be all that interested in food, nor iving. Her regular food she hasn't eaten in two weeks. All she wants is Temptations cat treats and not many of them either. She turned her nose up at sardines in oil, although she did drink the oil. She is still grooming herself, but I want to know what is going on with her. She has lost 2 lbs in 2 weeks and that is not natural.

That is about all that I am doing today.

Have a good day all

Sure is tough when they can’t tell us.
Best of luck

My Dad, 1 brother, 2 sisters, my Mom’s brother, and various Uncles - Army, Navy, Marines, Air Corps. Never heard any of them discuss even with each other except a couple of benign photos.

Thanks to all of them and all who served.

Added: growing up, something of a sense of duty, 5 boys in our family - one went Air Guard, 4 active Army, 2 retired, 1 retired Air Guard.

Don, currently thinking not much as I’m leaning to keeping the 4ft sliding door operational. Open spaces is a good thing, right???

If the army hadn’t stationed my father in law (passed in ‘92) in Japan after WWII I wouldn’t be blessed with my wonderful wife.

41°F and cloudy this morning, dropping through the day to around 13° overnight. Rain started here around 10:00am, and quickly turned to heavy snowfall. Prediction this morning was for 1-3". If this keeps up, well certainly get more than that.

The organ concert Friday was fantastic. The organist is not only a former coworker of mine at the organ company, but he is also the organist of the church where these concerts are held. No one knows that instrument better, and that was obvious in his performance.

The trip to the doctor was also productive. Ruled out any serious infection by a lack of any other symptoms except a cough. Had a five minute respiratory therapy just to be sure, then prescribed a cough suppressant pill. Seems to be working, as I have been able to sleep through the night while lying horizontal all weekend.

Saturday was mostly running errands for The Wife, and some indoor puttering. Sunday was more errands in the morning, then finally dragged the rotary cutter around the pasture one last time. Started the outdoor winterizing, and called it a day.

Checked in on the guitar builders' forum late Sunday evening, and discovered that my recently built guitar is now officially an "award winning" guitar. Didn't see that coming.

Looks like the battery bank turned out great, David.

Thanks to all the veterans who have kept us free.

My dad was Quartermaster Corps, he landed in the first few waves on Omaha beach, they were to preposition supplies and ammo for the landing troops and take out wounded. They had to leave the KIAs because they had no room and the fire was so heavy.
My mom was a Sky Watcher, she still has her wings.
