71 going to 84. Got much hotter than predicted yesterday.

Glad to see the hurricane map showing it might not hit directly anywhere along the US coast. Even the predicted rainfall amounts on land are much less than what I was hearing yesterday. Still a strong storm, and like all things weather related, nature keeps man guessing and in suspense.

Got the mowing complete yesterday and a few small to-do items.

BEF, glad you were able to get around better.

2nd coffee finished and waiting for the day to lighten up. 49 out going to 70's. Yesterday was also great. I got to remove 5 trees and work on the stone wall for most of the day. Feels good to work and get things accomplished but my body sure is screaming this morning. Need to go to my sisters this morning and do some more door repair, after that think I will do some more tree work. Rain coming for the next 3 days so I will relax then. Hope everyone is safe and healthy.

Good morning. I have just been walking the field where I am trying different things to see how effective they are at getting rid of Canada thistle. Half has been treated purely "organically" by cutting when the thistle reached the full bud stage, with a quarter of it also being rolled. It is still growing a fine crop of very healthy thistles

In the other half of the field I used two different selective herbicides. A quarter has been sprayed twice with 2,4 d+dicamba. The other quarter was sprayed each time with 240g/L triclopyr & 60g/L clopyralid. In each case top growth kill off was 100%, but now both areas again have fresh regrowth everywhere.

It is so hot, you really have to pace yourself outdoors. A fan blowing on you just blows 102F breeze, which is hotter than your body wants to be anyway.

Don't know how any of you manage with 100F+ tempertures, I would expire before breakfast.

No evacuation here wndsprd at least not yet very windy yesterday stiff in fact out of the NE cloudy too until about 5:00 when the sun came out in full force but still windy. Several new turtle nests hope high surf doesn’t get them already up to dunes at high tide. Another day to relax in paradise

Coffee is done brewing. 57° with rain this morning. Heading to 72° with some rain. Got lawn cut yesterday. Not much else. To much company. Going to visit Aunt in Port Huron today. See needs more comfort than I do.

Yesterday was good day for outside work,tree cut down clean up lawn trim and mow all before 5pm.
Plans for today...quick trip to town for fuel and critter food,sear rime on tractor need 8 buckets loads dirt for wash out repair,check game cams,bbqing later today.

Good morning 63 heading to 80
Not much planned for the day other than plan dinner for the family only a few more weeks of nice weather and the kids will be at the lake out on the jetski I may see if wife wants to take a nice slow cruise around the lake in the pontoon.
I put a deposit on a Ford 150 Friday was reviewing the paperwork yesterday and found a few discrepancies called the salesman and was told that I would get a better price if I financed through Ford than a cash sale. What is going on I remember when cash was better, found out that they get a % from the finance company. That's when I told him to put it back on the lot and that I will be there in a few days to collect my down payment. Wife thinks I'm crazy told her I was just going to put some of the money into my old reliable Avalanche and use the rest for her and I to go have fun. Still wants me to get a new truck afraid I'll get stuck someplace.
