51 to 65, breezy and damp but not much rain. I’ve got a busy day, monthly breakfast with the guys, home health nurse, doctors appointment and dentist appointment. Then Ellen tells me there is a meet and greet somewhere tonight.
Went to Texas Roadhouse last night with friends.
Hope you all have a great day. Prayers for the group.

I would have stained the kitty from nose to tail and started calling it cherrywood or whatever color your using. How do you believe gray got it's name? Wasn't Don's barn floor gray? jk... :)

I don’t understand the panic start of Verlander on 3 days rest, he had never done that after a full start, and with their staff I just don’t t get it. I think they will win the series, but if they don’t they can point to game four.

Yep, they started a rally in 9th but, ran out ..... of outs.

Had it worked, starting Justin on 3 days rest, would have been considered "masterful". But .... it didn't. So, now ... there's Thursday.

Good Morning. It's 67° this morning and headed to 92° this afternoon. Summer's back ... at least for a bit. Forecast says 95° tomorrow. Maybe ... some much needed rain Friday.

I need to get back to more tree trimming before it gets hot today.

Everyone have an excellent Hump Day.

Prayers to all.

Need to pour first cup of coffee. 45° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 68° with sunny skies. Got lawn mowed yesterday. Haven't decided what to do today. Maybe hook up the 12 volt power port on put on golf kart. But never got wired. Do need a trip to TSC for some bolts.

Great pictures posted.

David, looked at the BH site. It looks a lot like my Kubota 3PH model.

Thomas, what color did kitten stain basement floor?

Randy, watch out all those meet and greets can add to the waist.

Check, my wife had all those lifetime warranties put away in a file. I do not think I ever collected on one. :confused3:

RNG, after they shunt down the power to 600 to 800 k of people I bet there is some kind of action. Being Califonia it may not be the right action.

Good Morning All.

59 going to 65. Cool and cloudy, maybe more mist this morning.

I'm bad luck for the Astros...didn't watch the 1st two games and they won, watched the next two and they lost. Hay BEF, maybe I'll start watching the Yankees...but stay off those ladders for now, please.

David, super nice backhoe, and cool trailer.

RNG, for working on equipment on the gravel driveway, I save the biggest cardboard boxes, especially those with nice photos of the product...it helps to slide on and if any oil drips, wipes right up.

Good morning all. A cool 61 going up only to 72 today in clouds.
Headed to podiatrist this morning for last visit, still have a lump in my foot and discomfort, his treatment
for plantar fasciitis has not been successful, but at least no searing pains like I started out with.

then home to pick okra and probably a few more birdhouse gourds. With no intentions of doing so, I've grown over two dozen of them.
Will be good for local birds, another batch going to Garden Club on Friday.

Bird my neighbor who is Dallas retired PD said he was working on medical insurance. Are they changing your medical insurance provider?

Yep, it's changing, effective the first of 2020. For a few years now, we've had a United Healthcare plan that cost me $860 a month, but we paid nothing out of pocket for doctors or hospitals. We did have copay for prescriptions, dental, and vision expenses. For next year, that plan will no longer be available. I checked to see what it would cost for the same plan, but NOT through the City and it was considerably more. Now with the "exciting" (to use the City's term) change, there are 2 PPO plans offered. The only difference being a cost of $680.07 versus $614.78 a month. They are basically the same, except with the cheaper plan, you pay $10, $20, or even $100 up front every time you go to the doctor or hospital, not quite as much copays with the more expensive plan which I decided to go with. Now supposedly, this new plan not only has some allowances for dental and vision expenses, but also some allowances for such things as $500 for hearing aids.

So up front, I'll be saving $180 a month and the new plan may turn out to be better for us, but depending on our health, it could turn out to be worse. And we didn't get the stuff in the mail from the City until a few days ago, too late for 2 of the scheduled "meetings" to tell us about it and help us get enrolled, but with 2 more scheduled. And we had to get everything done for the city by the 24th of this month, including calling one of the companies to cancel some of our current insurance effective the end of the year to avoid double billing.

And everything we got from the City failed to include any information about costs. I found a way to get to that in their online website. And in just a little over an hour on the phone, I got us signed up for next year with a couple of very pleasant and nice ladies; one in Pennsylvania and one in Tennessee. Of course I went through a couple of others before getting to the ladies who could actually do something.

And of course, as with every year, the City reminds us that if we EVER drop the City insurance, there can be no going back to the City in the future.
