Your skills at warranty extension are impressive, Don. I'd expect a refrigerator to last far longer than 5 years, though, so check the Samsung reviews for yourself to see if you'd be happy with the runaround more than a few folks have gotten when the darn things went on the blink.

Not knocking any brand in particular, but I bought one that has minimal electronics.

We had similar damage a bit over a year ago. I spent two days doing remedial work and after 3 weeks grass grew back and all was good. The hogs re-attacked and tore it all up again first week of November ‘18.

good evening all. 50F this morning, clear, calm wind. Wind was moderate with brisk gust, sky stayed mostly clear, and high temp of 75F. Chapel this morning, then make wife's breakfast, then bike ride. Normally don't ride on Sunday, but with the weather forecast, much better riding day than the rest of the week. Stepdaughter came over and missed nap :( .
Drew, do nothing days and energy conservation is nice.
Eric nice work on the divider, in Missouri most everyone call the mattock a pick-axe, works well in hard clay and rocks. Ask me how I know.
Buppies water back over the dam so lake is full here, hope you pond fills soon.
Kyle most of the newer autos have soybean based insulation :(
RNG when sleeping in communal quarters, I always use ear plugs, safe bet at least one person will snore. Glad the trip went well
Lou thanks for the cable size vs amps and length info,
Jay wild hogs have become wide spread. My SIL/BIL have them bad on MO/AR border. hunting and trapping help, but articles I have read state about 2/3 population need to eradicated each year to keep totals # of hogs stable.
buckeye, nice pic, good to hear outlets working.
Rick sorry about hogs, nice work to minimize the damage.
prayers for all

Can you shoot the hogs on sight? Or do you have to wait until a particular month and then have restricted calibres.

This is our second frosty morning in a row. The sun looks good for a bit of low angle through-the-window warmth this afternoon, in the meantime there were enough embers still glowing in the living room wood burner to quickly get that going.

I should have guessed I would find a good number of mattock appreciators on TBN.

BEF, that mortice and tenon fence has lots of character, did you put it in ? I have often wondered with that style of fencing, how you would go about replacing a broken rail or post without digging it all up. Life is pretty good at the moment, so please don't reveal any secrets if it means you have to kill me afterwards

looks like a nice day today, sunny, high in 70's.
I think I'll do oil changes today, crank up the stereo down at the barn and get dirty.

When I bought my washer and dryer when I moved here five years ago, bought all manual Maytags. Regular spin the dial controls with mechanical push buttons.
Has worked flawlessly. I simply do not want to talk to my dryer by Bluetooth...

am always amazed how expensive refrigerators are. I did my whole kitchen in white Kenmore Deluxe. Kenmore of course is now a dead duck, I'm sure they were Whirlpools anyway, like most other brands. So far those Kenmores have kept working fine, if I keep the ice jams free in the ice maker. 2500 bucks for entire kitchen including vent hood. Looks like prices have really gone up since then.

Looking forward to Paul recording a play session with his new guitar. PJ, you feeling better?

have a great day guys.

51 going to 71 and clear.

Rick, nice job on the hog damage fix.

Was telling my wife Saturday that I thought that day was the peak of the leaf colors here. Yesterday morning's thunderstorm knocked many leaves off, but still looking beautiful...and the creek is flowing after the drought dried it up.

Looking over my list of to-dos to decide where to start a perfect day.

It looks like our leaves are starting to peak some very colorful reds but about two weeks late

Poured second cup of coffee. 35° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 63° with mostly sunny skies. Spent part yesterday getting ready for contractor to come to repair and paint ceilings today. Son brought his travel trailer down to park on RV pad for the winter. It has been winterized. Granddaughter got blower out and cleaned leaves off patio and walkways. My day will be making sure controcator has all the stuff I agreed to supply for ceiling project.

Leaves on trees that I posted last week are mostly on the ground.

Eric, I think you need some help. Just not sure where it should come from. :confused2:

PJ, hope your cold has gone away.

LS, hope your spigot is fixed.

Rick, no feral pigs here yet. Nice repair job.

Buppies, all the reports for appliance failures have me worrying. Samsung washer/dryer and Induction range. Range is 8 years old. So far they are OK. LG fridge no problems after 20 years. Fingers crossed.

Prayers and best wishes for all.

Good Morning All.

I don't know if it's true everywhere (although I think it is), but in Texas the feral hogs are considered a nuisance animal and anything you can do to get rid of them is legal.

Good morning! 49˚F cloudy, heading to 79˚F. Tractor work this morning at the gardens - dirt and block work. It is suppose to rain the next two days so maybe all my fall seeds will sprout. I had to re-plant about half because it got too hot and dry right after I planted the first round.

Hogs can be shot year round. Until recently some counties were offering bounties on the ears.

Short day today...drove my 50 mile drive to work to find no power at the plant...and, probably not for the day. I'm back home with my company laptop, hoping to be able to access the company shared drives...so far, no luck. Problem isn't on my end...

So, if the weather's decent...might clean the gutters later...

RNG, you could be swimming in women.

Prayers for the winds to subside and for the safety of the firemen and people.

Super foggy here. waiting until if lifts to head out for work. Doing a bit of work from home.

Ron, your pic looks like a postcard. What a beautiful yard.

Buppies, my slicktop stove cracked. I didn't like cooking on it. Went retro, back to coiled electric. 2nd best to gas, IMHO.

Hogs....shoot 'em anytime. Day or night. Fortunately, I don't have a deer corn feeder, and I have not had problems yet.

Eric, same for me. If the info is too "above my paygrade", better off not knowing. Enjoying life.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Prayers for all. Randy and his upcoming medical stuff.
