Good morning!!!!

53°F and cloudy with a light mist this morning, going up to a whopping 56° today.

Got a whole lot of nothing done over the weekend. This infection has been beating me down for far too long. Been battling it for over a week now. Not getting much sleep for all the coughing, and just tired all the time. I left work early on Wednesday, didn't go in Thursday or Friday, and pretty much just spent the majority of the last four days either in bed or on the couch. The only upside is that the weather around here hasn't been in the "Chamber of Commerce" category - cold and rainy - so I haven't really missed doing much. Pulled up my big-boy pants and went to work today.

Seems like you guys are all as busy as ever, though. Thanks for all the well-wishes.

Yup, still waking up on the green side of the grass.

I don't typically check in much over the weekends. The Wife usually keeps me far too busy with all the "Hebrew Slavery" for me to spend much time on the computer at home. Oddly enough, I generally have more "free" time at work than I do at home. This weekend, though, was mostly spent trying to get some decent sleep.

The low this morning looks to be -2°. The high yesterday was 19° with a couple of inches of snow , today is going to be in the high teens again and partly cloudy with 15-20 mph wind. Tomorrow is going to be colder with a chance of 5-6 inches of snow.

I have a friend on his way out to go elk hunting. But I-80 is closed from Cheyenne to Rawlins and they are not sure when it will be opened back up. It may put us back a day or two but it will all work out.

My oldest grandson got his first deer yesterday in Utah. He was hunting with my daughters boyfriend. He is the grandson that is legally blind.

I hope everyone gets well and stays well.

Paul - hope today finds you feeling better.. the daughter that lives with us brought home the crud 10 days ago.. she was off a couple of days feeling miserable, grand daughter got it and over the weekend I got it.. all stuffed up, aching, hard to sleep, sore throat. I am miserable today, but at work anyway (work from home).. We got the trampoline put away Saturday in a rain/snow storm, then worked in the shop prepping for storing trailer.. we had piled all the decking we bought in the way of course since we planned on building the deck, so we had to move a bunch of stuff, then move the whole pile of decking (~1700lbs). We got it mostly ready, but were pretty much wore out for the day.. so we finished up yesterday, got the trailer put away, not have to organize/clean so daughter/SIL can fit their travel trailer in for the winter.. we had planned on only having our trailer, but the kids didn't get their shelter built this year so we will have their trailer one more year.

Stay safe, prayers for those in need.

Had a meeting with the new boss that I will have if I keep my current job (she is a brand new manager), have a meeting with potential new boss if I change jobs in an hour or so.

Thanks. I've never actually felt bad. No congestion, no headache, no fever, no nausea ... just a nagging tickle in my throat causing me to cough. A lot. My upper body is a bit sore from all the coughing, but other than that, it's just the lack of getting any good sleep from coughing.

Me too in the grub hoe/mattock group. It was a grub hoe growing up, mattock in the army. Whatever the name a useful tool that wears me out too soon. Also had a pick axe growing up.

Not envious of the cooler wx some are reporting. Can’t say I miss snow at all.

We too have a feral pig problem. Always damage found when I mow/brushhog outside our fenced area. Wife put me on notice that area. Next to the coconut palms has a stretch she fears her mower would get struck. My solution is to lower the flail/brushhog and keep going. Not happy when they unearth rocks.

Time to get back to stubborn bolts sprayed with PB Blaster and hope for best

Sure did make the house smell good. Going to food pantry volunteers tomorrow morning.

changed oil in garden tractor, a push mower and the whole house gen today.
Nice day out, but I've been kind of lazy, just going slow.

I had similar to that a year or 2 ago.. they thought it was an infection, so gave me some antibiotics, but it didn't fix it. What fixed it was a 10 day course of Prednisone, followed by morning and night QVAR (now something else, but if I stop taking it, the cough returns with a slight nasal drip). Dr said I have reactive airway disease (asthma). My cough lasted 5 months or more.

Hope yours is short term and you get better soon.

The shipping container arrived right on time today, delivered on a trailer and pulled by a big Ford pickup truck. The driver pulled through the pad I'd prepared, squared it up, and tipped up the trailer to slide the container off. No fuss, no muss. I just need to move a little gravel around to build a ramp at each end, and I'm off to the races stuffing it full of firewood.

I wish more things went this smoothly...

Brownie and chicken soup look delicious. Wife is making chili.

Nice shipping container. Doors at both ends really handy for a 40 ft one. I had a 20 ft one once and was always moving stuff to get to stuff.

My first pneumonia started as a cough that didn’t go away. After a couple months I went to dr and found out pneumonia.

I blew leaves out from under deck, then mowed them and most of back yard. Then mowed along creek and back hill of field that I skipped last time. Then kept going and mowed field. So then I did the front and got it all done.

Just a beautiful day.

Contractor was late getting to my place. But made up for it by getting all the repairs done today. Tomorrow a little sanding an painting. Job should be done.

Generator fluids and filters changed.

Replaced part of the diesel return line that was leaking, now there are more leaks. Luckily I have enough tubing to replace, just tight working area for my less than nimble fingers. Better get back at it.

Good evening all. 50F this morning, overcast, light wind. Sky stayed overcast, wind was light to moderate (north) and high temp 55F. Choir practice, then remount old storm door because of no handle and cold weather. Then went for bike ride and nap.
Leafs are just getting started, couple of pretty trees across fairway are just now turning.
CWB, congrats to your grandson!

So far the away team has won all the games. Astros need to break that trend.
