Good evening all. 73F for the start, partly cloudy, calm wind. Wind light and north, sky stayed partly cloudy inspite of more rain in the forecast, and high temp was 93F HI 102. Men's meeting for start, then worked with wife to put together tax info for tax lady, bike ride, shower then trip to Sherman to ship tax info, Red Lobster and stop at parts store for oil change stuff. New pickup has cartridge oil filter first one on car for me. Need to change oil and rotate tires tomorrow. No nap .
Don sorry about your day, I need to upgrade license sooner or later.
Drew thanks for update on Roundup, don't spray much of it but if improper safety gear will likely adsorb too much through skin. Also nice you sold chipper quickly. :drink:

good morning all, nice day here, sunny, mid 80's.

Going for third opinion this morning on my tinnitus problem, feels actually like it's getting worse again.
May not be able to avoid them putting hole in ear drum and injecting steroids into the inner ear.
Going to talk to a doc today who does that procedure, find out what his experience has been.
The head doc in his practice, who I saw a month ago, said he didn't think it would help me.
So different opinions, which is ok, my job to figure them out. Trust but verify...

Then back to mow. Got JD back from dealer with a bill for $4.63
That was the cost of three new mower bolts. They drilled the broken off bolt out for free.
Actually I think this mower has a five year warranty, but no reasonable person would expect them to cover that under warranty.
I think dealer just ate it for public relations.

Boy were they busy, small mowers all over, combines towering over the small mowers, I spent a few minutes watching a mechanic put a new cylinder head on a six cylinder diesel engine. Stood next to new top model JD combine, it simply dwarfed everything else around it.
Since I knew ahead of time they weren't going to charge me much of anything for this, I took the service manager a big freshly picked birdhouse gourd and a small icebox watermelon, last one picked. He wouldn't accept money so veggies are good.

Lot of mowing ahead this afternoon, but should be a nice day.
Hope all on the mend continue to improve.

Real nice 60 outside with a flood of dew. In the nice cool temps, Coco and I played until we were worn out. Only shooting for 83.

Got back from gym Home Depot buying ceiling paint yesterday planning to mow, and it rained for about 5 minutes as I drove up, just enough to get the grass wet again. Had plenty to do inside.

Even though glyphosate has been tested and not found to cause cancer by the World Health Organization, the European Commission, the Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency, the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority, and the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment, and the US EPA, I always wear long pants and sleeves, hat, safety glasses and nitrile gloves when working with gly, and don't spray when any wind. I don't use any other chemicals except lime and 10-10-10, and an occasional shot of tick spray when the seed ticks start showing up in the woods.

Hope BEF and Randy are continuing to improve...nice ramp, BEF. I built a skateboard ramp once...still have that skateboard, but the ramp got disassembled and used to build something else.

I'd guess the fastest absorbing skin is either face or hands.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 51° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 81° with plenty of sun. Did not get anything done yesterday. 4 different people from Hospices came to help with Betty's care. Next few days are going to be tough.

Drew, that was cool of JD to remove that bolt for nothing. Maybe your kindness was the deciding difference. Hopefully it came out easy.

Keep us posted on your tinnitus treatment. Mine has been getting steadily worse, and I've been wearing ear plugs for almost all noisy events. But not much help. Have sinus/congestion though.

Eric, my commute is into the sun both ways. I do like a cloudy reprieve, especially in the morning.

Prayers for those in need....Betty and Ron, BEF, Randy, Hawkeye's daughter, and those who have silent concerns.

I went down near Lake Jackson Texas for my cousin's viewing. When you get that close to the coast, the huge oak trees have beautiful spanish moss hanging from them. I took a lot of back roads home. Lots of driving yesterday, got home at 10 pm. Time to head to work today. Off tomorrow and Monday for Labor day. 4 day weekend.

Astros beat Tampa Bay last night in what was a close game until the last innings.

Tonight, Texas A&M plays against a team that they should be able to win....the team they are playing has an ex coach.

Tomorrow night, our high school football team plays it's first real game about 35 miles away. I hope to go watch.
