Thanks wing I looked at the Toyota but for my two boys a total combined weight of 205 pounds wasn't big enough. With out going to an SUV will need full size.

Look at the crew max, plenty of backseat room. I put a camper top and carpet for the furry kids and 2 bars on the windowso they don’t relocate but get to feel like they are with us.

Turned into long afternoon, meaning home too late to do anything

Got the backhoe mounting brackets off the Kioti. Had to jack up rear of tractor and use my impact wrench, but successful. Found the original piece that holds the drawbar. Cleaned it up and decided it needs some paint, got it during errands, wx not favorable to painting so tomorrow.

Good morning all. Hurricane Dorian is making our weather news. That's either a sign that it's going to be a big one, or that the weather on our side of the Atlantic is boring. I prefer boring weather.

Put the topper on the Iseki yesterday and gave some of the rougher ground a haircut before the rush sets seed. I don't get too concerned if those fast spinning blades are not super sharp, but even so, I need to do some serious edge re profiling after being ambushed by a kamikaze stone that must have been lying in wait ever since the last glacier passed this way.

nice morning out,mid sixties, going up to high 80's today.
Plumber shows up very early this morning, ripping out dryer vent line in crawl space, where I don't fit, and replacing it with hard
tubing, per code. Plus the dryer has been alarming me for a while of a vent restriction, all clogged with 30 years of lint.

then yard helper comes and we work on a variety of projects, including painting and driveway sealing, plus mowing has to be finished.

later on this week it looks like the impact of that hurricane is expected in this area, who knows where it's headed, will it curve or not, and where.
But a very wet week coming up, need to finish my dry weather tasks.

Did you look at the Tundra, or the Tacoma? Tundra is full size.

Finished my indoor project, so took Coco to the river, at the end of the hiking trail we often explore. Saw no one until near the parking lot on way out..a young couple with 3 little boys (one in a backpack) and a fishing rod. They were good about herding their boys back from a strange dog. Much better than when a person approaches fast with his or her hand outstretched. Hope those boys caught some fish and got hooked for life.

between house and barn, 2131 usage, $322 bill, 32 days. Includes flat rate of 35 a month (used to be 20) for an aerial light over the barn (not yet converted to LED...?)
, plus they maintain the lines all the way back to the barn, and bring in a professional tree crew
occasionally to trim the treeline, and they do it by hand, not with an aerial mower that blows woodchips everywhere.
And a separate transformer for the house and the barn. Never figured out the need for that, not that far a distance.
Since one trip from that tree crew wipes out a years worth of my payments, no complaints from me.

Prepaid 600 gallons of propane at 1.80; that was down 20 cents from last year.

Hurricane could miss the coast I heard late last night, that would be a blessing.

51F clear sky low 70's for high.

Last evening Mrs. caught 2 fawns testing carrots in the garden fawns got stern warning,as they stood before entering the woods 1 fawn had look like we'll be back.
Boo Boo had good feed in the rasp & black berry patch. :shocked:
Plans for today...Appointment with investor,get critter food,take Mrs. to super market couple more stores,this afternoon remove and clean up BIG oak limb sure glad I have tractor for this project.
E muffin feed the little critters than get at it.

No offense but you are missing out on a very safe and reliable way to purchase items over the internet. Since 2003 we have used paypal an average of 12 to 15 times a month. I wish I could use them for everything.

I don't blame you a bit, if you had good luck with them, I'd recommend you stay with them.

Dump is closed, so no dump run today. Probably going to take wifey to Lebanon (NH) to look at cell phones. I'd like another Samsung...but I'm not going to pay upwards to a thousand bucks for a cell phone.

Ron, very sorry to read about Betty's passing. You have my deepest sympathy...

One of the best vehicles I ever owned a 1984 Bronco drove it for 20 years as an everyday vehicle then used for plowing neighborhood until it burned up

Ron - condolences to you and your family.

The roof project from H#ll has been over for a week now. It looks good, the new skylights are awesome....but I certainly don’t want to deal with that much drama again with this contractor. Since this is likely the last roof I will ever need on this house.....I think I am safe! This project was way too stressful.

Hauled a load of free fire wood yesterday in the crappy HF trailer. I say crappy in a nice way. My $100 HF trailer gets used and abused and it just does what I want it to do. It is also amazing how much wood I can haul in that trailer.

Put the first vent in the roof of the cargo trailer I had bought and slowly converting into a toy hauler. Emphasis is on slowly.

Randy you are starting to sound like your old self good news from the doctor
70 now heading to low 80's having second coffee and planning the day.
My son just purchased his first house and so far he has borrowed string trimmer and some hand tools all of them have now found a new home. Called me and asked to use my hedge trimmer think I will just stop by home Depot and pick one up for him that way i will still have mine. My youngest daughter told me she wants to buy a house with enough land for a barn and have a few horses but told me she will wait until I am willing to give her my John Deere told her she has a long wait.
