Good morning!!!!

Good morning! 76˚F to 96˚F are the temp ranges for today and next 10 days. Fells like September when the 100s finally disappear.

Yesterday evening they had another laser class, an informal one, so in the afternoon I programed in a project on my Mac laptop and put it on a flash drive, loaded it on the Wood Shop PC mad a few adjustments, then loaded it into the laser's on board computer went through the 25 steps, and now my wife has the first Wood shop card holder with her name lasered engraved into the front.

Yesterday was also the last of the beginner pilates sessions, I tried to sigh-up for the September class but they were filled up. But that's OK, I just got an E-mail from the Firewire group we are starting back up in 10 days after stopping during the hottest months, July and August. The trail blazers also have a meeting next week and our fall and winter projects will be discussed. They have opened up the last new section and houses are already being built so we need to start the trails there. The builder has had control over the HOA for 20+ years but that will come to an end in about 5 years as they sell 80% of the projected houses. The people I have talked to says the neighborhood has had a good relationship with Dell Web and have helped establish the nice Amenities and many Clubs and keep the common area in tip top shape.

Yard day and off to the gym today need to pump-up the lopper muscles.

54 this morning and headed to 83 today.

Take youngest to riding this morning. We normally do the evening program but they also have one during the day for the schools to bring in the special education classes. They’ve got something planned and asked our youngest to participate today. Also have a veterans program.

Then it’ll be back to take care of chickens and work on logs again.

According to the pesticide training program we have to take for our Restricted Use License. It’s your groin. They said it’s very important to use an apron to protect against splashing. What’s the most comfortable height to pour something? About waist level.
Face, Hands and arms are the most exposed, and because of this they also toughen and don’t absorb very well, mostly because of sun damage.

69 headed to 84, glad those 90s are gone.
Went visit mom last night, first time in over a month, we fed her dinner and she held my hand for a long time. She was such a vital woman, working full time into her mid 80s, it hurts to see her like this.

I’ve always worn latex or nitrile gloves and heavy duty filter mask handling glyphosate, but I admit to spraying with shorts and short sleeve shirt many times.

BEF,Ron and Betty and the others in need, prayers and good wishes.

Good Morning. It's 74° with 93% humidity this morning. The high should be 95° this afternoon here in the "rain repel" zone.

The "unload" of my neighbor's welding table got delayed for a couple of days so, I'll head over mid morning and help him get this done.

Don .... sorry Georgetown is getting bad press. Sounds like some politicians couldn't see beyond the end of their noses, as far as unintended consequences of their actions.

Thomas ...... savor the days!

Drew .... that's good news on your JD. That kind of service is rare these days.

Ron .... you remain in our prayers ..... to stay strong.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Prayers to all.

Yep Ron that news has been here for the last 8 months. Just got my electric bill for August:
1225 KWH usage - $175

That does not sound bad. My bill for last month $163 for 942 KWH. They are putting up solar and wind turbine farms all over Michigan.

Good Morning!!!! 67F @ 6:00AM. Sunny. High 92F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

There were four or five lightning caused fires from yesterday's afternoon storms, and one pretty good sized one up near Susanville, northeast of here. Quick response on the local fires kept them to a few hundred square feet, thankfully. The CalFire Air Attack spotter plane seemed to be following the thunder clouds as they moved north, probably the biggest reason for the quick response.

There are recall efforts underway for both the Chico mayor and now our California governor. I support both of them, but will only be able to vote in the governor's case. Both are fiscal idiots, but since my mother taught me not to say anything if you can't say something nice, I'll stop there.:D Perhaps Georgetown could take a page from the playbook out here and get a new mayor sooner rather than later, Don.

Glad you got good news from the JD dealer, Drew. He's probably hoping you'll come in for a new tractor some day.

First thing I do when coming into the house, after going to town or working in the garage/yard, is wash my hands. Never know what kind of germs/chemicals/dirt might be on them, and the last thing I want to do is put any of that on my food. An old friend of mine, a retired mechanic from United Airlines, used to joke that you could tell a mechanic from a manager by the way he washed his hands before using the bathroom. Now, thanks to Farmer, we know why...

My heart goes out to you and your mom, Randy. You too, Ron & Betty.

Got the Helicoils installed on my neighbor's flange yesterday, but since I don't remember how it was installed on the mount, I'll have to wait until he comes by to finish up the job. Hope it doesn't disappear somewhere...

The new patio speakers also showed up, and yes, they do sound nice. Installation was easy, too, just remove and reinstall two drywall screws on each bracket, and swap over the wires. Almost took longer to open the box and deal with the cardboard waste.

Some of my route yesterday took me to elevations of 5000 feet or so, and the temperatures there were quite comfortable. Unfortunately, those elevations "enjoy" lots of snow in the winter, something I'll gladly do without. Those same areas were also blessed with green grass growing everywhere, and wildflowers as well, as if spring had started late and just kept going instead of switching into summer. Also saw a few small waterfalls, some still fed by melting snow. Last winter they got a LOT of snow up there...

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

Drinking first cup of coffee. 51° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 81° with plenty of sun. Did not get anything done yesterday. 4 different people from Hospices came to help with Betty's care. Next few days are going to be tough.

Prayers for all.

Good Morning All.
Prayers for both of you!!!!!!!

75 degrees this morning going for 95 with a 20% chance of rain later today. The last couple of days I've been looking at furniture. We'd like a new sofa for the living room, plus one or two recliners. It seems to me that modern furniture is made for looks instead of comfort. We both visited Rooms to Go and were not impressed. Yesterday I went to the Nebraska Furniture Mart. For those who didn't already know, it's a huge place with and unbelievably huge inventory.

Our current living room furniture came from The Dump in Irving and includes a double reclining love seat with console. I sit on one end and the other end is only used for company. The thing I don't like is that the center console makes an arm rest that is a slightly different height that the other armrest. Then we have a 90" three cushion sofa with each end section being a recliner. My wife sits on one end, but she'd like to lie down on the sofa at times and that's not practical because each of the 3 sections are slightly cupped; OK to sit on but not to lie down.

I want a "normal?" recliner and she wants a sofa she can lie down on, so that means arms that you can rest your head on, not straight high arms. And so far, I've only found ONE set that MIGHT even do.

This sofa looks OK and is comfortable enough to me, but each of the 3 sections are recliners. Not a deal killer, but I wonder how long it'll last and be trouble free.

This recliner is comfortable enough, and being a swivel is neither a plus or minus for me. But the "glider" feature means it'll try to move forward and/or backwards as you try to get up from it. Probably OK for young folks, not too good for us old folks.

I follow a team that is racing at Bonneville this week, and yesterday they set two new records on BMW S1000RR motorcycles. The first was at 233 MPH for a normally aspirated, faired motorcycle. The second, at 193 MPH, was on the same bike with the fairing removed. A woman rode for the first attempt, a very skinny gentleman for the second. I think the trials go through the weekend, and they'll keep trying to better their own marks...

67°, windows open, sun shining.

PT at 10. Also need to be on conf call with lawyers concerning a couple lawsuits that dad has regarding oil gas leases.

I also have tinnitus. I asked my general DR about it, said nothing he could give me to help. Its not too bad, but varies. Sometimes it will suddenly get louder. Now that im thinking about it, i hear it. Before that i didnt notice it.

Gotta get moving..
