59 and clear, but supposed to get cloudy and 75...loving these Autumn type days.

Kyle, congratulations to you and your loving wife.

Jay, hope your Adirondack trip is going well...the kayak trip sounded spectacular.

Looking forward to an update from riptides.

Finally had soil conditions just right to till and plant one of my larger food plots yesterday...planted a mix of soybeans, peas, sorghum and sunflowers...will only last for a couple of months for the deer to browse young plants until first killing frost. Walked over a second time planting crimson clover, to cover over winter and bloom in spring.

Conditions for mowing the frisbee field were perfect after a north wind all day dried grass that has been staying damp all day.

lovely weather out, mid sixties only going up to mid 80's today, same all week, no 90 degree temps in 10 day forecast.
Pretty dry for next week also, or so they think.

headed to podiatrist this morning to tell him six months and over a thousand bucks out of my pocket have accomplished nothing with my
plantar fasciitis. Probably because I won't get off my feet for two weeks to let it heal, but I'm concerned at this point doc got the diagnosis right in the
first place. Going to ask for another xray. Has anyone here ever had the operation where they cut the tendon part way through?

JD mower loaded on trailer, ready to go to dealer when I get home. Then I have to finish mowing with the Gravely and my arms are screaming from yesterday.
May only mow what I absolutely have to and wait to get my regular mower back.
I wish the Dewalt cordless impact gun had a torque setting on it. I'm losing arm and wrist strength to do this by hand, and clearly one too many seconds
on the impact gun can have nasty results. I do have a torque wrench, this was an expensive lesson to remind me to use it.

Hope you all have a great day and a good start to the week.

My late wife and I were married 42 years, when you get there you aren’t looking for the pretty girl you met, you’re just happy waking up with your best friend.

68° this morning after two days of 55 degrees early. Same high of about 75 and strong NE breezes for the third straight day.
Nurse coming this morning but I think that’s all today so I will have to exercise on my own.
Fixed my own breakfast today, small accomplishment but as BEF could tell you, all victory is welcome.
I’m not going to complain today, I’m going to thank God I’m still here and improving.

Prayers for BEF and Ron and all the rest.

Good morning! 78˚F BSR (Before Sun Rise) with clear skies which means the temps will be triple digits this afternoon.

Pilates this morning with a new instructor, the current one is on vacation, this instructor is usually teaches yoga. Competition H&F cards tonight. With my 5 for 5 wins last week I moved from 14th place to 3rd place with just 5 more weeks of competition.

The first wave of neighborhood vacationeers took off at the beginning of July and the second wave will leave after Labor day to miss the Summer crowds.

For Mom's car to be insured she needs a DL. Because of her age she is required to show up at the DMV to renew her DL every 2 years, so we will take care of that this week. She only drives to the mailbox but absolutely does not want a golf cart, She thinks it would be too hot or too cold or too wet ( for the 1 minute trip).:confused3:

Kyle, when your daughter gets her DL she could get a pt job delivering groceries for the home bound. My Mom could be her first customer. This service is provided out here but there is no service in Lee county that I have found.

Drank both cup of coffee. 58° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 75° with 90% chance of rain. Lawn did not get cut yesterday. But I did get some seat time removing roots that have grown next to garage where I am going to put some rubber tiles to keep dirt from splashing on siding. Still have more roots to pull. Will see what I can get done. Betty is not feeling well today.

Good to hear that others are slowly recovering.

Prayers for all.

Good Morning. It's 79° with 93% humidity this morning, going to 99 -100° this afternoon. We're under another heat advisory as heat index will surpass 108° again today. Groan!

Our three sets of twin fawns were playing tag early this morning and chasing crows in the pasture. Their mothers were not in sight so looks like they're growing up.

I did get about 4 acres mowed around the house, with the ZT yesterday morning before it got to 95°. I'm planning on finishing trimming this morning.

I need to put the grapple back on the 55 HP tractor and pick up more tree limbs that I trimmed over the weekend

Hope everyone has a great start of the week.

Prayers to all.

71°F and rain this morning, going up to 86° today.

Got a bunch of stuff done Saturday, including most of the mowing. Probably a good thing, as it rained all day Sunday. I had planned on mowing the pasture, as the forecast was for a 20-30% chance around 10am. It started raining around 8:30am, and was still raining at 9pm when I went out to close the chicken coop. Did indoor stuff yesterday, including putting a new door seal on the Kenmore dish washer, which started leaking at one corner last week. Online searches for this part found them mostly around $52-55 ... for a rubber seal!!! Found the same OEM part on Amazon for $44 (still crazy for a seal), and went with it. Maybe we'll get another 10 years out of it.

Wife's step brother came out again this weekend. She'd asked him to complete the finish work in the basement around the walkout windows and floor boards. He had most of it done when he left last night, and is coming back to finish it up today. I had to remove most of the stuff in my studio for him to get around the walls in there, which also provided me an opportunity to do some much-needed purging and reorganizing in there.

The nephew moved out this weekend, not unexpectedly. He left Saturday morning, instead of going to his mandated class, and told The Wife he'd be back Sunday to get the rest of his stuff. Naturally, he didn't come back. So, we packed all of his stuff for him, and it's waiting for him in the garage. Wife was happy to reclaim the spare bedroom yesterday, but was less happy about the burn holes in the new carpet and other issues we'll have to address to restore the room to it's former glory. Will be nice to part from that drama. We tried.

The oldest stepson left Saturday to return to San Marcos TX after his two week visit. Wife is already planning another trip there in the Fall. She really misses him.

Glad to see you are successfully liberated, BEF. Take it easy for awhile.

That is one seriously sweet-looking RV, Drew. Congrats.

Happy (belated) Anniversary, Kyle. Ours is next Sunday.

Then next April, intend to head West.

Looks like an interesting map. When in Albuquerque, I can highly recommend eating at The Owl Cafe. Of course, you have to get a picture of yourself "Standin' on a corner in Winslow Arizona." They even have a flatbed Ford already there for you.
Let me know when you get to the St. Louis area. Your stop in ESL will net you a glorious view across the river of the Gateway Arch and the St. Louis skyline, but the view back into ESL will be less spectacular.

Good Morning!!!! 77F @ 7:00AM. Abundant sunshine. High 104F. Winds light and variable.

Sounds like your mom is working on her second childhood, Don. But the DMV will still have the upper hand in that one.:confused3: Good luck at cards tonight. It would be great to have a new Champion on the GMT.

I've never won an argument with a doctor, Drew, but I've been known to switch.

One step at a time, Randy. That goes for all you folks on the sick list, too.

That clover aught to look nice come next spring, Wng. Do you get your seed locally, or do you order it in?

Did some shopping this morning, and have a new pair of outdoor speakers coming for the patio. The ones out there now sound great, but they're small enough I can use them above the back seat in the van. The new ones are bigger, and will be a better fit for the patio. Free one day shipping from Prime doesn't hurt, either.

Also picked up another Battery Saver to replace the one that's on the fire truck now.

Milled about 0.3" off two pieces of hot rolled steel yesterday using a brand new carbide cutter, and it's already dull. I guess all carbide isn't created equal.:irked:

Hope everyone's week gets off to a good start!

When I developed Plantar Fasciitis I was seeing an orthopedic surgeon for other problems on my right foot.He knew immediately what the p.f. was and had his nurse get me a pair of 3/4 insoles and told me a couple of exercises to do, which I don't remember, but it all worked out pretty well to control it. He never mentioned anything about cutting any tendons and having seen my share of podiatrists I would never let one of them attempt something like that. It might be worth your time to try to see a good orthopedic guy if you have one in your area. I still wear the 3/4 insoles, which can be bought at Walmart or about any drug store. My youngest son developed the plantar fasciitis in his 40's and uses the insoles and pretty much swears by them.

Everyone is different and this may not work for you but it would be great if it did. That is a very painful condition that seems to be pretty common anymore.

Randy, I've also asked God to strenghten us.

I have OT evaluation at 1pm, and PT around 4pm. I declined nursing. Not going to exercise much so i have energy for them.

Did not sleep well due to nerve pain.

I did stand some in bathroom, roll up to vanity and lock chair behind me, then stand where there is nowhere to fall. Standing is best way to stretch legs.
