Good Morning!!!! 58F @ 10:30AM. Sunshine this morning. Becoming mostly cloudy with showers developing this afternoon. High around 65F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50%.
Well, we did get some drizzle yesterday morning, but it stopped around noon when my buddy was set to leave. Said he had a dry ride to the campground, but around dinner time was watching lightning and rain approach. Hope he didn't get too wet, but he was crowing a bit about a new Swedish tent so it will be interesting to hear how he made out. Enjoyed a glass of wine with my body shop neighbor that evening, and watched what was probably the same storm move across the southern sky. Lots of lightning and black clouds...
I'd be interested in reading your get-in-and-out-of-the-looney-bin list, Jay. Never know when something like that will come in handy.
I feel your pain on the road condition problems, Drew. We pay huge taxes on our fuel and "enjoy" some of the worst roads in the country. And I watch money being dumped on roads that are just fine while others in the same area are so bad I'm surprised I haven't bent a wheel on them yet.
Got the new tire mounted on the red bike after moving the exhaust collector a quarter inch to the front. Nothing a big rubber hammer couldn't fix. Then took a nice nap; about time I enjoyed one of those.
Did some shopping for a shipping container, or two, this morning, and found a place selling 10'x8' ones. I'm thinking that might be a good way to shelter the generator and the balance of the solar power system components, though I'm not sure how to handle the heat that the generator is sure to produce. Might be looking at installing some ember proof vents, and not sure they'll work on a shipping container. More homework needed.
Thanks for the reminder on the grease, Scrambler, got some fork lift and FEL work planned for today...
Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend!
