Good morning! It's slowly warming up again, 65˚F heading to the 90's.

Gray2 got his name from his step brother Gray1 (whose brother was owned by Marvin Zindler ) their fur color not the stain spilled on them. But Gray2 is putting himself up for adoption again. The neighbor sent us a text with a pic of Gray2 sitting in their house on her husbands lap. He apparently just walks inside their house when he goes on his adventures. I glad they enjoy him or we would be understandably in trouble with the CA. The attack Owl was sitting on top of the neighbors house across the street when we got back from whippers walk yesterday evening. Gray2 is not allowed out early in the morning or the evening because at only 9 pounds he is a "ones-a-meal".

Went to Costco for my free hearing re-Test and hearing aid adjustment. The last time I went was 5 years ago when I bought the hearing aids. They programed on the T-Cell option and now I be able link in directly to the speakers mic in a lot of the large rooms in the neighborhood and community. I now have 4 different programs:
1. Normal loud (almost filterless) - so I can hear rattlesnakes
2. In vehicle - filters out the road noise so I can hear my wife while driving - all directional so I can hear backseat passengers.
3. Crowd - hearing aids are directional towards the front and filters out the low roar of the crowd.
4. T-Cell - picks up the speakers voice directly through his microphone and a wired loop in the ceiling- to be tested soon.

Thomas, you forgot the first line of you good morning post. Here I fixed it.

"39F more sun than clouds upper 50's for high.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!!

A windy (20-25 mph constant) and rainy 60ºF here on MV and the weather is expected to deteriorate further today/tomorrow as this strong low pressure further develops and tracks over the Cape and Islands. We may leave today, a day early, as it is looking ever more likely that the ferry service will not be running tomorrow due to wind and sea conditions. We'll see. We've BTDT with most to the Martha Vineyards attractions already.

One thing I/We noticed is that in 60ºF temperatures many of the MV locals break out their winter coats; and there we were wearing T-shirts. At the restaurant last night many down vest and winter coat patrons were complaining about "the draft" as the waitstaff were serving us on an enclosed (and heated) "outdoor" deck. It was freakin' hot. One couple had "0" tolerance (probably wanted to avoid tipping the waitstaff. Oh well too bad for them. We had a great time and great food. I discovered that hot sake and key lime pie pair well.;)

That's the news so far.

It saddens me to read how the healthcare delivery system does not allow for a seamless continuum of care and earned benefits .

My + thoughts and prayers.

After reading your issues I checked out a RAM forum and found this;

I spoke with customer support and was told to perform a reboot AFTER the update took place but was still showing as required with the annoying popup "schedule update" screen. My radio was not outputting any sound but would let me change inputs. Backup camera and phone bluetooth worked for calls but not much else.

"Harman Radio FOTA Concern. Customer may postpone the FOTA update up to 20 times. After this, the radio transitions to 吐orced update mode, and the user is required to schedule the update. Radio functions are blocked in this mode until the update is completed. In certain cases, under this 吐orced update mode, the FOTA may complete, but the popup continues to persist even over ignition cycles. If this condition occurs, the following procedure can be used to recover and clear the popups.

Important: In the recovery process the ignition must remain on and the set time must be allowed to expire prior to performing the two button reset.

Recovery Process to stop popups from recurring:

1. Choose 'schedule Update'.

2. Set time at least 2 minutes ahead of current time. (For example, if the radio currently shows 10:46 AM, set the time for 10:48 AM). This step is to ensure that 都et time is in the future, and not recently past. However, customers CANNOT set time earlier than 10 minutes past the hour. (For example, the set time cannot be anytime between 10:00 AM 10:09 AM, 2:00 PM 2:09 PM, 11:00 PM?1:09 PM, etc.)

3. Confirm that the time is set 2 minutes into the future and select 'Set Time'.

4. In the next screen, select 'OK' to approve the installation. Do NOT press the X. Verify the time on the screen is the correct, no digits are missing, same as the time originally selected. If this screen does not appear, re-initiate from step 1.

5. Keep the ignition on and wait for 3 minutes to allow the set time to pass (for example, if the time was set for 10:48 AM, wait until at least 10:49 AM). Ignition must remain on throughout this process.

7. The 'Schedule Update' popup will appear again after the radio resets, but do NOT perform the Set Time at this time. Instead proceed to ignition off BUS sleep cycle.

8. Perform a complete one hour BUS sleep cycle.

a. Ignition off.

b. open door

c. close door

d. lock the door

e. Wait for One Hour.

f. Make sure keys are 25 feet or more away from vehicle if a Keyless Go vehicle.

9. After the one hour BUS sleep cycle is completed, turn the Ignition On, and confirm that the software update pop up is no longer present."

I just checked mine and it seems to have performed the update without an issue,
have to see if it comes up again.

Unbelieveable! Who comes up with this stuff? :confused2:

The chances of me executing that procedure successfully are about the same as me winning the lottery.

As an ex-software professional, I'd be mortally embarrassed if anyone ever found out that I ever had anything to do with that cluster f***.

You guys with new Dodges, my heart goes out to you!

Good morning!

T'was a little frosty overnight, temp is going up to a high of 63°F. Zero % chance of rain/snow until Saturday.

I have a dump run today as well as a shopping trip; drug store and hardware store. I need to map out a route for the float that will be taking the Jeep to Timmins. I know the route, I can do it blindfolded, but the guy with the float doesn't.

Have a good day all

Good eye Don
That non Blue was more than $3K cheaper for almost identical specs and I got a 2nd bucket and a ripper. Hydraulics are separate from tractor which may be a benefit, don稚 know.

You can buy yourself a LOT of blue paint for $3K, David!:laughing:

RNG, for working on equipment on the gravel driveway, I save the biggest cardboard boxes, especially those with nice photos of the product...it helps to slide on and if any oil drips, wipes right up.

Thanks for the great idea, Wng! The tarps I've been using are the freebies from HF, so I don't mind just throwing them away if they get too oily. But they have a tendency to blow away if they aren't weighted down, and that's a PITA.

Good Morning!!!! 57F @ 6:15AM. Plentiful sunshine. High around 80F. Winds NNW at 10 to 20 mph.

Sake and key lime, Jay? Why yes, it does sound like good eats (and drinks!).:laughing:

Think of all the money we'd save on healthcare if our medical bills didn't have to pay for all those folks working for insurance companies. Oops, sorry Drew.

According to the PWS (Personal Weather Station), the power went off at about 2AM. When I checked the fridge temperature, it was reading 45F, so I started the generator and it's been on ever since. It's now down to 41F, but the freezer has warmed from -20F to -9F. Now I'm wondering if my "winning streak" is continuing and I should start shopping for a new fridge. Please keep us up to date on your fridge shopping adventure, Don. It might be real handy to have some coattails to ride.:confused2:

Bodyshop neighbor came home from work with a new Generac generator yesterday, but it was still in his back seat when he came over for a beer at 8PM. He'd asked his wife and kid to load up his fridge with water so it would stay cooler longer once the power went off, but neither one did it. Figured since they didn't care, he didn't either, so will just leave the generator in his car and let come what may this morning. Glad I didn't wake up in his house this morning!

I am a little concerned about what might happen if the generator I have konks out, though. A lot of food would be ruined (again), no fire warnings, no news of any kind in fact. With a full 2400 gallon tank, I'd be OK on water for quite a while, so it wouldn't kill me, but there'd be no sprinklers for the house and I'd better hope the old Ford fire truck started if another fire did come. This solar power misadventure has been going on since last April, and still there's nothing to show for it. I think it's time for a Come-To-Jesus phone call with the sales clerk I've been dealing with.:grumpy:

At least I found a well rated (on Yelp!) exterminator yesterday. They'll be the first call of the day a little later.

And though it might be a little premature to say so, one of the trouble codes on the van stayed away during yesterday's trip, so that's some progress. Just before I left, I took another look at the code spoofer I installed, and when I followed what should have been the ground wire, I found that the other end wasn't hooked up to anything. I'd just used the lead that was on the bootleg version the ex-mechanic installed, and mistakenly assumed he could have at least gotten that right. Uh uh. There was even a bolt within reach of the wire, so it was an easy job to crimp on a ring terminal and hook it up. But the error code that reappeared was the one the code spoofer was supposed to fix, so I guess I'll be on the phone to the guy that sold it to me today to try to figure out why. Seems like the generator is gonna get a workout, huh?

Happy Hump Day, folks!

RNG- Maybe it was the number of sakes consumed that led to the successful "pairing" with the key lime pie. It boggles my mind how the two electric companies and politicians serving/representing CA consumers can get away with their shenanigans and only the consumers/constituents appear to suffer. I hope that you can continue to stay out of harm's way, your generators run as anticipated, and if needed your old pumper pumps.

The rain is increasing in intensity and the wind has increased to 35 mph sustained.

One MV ferry service has already shut down operations. We do have ferry reservations for 5:00PM, provided that they are still operating. We could be here until Saturday. We have Plans A, B, and C determined.

I have to post that as a weather geek this is one interesting and developing low system. And there are no real weather concerns at JaysterAcres in the Berkshire Hills. I do not anticipate very much needed rain there either. :(

Brogen being "abused" at the gulag during his solitary confinement. I did not know that he would tolerate headgear. Poor boy;), depending on our circumstances his sentence may be extended.

Thank you. I feel better now, honestly just shook my head after reading this. They are foisting their problem off on the public...
I'm off to go pull the radio fuse shortly, will let you know if it all goes back to normal.
