44F over cast low 50's for high chance quick shower or two.

Outside chores are done E muffin time. :licking:
Did quick walk about no big branch limbs or trees tip over from the high winds :dance1: sure ALOT leaves on the ground now.
Plans for today...If the winds decrease or blow in my favor back pack blower will get some run time,if not might putter in the house. :confused3:

Enjoy the day all.

1st frost of Autumn outside now. Temps dropped a couple more degrees since I was out at 5am patrolling for skunks (only saw a possum) when there was only dew. Now frost on the roof, and patchy on the ground.

Jay, we watched Downton Abbey and want to see the movie, just haven't had a chance. Glad you liked it.

Don, how's snake class?

Drinking second cup of hot coffee. 32° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 56° with mostly sunny skies. Have not decide what to do today.

Help neighbor get motor on his lawn vacuum running. Used the good stuff. Berryman Chemtool B-12. It would not run off the carburetor. Only with a squirt bottle squirting gas into intake. Poured half a bottle into gas tank. Let set for half an hour. First pull it started on it's own. Ran for 15 minutes. Then changed gas and oil. While many recommend Sea Foam. Chemtool B-12 is much stronger and will dissolve just about anything that was created by gas that has aged. Do not leave in engine or tank.

Buppies, forgot to add "belated" birthday wishes. Hope you find the perfect truck.

By the local Costco they built a double roundabout. All kinds of problems, accidents and people ending up on the wrong road. In the picture Costco is on far left lower corner. I enter where the blue truck is in center of photo. There is a third roundabout out of picture on other side of freeway. What could possibly go wrong with this design. :confused3:

Rich, hope they leave you alone to get some rest today.

David, hope they find what is wrong with your truck.

Prayers for all.

Good Morning All.

good morning all.
as for the electrical plug, I've been boating almost 20 years and rv'ing almost ten, and I've never done that before.
Perhaps I'll be kinder to the lady who drives away from the gas pumps with the nozzle...all I hurt here I think was my pride.

campground that was so empty is now almost full. This is Halloween weekend here and the poor decorations took a hit yesterday in 30-45mph winds.
My friend here in DE loaned me his nice garmin gps, which I just so happened to give them before their trip out west last year. Beanbag mount, will do fine on dash.
So that's a relief despite my written directions. I would like less drama today...

had a nice cup of coffee, took a shower, realized teak seat I put in shower is too big, made it hard to move despite the ability to sit down; need to find a smaller one.

Headed North on Route 1 in DE today up to 95 and then NE extension of Pa turnpike to Lansdale. Absolutely nothing attractive to look at entire drive, and I've made it many times. Waiting til after 9 to leave, let the traffic die down a little. Going to get fuel first, lots of stations going up Route 1, I look for Royal Farms because they have large fueling islands.

Buppies, happy Birthday youngster
Ian, welcome aboard

42°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 68° today.

One of my old bands is playing a show at a small arena in St. Charles MO tonight. A couple who hired us to play at the husband's birthday party in SanFran back in 2014 is flying into town for the show, then getting together with a bunch of people for and early dinner Saturday afternoon before flying back home on Sunday. They invited The Wife and I to the gathering. Will be fun to spend some time with old friends/bandmates again. We're meeting at a popular Mexican restaurant in our home town (Granite City IL), one that The Wife and I were just talking about less than a week ago. Great food, great friends ... what's not to like.

Happy (belated) Birthday, Buppies.

Paul, hope y'all have a great time. Mexican food is my weakness. Chips and salsa...

Yankee fans left the stadium nearly empty with the game still going. Sounds like University of Texas fans. :)

Did they really, been a Yankees fan all my life and never saw that. I guess with 27 trophies on the shelf you can get a little jaded.

Got down to 44 this morning, high of 63 later, wind has laid a bit. Heavy rain due in Sunday. Ellen’s dad is in the hospital with heart issues, she’s been dealing with getting care for her mentally challenged sister, her mom has Alzhiemers and is in the nursing home, but Ellen doesn’t miss a beat. I wish I had her fortitude.

Have a good day guys.

Good Morning Everyone!!!

A raw, overcast, breezy 44ºF for today's low temperature; a breezy 48ºF presently with mixed sun and clouds which is probably really close to today's high temperature. I am hoping for increasing sunshine later. Normally I would not fire up the wood stove with these temperatures, but it sure feels good this AM. If it dries out enough I'll clean the deck of accumulated leaves and get my kindling rack set up; otherwise putter around inside.

I'd bet that the civil engineers designing most traffic patterns if administered a psych test or two would reveal serious passive-aggressive sadomasochistic elements in their personality traits; possibly serious past or ongoing abuse of psychoactive chemicals. I suspect that many of them lie awake at night thinking about new ways to configure traffic patterns to further confuse the driving public. I swear that they switch those Jersey barriers around Boston on an hourly basis.

Rich- You deserve a day of R&R; enjoy your bourbon.

David- I am sorry to read about your Tundra.

Phil- Enjoy your afternoon off. Not a lot of Fall colors left in this area of western MA. I wish you safe travels.

Billy- I never intended to get sucked into the TV series, but between Wifey, Sister, and Niece I got hooked and have seen almost all of the series shows. The more I think about the movie the better I like it. There were at least 2 maybe 3 decent subplots developing by the end of the movie. I would be highly surprised if there was not at least one sequel movie. My love affair with Toyotas ended after they recalled my Tacoma which failed on 13 points of the frame. I did get my brand new Tundra for $13K with the rade; (I got 150% of blue book value).

Drew- I wish you safe travels.

Paul- I hope that you and your Wife have a great time hooking back up with old friends and band members and enjoying a decent Mexican meal together.

I hope everyone has a manageable Friday and decent weekend.

My + thoughts and prayers.

Good morning! 44˚ƒ at sunrise, now 64˚ƒ heading to the 80s. with lots of Sun no wind.
Ron I get confused just looking at that double circle.

Buppies a belated happy birthday. It is fun looking, not so much fun negotiating. This is the time of year to be looking for the deals and the 2019s must go.

I'm prepping Whipper for the big SNAKE tomorrow but I just can't get her excited, she just yawns and says "Whatever, a rattle snake without fangs is boring".

Getting fancy with the degree symbols and italic f. Nice. Well, get Whipper one with fangs so she can show off for the other dogs.

ƒ caught my attention

Poor "innocent" looking Whipper. I am curious as to the training. It may not be for the squeamish pet owner. Don I wish you and Whipper good luck and hope for a + outcome.

Billy- I hope that you and your Wife get an opportunity to see the movie.

The wind and rain really messed with my herbs still alive in the gardens.:(

72°F and .06 inches rain.
No trip to town this morning for errands and we slipped in last night to get needed items at HD to proceed with generator install. So my focus will be out in the tractorshed today.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Made my adjustment to the garage door bracket, much better now. So I plugged it in and gave it a test. Went a ft then stopped. adjusted the open pressure and it worked.

Rail very unstable, it bounces around a lot.

It would stop on close a little early, so adjusted the close sensor. Still a little open so I made sure door was all the way closed, latched door, and adjusted sensor again.

Then I decided to record it working, hit the button, door started then stopped. Tried it a few times, it actually bent the GDO rail.

IMG_1911.JPG

Well Drew, this was my oops moment.

I forgot to unlatch the door. So now it won’t work even unlatched. Goes up about a ft and stops.

I pulled the release and I can open it by hand fine. Going to have to brace the track.

So my satellite tv would not come in last night, so son scrambled to sign up for a trial of YouTube tv so we could watch the game.

Then he stopped watching about the 6th inning. I turned it off after. 8th.

Today I adjusted dish again. I hadn’t tightened the bolts enough, and the strong winds yesterday moved it. So got that working.

I guess with 27 trophies on the shelf you can get a little jaded.

People around here in "Cardinals Nation" have a similar issue, albeit only 11 trophies. It's sometimes hard to reason that only four teams made it this far, and your not going to win every year. Fans of traditionally successful teams have that problem; you always expect them to win. When they don't, the phone lines at talk radio stations light up with a quickness, and every caller is the best manager on the planet. Sports fans can be funny like that.

I thought the Astros would probably not be beatable by a NL team. However, that Walgreen's team looks pretty sharp right now. Might be a good series after all.
